Geometry wars, one of the best X-Box live arcade games to date. With addictive gameplay and a cheap price of 400 Microsoft points it is a must have for anybody with a 360.

Graphics: 10

Amazing, shapes exploding everywhere, (That's right shapes) Pretty colors and flashing lights. There is no place other then Geometry wars that you will see such visuals. They are unique to the game. The background is a grid of space that can be disturbed by shooting or exploding shapes. Definitely a major selling point.

Sound: 8

The weapons you use make a cool noise when fired. Bombs have a unique effect to them that I haven't heard anywhere else. The sound of shapes exploding gives you a sense of satisfaction. The music is interesting and suits the game, it can get repetitive though. Over all very well done.

Gameplay: 10

Arcade gameplay at it's finest. You fly around the screen shooting shapes that are trying to kill you ( I'm serious). You start with three lives and three bombs that will clear the screen of enemies. That's it, no button sequences, no techniques to master. It's one of the most simple and addictive arcade games in existence. Once you get into the higher difficulty levels it is intense action all of the time. There is no offensive content and can be played by the entire family. There is also a full complement of achievements to go with it. They range from the fairly easy(score 100,000 points) the the insane(survive 1,000,000 points). It can be played for an afternoon or ten minutes before you go to bed.

Geometry wars is an example of near perfection. The unique experience it gives you will not be forgotten. It can be played by anybody for any length of time. In edition to the evolved version there is a retro version that is also included. It is cheap, 400 Microsoft points- equal to about 4.99, and will give you hours of enjoyment.
