Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie

"A great movie game!"

King Kong is a giant ape that may look like a menace, but he is really a gentle giant at heart. King Kong is huge and is able to fight big dinosaurs like the t-rex. Basically, a film producer must go to the Skull Island in order to make a hit film. He has had financial problems, so this big film will help him out. Anyways you go to this island and before you know it, you notice all these creatures that are suppose to be extinct. So then you travel the island in search of good film material, but all of a sudden, the beautiful Ann gets captured. So you battle time and creatures to save her.

Gameplay

Unlike movie games of the past this one is actually good. Basically you will either be playing from a fps perspective and as Kong. You can use weapons from guns to spears. The aiming is really easy to get into and really fun. The King Kong part is also really fun because of the moves you can perform. Since Kong is so big, it is really fun having him smash everything in his path. Then he can also perform cool moves like breaking the jaw of a t-rex or breaking its back with a backbreaker. Even though the game is really short, it is still a lot of fun.

Graphics

The graphics look superb. The character models look great. The animation is good also, especially when King Kong performs his backbreaker move. The environment looks and feels dark and the graphics was able to show it like that. The best part is how smooth everything is. There are no frame rate problems and everything looks good along with the perfect frame rate.

Sound

The voice acting is very good. I believe that some of the stars of the movie lent a hand in the voice. It certainly sounds great and very emotionally charged. The music is also creepy and kind of brings the nature feeling out.

Overall

This isn't like other movie games because this one is great. It isn't perfect, but it is definitely worth playing. There are plenty of things to do and it is always fun whether it is playing as King Kong or Jack. Since it is one of only a handful of movie games that are great, you should check it out because you may never get another great movie game.
