uh.. no, The computer L4d and the xbox l4d are simillar but it needs waaay more diffrents items for the computer, than the xbox.

Sure you can. You just won't be able to play against each other, since Steam runs of P2P/Dedicated servers, and XBox runs off Live's exclusive dedicated servers.
