"Activision might've been better off re-releasing Spider-Man 2 with better graphics for the Next Gen and killed.."

I was one of the few who liked the first Spidey Title for Xbox because when compared to other games of the last Gen (Halo 2, any EA Sport title) because it took the PlayStation formula, and made it GREAT. Spider-Man 2 I picked up 2 days after the release of the movie and I still have it to this day. The sequel to the well-reputable Spider-Man 2 disappointed me, so I waited to purchase this game as a result of mixed reviews. My buddies stated that it was good if you liked the movie, and the fact that it has Venom, makes it awesome. 3 weeks after the release of the movie I bought this game. The following paragraphs are my conclusion of it.

As a Spider-Man Title: 7/10
It includes a lot of villains that can make for a fun experience but that experience can be marred by the confusion of 3 Super-Villains roaming about on a sunny afternoon. My first time around I had a little bit of a mess trying to keep the story strait. The SECOND time through however, I found it a much more enjoyable experience when I did all of one villain's missions before tackling another baddie.

Graphics: 8/10
Sound : 7/10
It made my 19 year old TV (older than me) look really really good. After I hooked up my new set it looked good, but not as much of an improvement over SM2. The enemies looked dull, and seemed to glitch when strung from numerous streetlights/lamps. Then again; that could have been my childishness. Some of the cut scenes looked good, others, well not so much. The experience was better after I hooked up some Dolby along with my Aquos LCD.

Playability: 7/10
I happen to be someone who will memorize a few special (or really really damaging combos) and put them to good use all through the game, this game let's you do that (and as a result you may survive the next boss fight) look good kicking a**. The swinging is great, then again, how could you screw up his trademark way of traveling? The webbing use SHOULD have been more productive. What happened to the old Web-Domes and Web-Spikes used in the PlayStation titles and Spider-Man 1? Achievements were good. I got 770/1000G on one play through.

Story: 6.5/10
It was bad as a movie tie-in. If Activision prolonged the release of the game rather than rushing it out as a tie-in the-day-of-release it would've done much better. Heck, look at Ghostbusters.
