"This game is absolutely awful"

I've played FIFA games in the past. They are lots of fun. There is usually a TON of customization, a ton of teams, and lots of great game modes. Fifa 07 for the 360 is NOT one of those games. In fact, it is possibly the worst video game I've ever played.

Let's start out with the game modes. There are 2. Yes, I said TWO. You can play a quick match, or you can be a manager. You can't be in a tournament, you can't be in your own league, you can't have a shootout, you can't play any mini games. Literally, you play a match, or you play as manager. That's all there is.

Now, let's not forget the fact that THERE ARE NO US LEAGUES in the game. I'm sorry, isn't this game MADE in the USA? There are literally no teams other than the international team. To top it all off, you can't even MAKE you're own team. So for the casual gamer, you can play as a team you've never even heard of, or you can play as the USA national team and get creamed by everyone.

Now for the gameplay. I dunno about you, but I just love having the opponent steal the ball, then snake between 10 of my defenders while they all just stand there staring. It's also quite amusing to cross a ball to the middle from the corner and have the defense in perfect position 100 out of 100 times. I played the game on the easiest setting, you know, the setting where you're supposed to win like 10-0. I averaged about a goal per game and usually lost or tied 0-0. Wow, that sure is a lot of fun.

The passing is decent, the shooting is just god awful unless you're a superstar, and everything else is just plain annoying. Another great thing is that if you decide to MAKE a player, be prepared to never score or really do much of anything. They start out with such abyssmal attributes that it's virtually impossible to do ANYTHING.

Lastly, the graphics in this game are just poor. The entier pitch is just a blurry mess, and although character movement is very fluid, the fact that the whole game looks like it is played through fog is just sad. Let's not even MENTION the horrific grass texturing... It honestly looks like this game was made for original xbox, and one of the earlier games.

All in all, this is just about the worst game I've ever played. I have half a mind to write a letter to EA demanding my money back, but a lot of good that would do. Don't ever think about buying this game, or even renting it really. It has no redeeming features and really is just a complete waste of time.
