"Aces High!"

INTRO:
You are a pilot in world war two, a good one, where fellow flyers look up to you and praise your well being. One would never think that being in a simple aircraft firefight could be so dangerous and gut-wrenching. Drop bombs, torpedoes, warning flyers. Fire your machine guns and missiles. Watch out for anti-aircraft guns, enemy bombers and fighters, and destroyer battleships. Take off from secured allied airports and hardened aircraft carriers. Most of all, survive and protect your country. You are a world war two pilot, your life goes by in a flash hundreds of feet in the air.

GAMEPLAY: 7/10
The most advanced and greatest controls for a third person view aircraft game. Ubisoft has outdone itself with game controls once again. The controls may be tough at first but by continuing along you'll get the hang of it and in a great progressive way. The game is a fantastic and remake creation of other lesser aircraft games. The starting level is great at teaching how to play and mission control and your fellow mechanic back seat driver Joe will keep you learned. The game is a tad difficult at some points, and you might mess up with your controller now and then but put that aside and things will go smooth.

STORY: 10/10
A beautiful storyline, you're not just looking at WWII history and upbringing, you have to survive and look out for each other. You work as a team and vanquish your enemies together, It's an adventure from downtown London, to the deserts of North Africa. In this game, you aren't an anonymous destruction-stopper, there is no I in team for one perspective but there is an I in win for another. Play what you will and enjoy.

GRAPHICS:9/10
The graphics are altogether astounding, You can fly low through towns, breeze across glistening oceans and rivers, and soar over desert oasis's. But one thing they forgot was, where are the civilian cars and people in some places? The plane details are nice too.

SOUND: 10/10
Bullets whistling, ricocheting and firing make great sound, as well as the roar of the planes and great explosions. There is non-stop chatter between you, your allies, and enemies which could be annoying or helpful. The sound...sounds good!

REPLAYABILITY: 6/10
The game is straightforward, constantly the same. It's fun beating the game, but after that you won't get much to do. Take my advice and beat it and play your favorite levels again as much as you like after.

FREEDOM: 8/10
You can fly your plane just about everywhere, high and low...

DIFFICULTY:
The game is quite hard and you might get frustrated at some times. You almost never play the same role twice, so new things can get hard, but if you do find it easy, you can breeze through game fast.

RECOMMENDATIONS: B
Its a tie between renting and purchasing (sigh) but I rented it.

CONCLUSION:
It's a pretty great game if you haven't experienced something like it before. The flaws and irritants are moderate but this is the best aircraft based game yet. Instead of bosses, you just have really good enemy fighters and aces. I say, play this game!
