4 people can play multiplayer offline, there are no bots in multiplayer. There is also Spec Ops which is a 2 player co-op mode, but most missions can be played solo. Then there is Single Player where you go through the campaign alone (which I thought to be amazing.)

there should be offline splitscreen because there were in previous cod games but what is Bots?
There will be bots in Spec Ops mode. Previous COD games didn't have bots for multiplayer game modes. There will be offline splitscreen for Spec Ops and local multiplayer. However, it will only have two player co op.
There wasnt anybots on the 1st one so its a good chance.
but bots are comouter controlled who play as if u had another person playing with you
Split-screen
In spec-op you play against bots while in split screen offline, you can play against one of your friends.
Splitscreen with Bots on Spec Ops, or Private Match offline on split screen.
No campaign coop
But the offline competitive splitscreen is only 2 players? That blows.
Yes, there will be offline splitscreen, for you and 3 friends (4 people total)

Can you do split screen Lan like halo?
If I have 2 tvs and two xboxs can 8 of us play split screen or do we need a screen each?
There is offline splitscreen, you have like two accounts
one is for offline multiplayer
two is for actual xbox live gameplay
sorry but there r no bots that you can play against like in gears of war 2
