"Average Robot Game..."

INTRO:
You are a mercenary running wars for the rich. You put your life near death for cash at the end and a future pleasure. The Soviet countries you fight in are completely destroyed and battered. Tanks roll and feet quicken across the landscape of treachery. But whats more is that this is not modern warfare. You, the mercenary, get to battle in 15-foot high, two legged, heavily armed, metal androids. You and your companions stomp across the wasteland, vanquishing your enemies, but you are fighting yourself in the end. The enemies have machines similar to yours, also commanded by mercenaries. Upgrade and customize your battle robot, to fulfill your achievements.

GAMEPLAY: 6/10
The game can be very fun, if you push the right buttons. The thing is, that your enemies double their difficulty after every mission, along with the mission itself. Later in the game, it will be very hard no doubt about it and almost like you cannot win. Choose your upgrades and mechanical patterns of your robot properly and perfectly, and the game difficulty may weaken. The controls are pretty good but you have to do so many different functions of your machine almost all at once, and that takes away the smoothness controls should have.

STORY: 3/10
The story and background are completely blank. Same war, same fight, same good guy that enters the field. Well, you may not exactly be a "good guy" but the picture is easy to get. The levels don't tell much of your cause, same the introduction, and all there is is destruction. It would be nice to have some real people in it. What really is bothersome is how overpowered you are in your machine to the environment. One okay thing is that you don't have unlimited ammo for any weaponry you carry, which is somewhat realistic.

GRAPHICS: 8/10
The graphics are very well put together and there is much detail to everything the game withholds, and that's about it.

SOUND: 4/10
The sound isn't all that good. The effects get tiring over shortplay. The bullets all sound the same, and there isn't any uniqueness. Firing weapons makes good sound, and the voices of your allies are very clear, but you must look through the dullness of the lot first.

REPLAYABILITY: 4/10
You don't get much to work with, the game gets repetitive and you probably won't want to play it again.

FREEDOM: 5/10
You get a little freedom, like walking your battle-bot wherever it pleases, but space is limited and your area is on the map. You must go where you are supposed to and your machine can be slow at times. The pinpoint graph location map in the game is unique but terribly confusing, you will easily get lost if you don't pay extra attention.

RECOMMENDATIONS: D
Sadly, this game isn't worth getting, and if you can put up with it you can rent it.

CONCLUSION: 5/10
The games is the average robot fight game that is exactly the same as the others. I know a good robot game for sega thats almost better than this. This is not that good of a game.
