"Skate 2 Review(hey, it rhymes)"

Skate is back, and it's coming with a new bag of tricks, and a sequel called Skate 2. Skate 2 is the definition of skateboarding. It's just realistic, and is a game were you have to take time and practice on.

Gameplay-9/10 The gameplay is very smooth, and the frame rate has definitely improved. Tricks such as doing hand-plants, finger-flips, and ollie norths has made the gameplay more fun, and interesting. Also, you now have the ability to move objects around, and get off your board. One problem is when you get off your board, instead of moving and turning with one joystick you have to do it with both making it frustrating when running. There are a couple of glitches that I past when I was playing through the game and they were just a bit tedious at times. The city has more spots to skate at than in the first Skate.

Graphics-9/10 The polygons and how the people look look very solid. Rob Dyrdek looks like Rob Dyrdek and so do the rest of the characters that professionally skate. The lighting on there faces is not the best. There face in the light looks different then when you see it in a shadow. If you had a shirtless skater you could see the scratches and scars that you have made when bailing and it adds that realistic touch to it. It really doesn't matter though, you wont pay any mind to it at all that you will have millions of scars and scratches on your back.

Controls-8/10 EA has made up a brilliant idea to pull off tricks with the joystick and it fits in very well. They have mapped out the controls very well and fits the similar motion of what trick your doing. Even though, Skate 2 has a lot of tricks it still doesn't have as many tricks as tony hawk does. They still need work on trying to get more tricks in for future projects. This is one of the things that fall short for it to become a perfect game

Overall-9/10 Skate 2 has definitely improved that its a great sequel to Skate. This is the best realistic skateboarding game on the market and if your looking for a great game to buy, buy this. It is a great edition to your gaming library. It is very fun going around the city moving objects and going online and skating with your friends. Even though, it might take a little time and coordination on getting the tricks down. You'll be jumping around like your football team just won the Superbowl after you've landed the best trick you've ever did.
