Enchanted Arms

"A Great Classical Addition, and Then Some!"
Plot: For those of you who enjoy a good storyline when playing an RPG, then this just caught your attention. This game takes you through a virtual world of twist, fun, and enduring battles. The main character Atsuma is a young student in a "college" for enchanting and mastering magic. However he always appeared to do things he really couldn't understand. This giving him the edge over average students. He ventures along to understand his power, and master it to do his will.

Graphics: The graphics for this game is simply outstanding. The definition is so high at some points, I find my vision blurry after extended play. This is the X-box living up to it's qualifications. Eye candy cut-scenes, and a beautiful world to explore.

Battle System The battle system is a grid platform turn based fighting system. The difference between this and other Classic RPG's is what we call the "vp system." Instead of carrying mass potions to heal after battle, you can recover automatically. Now how this works is if you constantly run from battle, your vp drops. The lower vp you have the less ether you have to execute a move, so it is wise to fight often, and run less. The more you battle, the more your vp will gradually drop, so you won't always start at full potential. (Note) Different characters have different vp. Another attribute to the fighting system is golems. These can be viewed as summons, except when you have a enemy encounter they are accounted for as a party member, not an optional summon. There are over 40+ golems to catch and master.

Characters: One thing that has really annoyed me in other games is the characters that were in them. Thankfully almost everyone in here was likable. This is an important part of the game, if you enjoy your characters, then you can get into the story more, thus a greater experience. I must say, there is one character in here who is by far the most "unique" person I have ever ran across in a video game. I won't spoil that for you though. =)

Summary All in all if you are looking for a good RPG with at least 50 hours of game play to add to your collection, or something to adventure and have fun with, then I suggest you play this game. I was never bored at any point in the game, and there are alot of unexpected twists in the story. Another thing I didn't mention is this game actually does not lack humor. You will find this a well worth time/money investment.
