Mirror's Edge
Review by Halodudeguyman
"Fun at first but then, bloop! It goes downhill."
I am going to make this quick and simple. When I first played the demo, I was amazed at the graphics and super smooth gameplay. I went out to buy the game the next day. It was really fun. Here are the ratings and parts of the game.
AI
Rating:7/10
The AI react just like a human would when you hit them in the right spots. You could make them coil up in pain or even shove them off the roof. What I hated was that they could see you from a mile away. You could be standing a building away and they would spot you and kill you. They also have eyes on the back of there heads.
Storyline
Rating: 9/10
I liked how they use the mystery/detective style plot. Your sister was framed for a murder and you have to clear her name. Then, a plot twist. You find out a security company is training agile agents to kill you. What made me give it a 9 was that the cutscenes were too weird for me.
Missions
5/10
I hated the missions. They were plain and simple. Get to the end of the level. That was all. There was very little exploring and it was hard to find your way around. You could spend hours looking for a switch to open a door and never find it.
Gameplay
8/10
The gameplay was very fluid and easy to learn. Sliding under vents and vaulting over fences are fun and when you get to climbing, *dies*. The runner vision doesn't help you in the dark unless you are close to the thing. When you jump from ledge to ledge, there is a 50/50 chance you will not grab it and fall.
Overall
7.2/10
It is the first game of it's genre. It is easy to pick up and play. You can't see in the dark. Enemies are impossible, there is no way to know if you are going the right way or not, and the storyline is cool. I would not recommend buying it unless you are super tolerant. I didn't like it that much so I am returning it. I hope you have a much better experience than me. I have 30 characters left over so I will continue talking. I like the big city and the time trials. Oh I forgot.
Timetrials
Rating: 7/10( this doesn't count towards the overall rating)
Fun but gets boring. It isn't once you buy the map pack.
