"One of the best games ever comes to Xbox Live."
Banjo-Kazooie was one of the best games to come out for the Nintendo 64. What made this game stick out from the crowd was the teamwork used to solve puzzles. Also it is remembered for its glorious music, whether it was a haunted mansion or a sandy desert, the music was masterful.
Gameplay 10/10
The object of the game was to collect notes to open doors to get closer to rescuing Tootie, Banjo's sister from the evil witch Gruntilda. To get notes you had to use jiggies to unlock more worlds. Needless to say you had plenty to do. What I liked that changed in here is that your notes are saved as you leave the level. So now you don't have to get them all over again.
Graphics 8/10
Honestly, I'm not much of a graphics freak. But the graphics only look different if you have an HDTV even then you won't notice much of a difference from the original.
Sound 10/10
Like I said in the introduction, the music in this game was revolutionary. The music in the levels changed when you entered a cave, went underwater, or went inside a hut. Those memorable tracks will stay in your mind for weeks.
Replay Value 9/10
You will spend a good bit of time trying to get 100% but after that there is not much to do. Of course you have the secret eggs and the ice key to get. Now they unlock items in Banjo Nuts & Bolts. But they only unlock fuzzy dice and a flag.
Online -/10
The only online here is leaderboards, and they hardly ever update. I'm sure there will be a better online in Banjo Tooie, though. To get better times, you must start the game over again, which really sucks. They should have put in a time trial mode.
Overall 10/10
Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox is still really enjoyable. You will still spend a lot of time trying to get everything. I recommend you buy this game. You won't regret it.
In Conclusion, Banjo-Kazooie is one of the best games in history. Shame today most people only care about games that are first-person shooters. When was the last time you saw a game that sold well and didn't have blood?(Other than Wii) People automatically assume if a game doesn't have blood, it's a game for kids. Anyhow, this is a great buy for Xbox 360. But not if you have a working Nintendo 64 and this game.
