The Orange Box

"The Orange Box, Greatest Game Ever Released"
If been doing this a long time. I've wasted a lot of money on games that weren't worth the plastic they were printed on and then Valve Software goes and does some like this, It makes you question what other game companies have been doing for last decade or so?! Not because of the amount of content on the disc but the quality there. Half-Life 2 it's self it worth the 60 dollars, Sad a game that was released two and half years ago plays and looks better then most games released this year; But no then you have Episodes one and two. These two could be stand alone games but then throw in Portal and Team Fortress 2. Again these two could be stand alone games but they are all on the same disc, It's crazy when you sit down and look at each game.
Half Life 2: The game has been buffed up and looks better then it did when released back in 2005, It stands it's ground with the rest of the games on the 360--Which is sad. The frame rate it smooth as silk but the load times are a little uneven at times and is the only bad thing that comes to mind. The game play and story still stand as being the best ever made. The characters really set the world of Half-Life 2 a part from every singe game ever made to date...And need I go on about the great Physics engine at use here?!
Half Life 2: Episodes 1 + 2: These games while have an insane amount of action seems more about the story and relashionship between Alyx and Gordon. In the end of these games you'll even start to have feelings for Alyx. She is so cool that you can't help but love her, She is so life like it's crazy--She acts strong but you can see it in her eyes that she would like to just break down but trys to shake it off by joking about whats going on at that given time, You just don't see this kind of character development in video games.
Portal: This is where Valve Software kicks gaming in the face. It makes you rethink every thing you thought you known about game design. With puzzles that will make you say wow and a story so funny and sick that breaks most modern design of any game released to date---Plain and simple you need to play this game.
Team Fortress 2: Sadly this is the game I wanted the most from The Orange Box, and it's the one that is the biggest let down, I'm not even going to spent that most time on it--Either you'll love it or hate it, I waited ten years for this game and it's online just isn't up to the rest of the games on the XBox 360---Halo 3 comes to mind. The game does have a great art style and sound design but the game play great isn't that good...
So if you don't want to read all that, I'll make it short and sweet---YOU NEED THIS GAME, End of story...And if you aren't wowed by The Orange Box, Then I think you need to either get a cat scan or quit gaming...
The easiest 10 out of 10 ever in gaming. Valve has once again showed that they are the biggest and baddest when it comes to the world of games!
