"It's like riding a roller coaster"

"This games like riding a rollercoaster"

Ah yes, baseball, America's favorite past time. Played by all ages whether its for recreation or competitively. What? Oh yeah, back to reviewing "MLB 2K7".

At many times, this game makes you feel like your riding a rollercoaster. There are many ups and downs. Why? At times this game makes you dance in triumph while other times it makes you bang your controller against your head.

Graphics 8/10
The graphics, in my opinion, is often times overlooked. People may also judge the graphics from the demo, which of course the real game has improved graphics. The graphics are simply fabulous. The individual players face's are accurately portrayed. The stadiums are well designed and accurate compared to the real life stadium. My only complain about the graphics is that the fans look too generic and some of the plays made LOOK impossible to do in real life. For example, a ball might be hit well to the middle and the fielder is running back. He doesn't look once at the direction the ball is, holds up his arm, and catches it backwards without turing ever. Your reaction "HOW THE HECK DID HE DO THAT!!"

Sound 9/10
The sound and music is great. From the sound of the ball being hit off the bat to the background music. The only thing I didn't like is the reporters. Thank you for stating the obvious. They can be annoying at times, especially when your having a "down" time and their voices get too repetitve. No offence to Joe Morgan and John Miller.

Gameplay and controls 8/10
Here it is, the most important part of any review, the gameplay. there mixed thoughts about this game. The controls are also important, it accompanies the gameplay.

The controls and gameplay are very enjoyable, but they take some practice and reading to full understand. The "Hit Stick" is a great idea and not only is it easy to use but it feels apporpriate to the game. The "Batter's eye" makes the game more realistic, being different from character to character.

Heres some negative things about this game. Although the controls are easy to understand, sometimes it feel awkward, which ends up in your loss. You might slip while batting and swing 5 seconds before the pitcher throws the ball or you might attempt to slide and catch a ball only to fail miserably. Like in real life, homerun balls are hard to come by but when you finally hit one, theres a great chance the computer might steal it. Altough this makes the game interesting, it can be very annoying and frusterating when the computer catches the ball 10 times in a row while in real life, that certain player probably can't make that play in their life time.

Overall 8/10
There might be minor flaws but don't let that prevent you from buying this game. The stats and rosters are updated frequently. Its a nice game to lay back, relax, and play. Online mode is fun, but sometimes can get laggy which really ruins the gameplay. This is only with certain players. The graphics are beautiful, and its a must buy especially if your a baseball fan. Your favorite team in a slump this year? Well, why not manage them yourself and win the world series?
