Asked on: 6/18 10:33AMI can't even beat the first challenge. Pathetic, I know, but I've tried assigning men to water control before torpedoes come in, letting the computer handle the artillery while setting it to AA gun. I've tried doing all the artillery myself, taking out the destroyers first; tried taking out the cruisers first. I always make it to the end battleships, but I sink every time.

Generally, my problem seems to be that the escort battleship sinks before I reach the last battleships, and I get overwhelmed as all three show up at once. Yes, the more guns I have ready to fire at the enemy the better, but that also drastically reduces my ability to avoid enemy shells... the A.I. targeting for the enemy battleships is far superior to my own if I let it fire for me, and my skill with placing shells doesn't seem to be good enough to sink the battleships before they deal critical damage.

statusThis may be a bit late, but try flanking the enemy, broadsiding the ships, "Crossing the T". General naval tactics.
How about the second ship challenge?
In order to complete the first ship challenge you must race ahead to meet up with your second ship, go t formation and then get teh formation to be back to back, and go back to the first enemys and use AA guns while the AI uses the main Artilery. thats how I did it, but be warned it may not work the first time
