Asked on: 6/19 3:32AMI played this game for about 30 minutes and then quit it forever. I went into the pich black cave and brught out the lighter and lit it. But then it went out and the screen waas black, the music got louder, and i died randomly in the darkness! What the heck happened??? I do not like this game whatsoever.
The problem is using the lighter alone will not help you here. I was frustrated for a while too until i looked it up.
Basically before the cave you talk with Michael and he gives you the Lighter, but also you can trade to get a few Torches. you will probably need 2. That costs $20 so i hope you have been picking up the Papaya and Water Bottles lying around. once you have enough to buy a couple, go to the entrance and open the inventory (up on the d-pad) and you can select a torch and ignite it automatically with the lighter. This lasts a lot longer and you wont end up in the dark. Its when youre in pitch black you die.

statusThe black smoke or fog whatever you want to call it that you probably saw in the jungle killed you. If your controller starts vibrating that means your about to die.
