"Manual + Nail the Trick = Win!"

Introduction:
I've been playing Tony Hawk games from the first one in the series, but I do have to admit this was my favorite one because it added a lot of cool features and it's an impressive next gen game.

7/10 Story:

The story is basically the same as the other Tony Hawk games. You play as a normal skater and Tony Hawk comes to town to find eight skaters to be in his crew, Project 8. All you have to do is do goals and pro challenges and you become in Tony Hawk's crew. Overall, not really original, but alright as it is.

10/10 Graphics:

The graphics in THP8 are really good. It's a huge step up from Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. The details are crazy as well as the lighting. Overall, Really realistic graphics.

10/10 Game play:

The game play in Project 8 is the kinda the same as the other Tony Hawk games, only much more realistic. Neversoft added tons of new features to this year's Tony Hawk game. The city feels like a city, no loading times or long hallways like in American Wasteland. The game is more realistic and combos are a little harder to pull off. Every year Neversoft adds a new trick to the Tony Hawk games, this year it's Nail the Trick. Basically it's when you go up a ramp and click both analog sticks and kick the board in different directions. It gets very addicting. They also added rag doll animations which is funny when flying up 200 feet up the air. The goals in THP8 are frustrating. Some goals are pretty easy while others are so hard to the point that I think the developers can't beat it. It will be hard to beginners and veterans. Overall, tons of new additions and cool little things.

10/10 Replay/Difficulty:

Beating the game in Amateur is one thing, but beating it in Sick is almost impossible. Their's tons of goals and they're difficult. as for the difficulty it comes in three different difficulty's. Amateur is quite is easy, Pro is the standard level of difficulty, and Sick is insanely hard. Overall, tons of replay value.

10/10 Online:

Probably the best part of THP8 is Xbox Live. It's fun and has lots of different online modes. One new mode is Walls, which you have a wall that follows you and if a person crashes it, they lose. Everyone seems nice and cool, but there are occasional people who cuss nonstop at you. Overall, one of the best online games for Xbox 360.

Buy or Rent:

Buy: Tony Hawk fan and skateboarding fans.
Rent: Only for the storyline.

Overall:

I definitely recommend this to Tony hawk fans, it's fun, harder than the rest, and it has new features. A really good game.

Thanks for reading.
