Okay, I was looking at some videos and I noticed that you have like a sword and an axe, is there any chance you can get different weapons?
only the sword and axe. You can "upgrade" them twice, they still look the same and seem to still do normal damage. the "upgrades" are just part of the story plot. but you do learn a number of skills at the 3 Battle Areas in the game.(they look like a sword being help upside down on your map)

statusI heard one time from this guy i know who plays alot that you can get a sheild from some where but you have to buy it buti dont no where to buy it at but he said the ax and sword are better
