"Almost The Best On Yet"

Burnout: Paradise is a great game, it's basic Burnout core is still there and has improved to a beautiful looking racing game.

Graphics: 9/10

Many of the crashes look very real, though some of them do look a little like the last crash. The gloss on the car is amazing and the detail in the city is very realistic. Why not a 10? Some of the crashes like I said, look the same. There are no people in Paradise City, only cars. It's kinda unrealistic, but if they did have people, that means you'd be allowed to run them over, so it's fine they left it out to keep it an "E" rated game and still keep the fun of free roam driving with out it being like GTA.

Sound: 10/10

Burnout: Paradise capture the true sounds of the car. It really feels like you're going as fast as you are with the roaring engine screaming in your ear. The wrecks are very thoughts out with their sound. It really grinds your teeth when the metal slaps together. A perfect 10? Indeed.

Controls: 9/10

The controls are simple ONCE you figure them out. The racing feels good and each car has it's own feel. Which gives it a good variety and feels like each car is actually different. Why not a 10? The controls are never taught to you. And the manual barely helps. Those of you who enjoy discovering the controls on your own, this is the game for you. For those of you who need tutorials, you might want to ask somebody whos been playing the game for some time now.

Fun Factor: 9/10

The events are challenging and stressful, much like all the Burnout games are. With the open world races and the new crash modes, old Burnout fans will take the small time to adjust to fit in with the improvements. Why not a 10? Back tracking is a little ridiculous. I do like that everything is real with the "you can't retry last goal, you have to go back a find it," but without a Nav. Point or anything other than pressing start to tell you where that last mission was, it makes retrying that last goal a little complicated.

Overall: 9/10

Although there are many complaints and compliments I decided to leave out, I still will stand by and say that if you love racing games, BUY THIS ONE. If you're not a fan, rent it and see for yourself. Sometimes just trying it is all that it takes to get addicted. Take it from me.
