"Just another RTS? Not on my watch..."

-For everyone out there, this is my first review, but I tried to cover all the bases.-

Oh, I remember when I got my first Command and Conquer. Back when pirating music was overlooked. Oh the good old days when you could go online in Command and Conquer and find people playing with over 50 different types of mods. I guess we all have to move on sometime though. This is definitely the game you would hope would continue such a great and respected saga such as C&C.

This game starts out by giving you an introduction to tiberium then throws you into the game. Giving you the choice to start on the GDI or NOD campaign. There is a 3rd campaign and race, but you will have to figure that one out for yourself. This game offers you a lot of beautifully done cinematics and some awesome game play, but now, on to the review!

Graphics (10/10):
Now I'm not a graphics hound myself, but this game has some of the best graphics I've seen in a while. The explosions definitely make you create an army of tanks just so you can see stuff explode. Especially after you get to use the ION Beam, you want to constantly use that nice little weapon of mass destruction.

Control (8/10):
Definitely not my favorite controls for an RTS. What I wouldn't do for a mouse, but with the controller they were given, they did do a nice job. I have a few problems sometimes, but nothing too serious. I would say that as far as the system goes, any true RTS deserves to be played with a mouse, but for those of us (including me) who can't run the game on a PC, the Xbox 360 will have to do.

Music / Sound (7/10):
What is there to say? I guess it's like any other RTS in terms of sound. It has it's shining moments (I.E. realistic sounding gun fire, cannons, etc.), yet it also can give you that irritated feeling. I think that if you want to blow up stuff, set your 360 to play some good ol' Rock or Metal in the background while you build an army so huge, even Satan trembles before it.

Story (9/10):
The story is actually very nicely done, and how the NOD and GDI story modes both show 2 different views of the same events is nice. They also went through some hard work having very good cinematics made for just about every mission. This way, you can watch some great graphics while they tell you what the mission is about.

Game play (9/10):
Most of the time you have 2-3 different armies with multiple armies battling it out which always makes me feel a bit happy. Destroying anything in your path and using your "special abilities" on your opponents is just plain fun. You may encounter trouble sometimes, but you it won't ruin the fun.

Overall Score (9/10):
It lived up to the expectations and then some. It even gives you a challenging feeling in single player mode so you don't have to play online just to enjoy it. I would recommend this game for any RTS fan, especially one who already enjoys C&C.
