Aegis Wing

"Aegis Wing.... uh.... cant think of a clever review name."

This game is in the XboxLiveArcade. It's a free download, so you might say "Omg it's free, 10/10 just for that" but no. This game is as basic as it gets. It's like one of those games that comes free with your PC... oh... wait, this game is free so it IS one of those games! Silly me. It's your typical shoot everything you see and dodge the bullets, which there isnt too much of.

Game is like Gradius. a Horizontal Shoot everything you see type of game. 6 levels. You dont really get upgrades or multipliers. You kill things though that can give you item. Homing Missiles, a Laser, a reflecting shield, and something that makes bullets disappear and enemies spin around.

Graphics: Nothing special really. There's like 2 different sceneries, outer space, and in a destroyed town. There's about 5 different monsters throughout the whole game. The boss of each level is the same as every level but with a different upgrade or anything.

Gameplay: You dont die in one hit which is a shame. it's real basic, you shoot with RT and use items with LT. If you're playing multiplayer, you can press X to attach with allies which makes you stronger and slower.

Difficulty: I like my shmups to be hard, this is probably the easiest shmup you'll ever play. I'd give the difficulty 2/10. Seriously that easy.

Scoring System: I like shmups with a good scoring system. This game doesnt really have any. You get points for killing things and getting items. No multiplier, no anything.

Uniqueness: Well the whole attach to your allies thing is new I believe, I havent seen it before. It's online, which is no big deal but I dont know too many online shmups, or 4 player shmups.

So I say 6/10, but I'd still say download it since it's free and can get an easy 200 gamerscore. Only good thing about the game is online multiplayer, and online leaderboards although the scoring system is pretty bad.
