Boom Boom Rocket
Review by ultsf
"Enough Boom for your Buck?"
Now, I'm not one to usually like the music based games. I'm not a DDR type, nor will I ever pick up Guitar Hero. Which is why I'm shocked to actually have this game on my 360. But is it worth the 800 MS points?
Game Play: 7/10
There isn't really much to say about the game play in this game. It's your basic "see the object on screen, press the corresponding button". The catch - If you really get into the song, the button presses start to become second nature. The game offers 4 different modes in single player, plus a multi-player for those who want to play with friends.
Graphics: 7/10
This game won't win any awards for graphic content. That said, the main focus of the graphics here are, of course, the fireworks. And while they are mostly average, there are times (mostly during the bonus option) where they can get to be pretty awesome.
Music & Sound: 8/10
The fireworks go boom. That said, now we can talk about the real meat of this game - the soundtrack. It consists of 10 remixed classical songs, the everyone knows (even if you don't want to admit it). And in this case, they fit perfectly with what's going on.
Control: 7/10
The control scheme here is not hard to learn at all. In a matter of minutes, you will have it picked up, and be going from there.
Replay Value: 9/10
Replay for this game is incredibly high. The easy modes may seem easy, but when you go up, you will see that when they say hard, they mean it. It will definitely keep you going. Add to this that there is an option to download more content (depending if it comes out or not), and this game will keep you going for a while.
Overall: 7/10
Like I said, this game isn't that bad, and overall, it is, in my opinion, worth the points. I hope that if you pick this up, you will enjoy it as much as I have.
