Dead or Alive Xtreme 2

"A Gamer Girl's Opinion"
Yes, I know. Girls have reviewed this game and all that Jazz. But I was a big fan of the first one also, so I figured since I was using the guides and stuff I might as well give my own opinion.
This game offers a lot that the first one didn't, some good, some bad. Like they've taken the blatant "Fan boy" vibe and tripled it. The opening movie is something I just can't watch. I have boobs, they not be as tanned and pretty, but I don't need to get so close.
While in the game I can't help but drool at the fact that these girls get tan lines and some -very- sexy outfits. The breast bouncing makes me think they may be filled with some sort of light gas, maybe helium. Okay, on to the usual review format.
Story: 0/10
Definitely zero. I am a huge fan of RPG games, so the story is a big glaring error to me. I know that this isn't an RPG, but some sort of new story, besides Zack and Niki's weird invention.
Graphics: 7/10
The physics engine in this game seems to solely be centered around the bust region, which I understand, when I first saw the very first game it was being played by my brother and a few other boys. All they were doing was making her hop at the pool and zooming in on her breasts and crotch. I have always been a fan of how the sand get foot prints in the volleyball games and it has lost me a point or two as I ran around in the back to make little footprints. The scenes are overall relaxing, pleasing and the soft haze they put on some scenes is nice. The new camera option makes me happy and mad at the same time. Its hard to get used to, but if you get a good picture its nice to look back on. I may be a gamer, but I'm a fan of "pretty", then again, a sawed off Shotgun is VERY pretty in a Zombie game.
Gameplay: 7/10
As for the game play, I have this thing were I start a girl, play her for about seven to ten days, then want to play a new one. The patch on December made it a lot harder to give really beautiful bathing suits to the other girls. So I get frustrated even when using the guide on what to give so-and-so and when to give her a bathing suit. The new games are fun once you get the basic hang of them, but still hard. I've always been a huge fan of the volleyball games. I mastered the first game's volleyball and beat my friends at it until they refused to play against me anymore. Which brings me to a thing that makes me sad. You can't play multiplayer anymore.
Controls: 5/10
The controls are ridiculously simple, which is fine I guess if you're playing with one hand or something, not that I've tried. But the shops have this thing that they switch over to the next tab with the slightest deviation from perfectly straight. The water slide boggles me really.
Sound: 4/10
I hate the music that they have in this game quite frankly. Its grating pop makes me even more irritated when something goes wrong in my volleyball games. The first one had this lovely feature that you could import your music and decide which songs it played. I personally had Mindless Self Indulgence, The Doors and Led Zepplin in mine. But this one you have to use the HDD on the 360, which floods the speakers, making it impossible to hear the sound effects. I had to set my voices on Japanese for two reasons, one is I loved the original voice actors for the game(Americans are such bad voice actors), and two, hearing Starfire and Cyborg from the Teen Titans Cartoon every five seconds made me nuts, it was funny at first, but the repetitive chatter of the girls made me nuts. Not to mention Tina's Southern Drawl reminded me of a few people I hate in my Family's hometown in West Virginia. But if you can get past the music and all that...its...alright sound wise.
Reply Value: 6/10
Frankly after getting countless swim suits set back I tend to get a grudge against certain characters in the game although the fact that they no longer THROW AWAY the VENUS is a DEFINITE plus. But if you have little patience for the stupidity of the female gender like I do, despite this only being a game designed for boys, the mean snarky nature of the female will definitely rub you the wrong way.
But if you want the girls to all have those cute, kinky little numbers then this game has a great replay value. Though since I can't play Multiplayer it doesn't mean as much since I can't show them off in a versus battle against my friends.
All in all, I like this game alot, but without versus mode, and since its so hard to give the other girls swim suits, it leaves me feeling unfulfilled unlike the first game. I don't have XBOX Live.
