Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Review by m1k3y4
"Banjo is back!....Where is kazooie?! *SPOILERS*"
Let's start with a prologue,
Banjo-kazooie and Banjo-Tooie were some of the best games that were ever created for N64. Now knowing that let's continue. These games were great with their charm and gameplay. Charm for the hillarious ryhmes and sarcasm that make you want to laugh out loud. The gameplay was great for its funny plot and challenging levels. Also, even though they where old games, the graphics were superb. With this mix of original things, bear and breegul made a big hit with the kids and adults of the gaming world. I am happy to say that our new banjo and kazooie game is 95% of the 100% of the previous N64 games.
Gameplay:8/10
Here is the only problem in our game.
In all of our previous games, Banjo and Kazooie had many powers and abilitys. In this game, it is a part of the story they have lost there powers but even so, they utterly sucked Kazooie out of the game!!! Yes my friends, our mean comedian is gone. But not totally, she is still here to pick up items with a magic wrench and there to keep up with the sarcastic comments. The cool parts though are the facts that you can create vehicles and you still can rescue jinjos! Also Banjo gets to upgrade his speed and other things with the GYM. You may be wondering, If there is no spiral mountain anymore, then were do you hang out and do stuff?! Well first, you get to play spiral mountain later as a level and also you get a new main town called Showdown Town. And please keep in mind, they made Showdown Town a great place to explore. I explored for hours. And I also thought this was GTA4 for little kids because you get to run over NPCs They don't die but it is funny because they call back at you and say funny things.
Graphics:10/10
In all reviews you probably have read, the graphics are always 10 out of 10. Trust them! These graphics are amazing!! Trust me, this game has the best graphics out compared to COD; World at War, Gears 2, Fallout 3 and Fable 2. They have also a little less banjoish graphics but are still cartoony and original. Also when you are in town make sure you look at the signs the stores have. They are hillarious. When you compare these graphics to the other banjo games, the graphics on the N64 games were a crude 3D with some fake backrounds but definatley the best for that year. On this game the difference is night and day.... Literally!(I always wanted to say that =) ) On this game, the sky changes depending on the time you have on your xbox and all the buildings look realistic. In other reviews I have read, I have noticed that water is an important pawn in graphics, knowing that, I WILL INDULGE YOU....... All I have to say is real real real REAL!!!!! And when you jump into water, droplets of water trickle down your view camera =) .
Story:10/10
With a newley refined version of BK you would think OMG they take away their powers, will they kill the fun of the original story!? Thankfully,no, they did not =) . They just refined it a little. In this game you start out in spiral mountain. Our daring duo have gained a couple.... hundred pounds and are constantly playing xbox live. Soon LOG, a new character, brings Banjo, Kazooie and bodyless Grunty to a new game world and as I said earlier, are stripped of their powers. Don't fear you still get to make vehicles. And here is the same old same old thing, you have to defeat gruntilda the witch... again! =)
Conclusion:9/10
People who are already banjo fans from the previous game will have a hard time enjoying the first time but just keep playing and you will enjoy. For those first timers, I bet you will love this warm and maybe not so fuzzy family game for a long time and for a new legacy to be born in the near future.
