"Alone or with friends, this is a truly special, and above all, fun game. Great Job."

This is a review for a game called 'Double D Dodgeball' for the Xbox 360. It was made by a company called 'Yukes' which I believe is a Japanese game company. This game received mostly bad reviews. But it is, in fact, a great game to play.

Story: ?/10

There isn't a story to this game. But honestly, can anyone come up with a story for a dodgeball game? Exactly. No story, therefore no score. Doesn't matter.

Game play: 9/10

The controls in this game are well layed out and cause no discomfort or frustration during actual game play. Simple LS and RS controls, with the bumpers being used as the grab and sprint buttons. Most of the game play is experienced in exhibition matches, which vary from a 1 v 1 game to a huge 6 v 6 match. Simple yet very entertaining.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics in this game are good. Really good. Not Gears of War, not Halo 3, but definately good for it genre and it's popularity. All the lights and flashes makes the game very interesting. They add a rush to the game that isn't really offered in any other games. There are numerous courts and effects that add so much to the game, not just graphically.

Sound/Music: 10/10

The sound is fantastic. The music whilst playing a match will not put you off at all and will actually draw you into the game it's that good. The sound effects, like after you have been hit with the ball, being brought back into the game, ect. are all perfectly timed and executed and most importantly they fit with the game. No sound lag in this game, whatsoever. Just quality tracks.

Multiplayer: 7/10

Unfortunately hardly anyone plays online. I have never played an online match due to the fact that this game is simply not popular enough to get a decent sized multiplayer community. This is no fault of the game, but of the bad reviews that have put everyone off playing this game. Local matches are still a fun option, using 4 controllers and some A.I, so it's not deprived of mutilplayer altogether. Intense 1 v 1 games all the way to huge 6 vs 6 matches really add something to this game.

Overall: 9/10

Despite the bad reviews and the lack of popularity (which again is not the games fault) Yukes have produced a quality game that can (and should) be played by more people. This review is the truth of the game, showing everything and more about the game that other reviews have hidden away probably just because of the lack of people playing over Xbox live.

Go to the Xbox live marketplace and download this great game for your Xbox 360 for only 800 Microsoft Points (A bargin). You won't regret it.
