Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Question from cowboydb59
Asked on: 5/24 7:27AMFrom what I've heard, the Saitek Aviator joystick for the 360, unlike the same joystick for the PC, has one throttle (as opposed to two). It would seem to me that Hi-G turns would be impossible with this, since the way you do them is apply full afterburner and full brakes at the same time, and you can't push the throttle in the two opposite directions at the same time.
If anyone has this joystick and HAS done Hi-G turns in Ace 6 by some way I'm not thinking of, or if I'm just wrong about the throttle....
Anyway, my shortened question is: Has anyone done a Hi-G turn in Ace 6 with the Saitek Aviator?

statusI have the Avi8tor and you simply press the front left button for a High-G turn. It's slightly awkward since you have to let throttle to do it but I quickly got used to it. I think the stick works great with Ace Combat.
Additionally, I played the game for a full day before I noticed the stick twists to operate the tail flaps and the stick pushes down to engage the landing gear (only when prompted).
I highly recommend the Avi8tor.
