"Went the extra mile... the first one."

This game has only gotten worse after the demo was released. It just isn't creative, innovative, or inspiring in any way.

Acting: 1/10

Wow... just wow. N3's voice acting is the worst acting for the 360 thus far. The creators must have gotten random people on the street, because it is BAD.

Controls: 7/10

Great controls, very responsive, and are very easy to learn. The only problem is having to learn tedious combos, which can result to frustrating boss battles.

Gamplay: 2/10

Man oh man, where to start. Well, the game is horrifyingly repetitive. All you do is take down thousands of goblins, sounds fun right, but it just turns into boredom, especially in the 30-40 minute levels. Even worse, N3 has a terrible save system. When you try so hard to make it to the boss battles just to be slaughtered, you have to play the WHOLE map again. Your allies are incompetent in almost every way. They do little to no damage to the bosses and soldiers, so in turn you are just fighting a one man war. The one thing they can do though is be bait and help you fight the goblins without being bombarded on all sides. Also, there isnt even a multiplayer mode to it. Just think, you could've played co-op with friends or might have played some army vs army modes. Even had extensive co-op with enemies just plain out bombarded on all sides. Finally, this game is another hack and slash that seems to steal ideas from Kingdom Under Fire and Dynasty Warriors.

Graphics: 5/10

For a game that came out on the 360, they could've at least tried to have some pretty backgrounds. The characters' hair never moves either, or they just have some really tight gel. The one thing that heightens its score a little is the SWEET combos.

Story: 3/10

Truly nothing special. I didn't even listen to the game's storyline, because of the terrible voice acting. I'm telling it's really, really bad.

Conclusion: 3/10

This game has almost nothing to offer, besides some mindless fun for an hour or two. If you want a fun and cool Hack and Slash, save your money and keep your copy of Kingdom Under Fire or/and Dynasty Warriors. This is a very repetitive game with little to no cool aspects, with the exception of combos.

Rent or Buy

I would say neither but if you have at least want to try it out, say if you love the hack and slash genre of games. Then, rent first. But, I would heavily advise for you to wait for games like F.E.A.R, Gears of War, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Halo 3, Mass Effect, before even thinking about this game.

BUYER BEWARE!!!
