Darth_fizz got guitar and bass right... and vocals is basically just if you know the song; though obviously some songs will be harder than others. However I disagree with his hardest drum songs

IMO, those are the hardest songs to *PASS*, not FC.

It depends on whether you're looking at passing difficulty or FC difficulty. It looks like everyone here is looking at pass difficulty, otherwise Young Man Blues would be #1 on drums, not #5. Anyway, the lists look decent with one exception: just how the hell does Laid to Rest make it into the top 5 hardest guitar songs? There are at least 100 songs (probably many more actually) that are much harder...every single song on the Peace Sells album is way harder than Laid to Rest.

Hint: If you want a bunch of all-around hard songs, start by getting the Peace Sells album by Megadeth; pretty much every song is hard on everything except vocals.

Some really hard guitar songs in no particular order:

There are obviously many more than that, but you should definitely have those. I don't know much about the other instruments, but for drums I would suggest the Moving Pictures album by Rush to start...many great drum parts there.

In my opinion:

Guitar: Satch boogie or Surfing with the alien by Joe Satriani (no vocals)

Bass: Panic Attack (I dont play bass often but when I played it, its pretty hard)

Drums: What a horrible night to have a curse or job for a cowboy (the game says panic attack is the hardest, a horrible night is a matter of how well you use your left hand

Vocals: Everybody seems to say I get by or the boston pack (I agree with I get by, the bridge is murder, but the boston pack is easy for me because of my range)
