"Just any other Movie Based Game, just a little better"

After waiting for almost a year and a half for this game I was excited the day I purchased it.

Graphics:

The graphics are excellent however the developers must have forgot how to sync lips to speech. As much as I like the graphics the seem a little cartoony, I would have liked to see some more photo realistic backgrounds and objects in this game. The GhostBusters do look very much like their movie counterparts. The ghosts are goods but very cartoonish.

Game play:

Good. There are some bad camera angles but over all it plays like any over the shoulder shooter, ie "Gears of War." An FPS mode would have been a nice addition. Aside from some of the bad camera angles the controls sometimes feel sluggish.

Sound:

Well now days if you have bad sound the game has to be terrible. The sounds in this game seem to be right out of the movies, and A+ . The background music and the load screen gets repetitive but I'm not complaining.

Content:

This is where my grip is. After more than a year in development I though there would be more to this game. The store moves along too fast, it would be nice if you could explore a lot more. You have the fire house which is loaded with tons of stuff, but there is no interaction. The game is very short, It might take at most 10 hours to finish but can be finished much sooner.

This game reminds me of the "Star Wars Ep. 3" Game. When you start the game all you have is the main story and nothing else.

To me it doesn't seem to be a continuation of the movies as it's supposed to be. The action is intense at times but it seems like it was just thrown together really quickly.

If I had developed this I would have it set up to take calls from clients and do side jobs along with the story. I would have missions set up much like a sandbox style game. Example: Jenine takes a call from a customer. You get into Ecto one, do a paranormal investigation (kind of like Condemned) and you capture the ghost. Instead the developers decide to have the story mode play like any movie based game, a disappointment.

You can collect many items through this game as wells as add information about spooks in Tobin's Spirit Guide. These actions are pointless they don't unlock anything or and any value to the game. I would like to maybe have it set up where after you find an item or a new ghost be able to buy a token like in RE5

Overall:

It's a fun game with some disappointments, this is worth at least a rent. Only True Hardcore Ghost Buster fans should buy this.
