If you're in a private match press the start button and choose change class, the chose spectator and there you go! You can NOT do this in a match where you gain experience points.

You can do it (Unlike the people above me know) It just requires someone who has mods (Or can mod) to be the host of a public match and everyone can do it, but it stays like that until the host/modder leaves the game.
