Yaris

"Hey it's free and fun"

Yaris is a hyper realistic tunnel racing game to get people excited about Toyota's new car. But don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this game. Just don't go in expecting a lot.

Let me say that there are arcade games with better graphics and there are worse. Tracks, cars, coins, and enemies are easy to make out. Nice colors but they seem kinda thrown together really quickly, when they room to add more detail to lighting and such.
Graphics: 6/10



Story: There is no story to speak of, but then again this is a racing game. It didn't need one. You are tasked to drive around a number of tracks, dodging road hazards and collection coins. Coins will be used to upgrade your car and other things. Numerous enemies will attempt to wreck you along the way. They range from the little spider from the commercials to ogres of all colors and helicopters that have faces. This game is made to be funny and not taken seriously. Consider it a poor mans Mario kart meets' wipe out.

controls: the controls are very easy and are easy to master. There is no gas button or brake. The only thing you do is steer and shoot enemies. Really simple right? Sort of. The right stick controls your aim to fire your weapons, the problem is that it also controls the camera. So sometimes you will mess yourself up trying to shoot things. The left stick is used to steer your car and it works well for that purpose. The left and right buttons are used to switch between your weapons. You can only hold three at a time but you may upgrade that along with your shield, car, rime size, and color with the coins you collect off the track.

control: 8/10


Fun: This game, I thought, was a blast to play. It's free and fast. What more could you want. Everyone owes it to their self to at least download it and try it. Hey it won't cost you anything. But besides the price this is a game that has a few issues but none that detract enough from the overall enjoyment of it. With numerous tracks, upgrades, multi player, and cars. You might be surprised at how often you play this. Just watch out for those stupid ogres riding on a trash truck, try the game to see what I mean.
