When I first heard about this new installment of the Simpson's line of games I cringed because very few of them have been good. Granted Road Rage and Hit and Run where great games, they are fun to play. However, when it came to a Simpson's platform I was leery because of past games so I decided to rent this game to see if it was any good. To my utter astonishment this game is really fun and it stays true to the Simpson's cartoons. It's not like MGS or COD where the story really traps you in but it is a nice little addition to the video game world. It is fun not serious and it looks great.

Story 8/10

While there is a story to this game, like saving a museum from vandals it can get a little odd at times because the story plots don't always connect together. In about the third chapter you become more aware of what the story is and it progresses rather nicely from there. It's not necessarily a story that will hook you in but it is fun.

Graphics 10/10

One word, amazing! During cut scenes the game appears just like the cartoon and when in play the cell shading is the best I have ever seen. I love how they combined the two and you can notice a difference but not that much. This game features the town of Springfield like you would see in the actual cartoon. I cannot say enough about the graphics they are so wonderfully done.

Sound 8/10

The voice acting is great and it should be because the voices are from the actual talents that bring the characters alive. The background music and other noises that are repeated are annoying though.

Controls 8/10

The controls are simple enough and easy to understand. On the negative side when the game is trying to tell you a new control by the time you notice the text you've missed it. Otherwise the controls are typical of a platform game.

Overall 8/10

I rented this game and did not have time to complete it. I might buy this game or get it as a gift. There are so many things to do in Springfield that it will take the average gamer a while to get everything done. While some people don't care if they get the achievements they can rent this game and probably beat it buy its due date. All in all I would say that if you are a fan of the Simpson's then I would recommend buying this game.
