The Idolmaster
Review by idolmaster
"Can you be the iDOLM@STER?"
iDOLM@STER is the first of it's kind. When this game first hit the arcade, big bucks were rolling in for it's creator Namco. Now that it is on Xbox360, is it worth the buy? Oh yeah! It's a great game! iDOLM@STER was such a hit at Japanese arcades. People queueing up just to play this one of a kind music game. After a short wait, it has come out for xbox360 and is selling like hotcakes! You can even buy the Japanese Xbox360 for all those hardcore iDOLM@STER players to get the real feel right in your own home. How bout that? Cool huh! Let's get down to the review.
Ok, as you know, this is a music game, and what makes a music game is...... the music! How's the music? Put it this way, GREAT! They've got very popular tracks in the game. There are tracks like The iDOLM@STER, Go My Way, First Stage, etc. Cool. All the songs are catchy songs which makes gamers come back for more. Music gets a ten!
Gameplay is next. What do you think. You help a girl become an idol. See some people and you'll be amazed at the dance routines they do. They turn, jump and step. Really really cool. You can watch other people's routine on Xbox LIVE. Gameplay is very good and it gets a ten. There's nothing much to say about the graphics. The background is pretty plain, with only a few colours and patterns. The people you use look ok, but are not very life-like, like cartoons. The only thing good about the graphics is that you get the disco feeling from the lights. That is cool, but the rest is not so. Graphics gets a seven.
Now I will review idol characters. There are 10 and each one is different. One of the girls will change her hair so it's like a new character. Now I will review downloadable content. The game has a lot of stuff to download like new clothes, xbox gamer pictures, and even the opportunity for the girls to send you a text message for status bonus! Wow! You need to buy Japanese Xbox LIVE points but it's worth it and I think you should buy the stuff because it makes the game better.
It's really a very addictive game. I played it non stop for a month! Overall, this game gets a ten. Go get it now! There is also a sequel game called iDOLM@STER Live For You! It's fun and I will also give my recommendation for that game.
