"Best baseball game out there, but still has a few bugs"

Gameplay pros:
Batters eye is a great way to simulate real life baseball. The batter can guess where they think the ball will be during the pitch, and depending on the situation and the player, the batter has a better chance to find the ball so you know whether or not to swing at it. The pitching system is also pretty nice in that you throw the ball to where the ball will break, and you anticipate where it will land in the strike zone depending on how well you make the pitch. The large amount of cut scenes and highlights make the game feel like you are watching it on your TV live.

Gameplay cons:
A very well created game, but it still has a few odd miscues about it. Special plays sometimes require a flick of the analog stick to complete the diving catch or to rob a homerun. This can be disruptive to the flow of your game and difficult to do. There was also a problem where your outfielders will act as if they don't know the situation and casually lob a ball to your cutoff man instead of playing as you would expect them to do when there are still runners on the base paths trying to score runs.

Graphics:
This is by far the best graphics I've seen out of a baseball game. The stadiums look extraordinary realistic and great. The weather seems to affect play as well which is an added bonus to realism. I can't stress it enough, but this game really harps on making it feel like you are watching a game on ESPN or some other TV station. They did an amazing job on making that goal come true.

Features:
Season, Franchise, and GM mode are your three main options to control a team and make it your own. You can pick whether you want to appease the owner of your team by fulfilling his goals in GM mode, or just fix up your own team, play games, and win championships in franchise mode. It is good at catering to whatever you want in the game.

Overall, I think this is a great game for any baseball fan. I was a casual baseball fan at best, but playing this game makes me realize how exciting the sport really is. This game has the graphics a lot of gamers like, but also has very strong game play mechanics that people would love to see.
