Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved

"AGH! I'M BEING ATTACKED BY....Shapes?!"

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is one of the best Xbox 360 Arcade Games to date. In fact many believe it to be one of the best 360 Xbox games period. It's an extremely addictive arcade-like game that is appropriate for everyone and is fun for everyone as well!

Sound (8 out of 10)
The sound is pretty good, slightly above average but not spectacular. A catchy beat sets a level of adrenaline while you play the game, which only makes it funner. The “gun” you shoot also makes a neat little sound, as does the sound of your enemies being destroyed.

Visual (10 out of 10)
WOW! INCREDIBLE! AMAZING! SPECTACULAR! All of these things have been said about what you see in Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. It's an absolutely incredible and unique experience that will make you want to buy the game as soon as possible. The reason the game is called “Geometry Wars” is because your fighting (I swear I am not making this up) shapes. You fight circles, and squares, and triangles, and whole lot more. It's out of control! The background is very cool also, when you fire a bullet the background in its path “breaks”, as if it was in some kind of freaky water. Without a doubt the coolest part of the game.

Game Play (10 out of 10)
This is one of the simplest games in the Xbox 360 Live Arcade. Use one joystick to move, and the other joystick to fire your weapon. And if that's not enough, you're given three “bombs” that, when you press the button, will completely wipe out all enemies on the map. And if that's not enough for you, or your mom, then it's time to get some Gamerpoints. When you unlock special achievements (get 100,000 points, get 100,000 points without dying etc.) you get Gamerpoints. These tell other people that have Xbox Live, how good you are at this game, (they are going to think you are very good if you were to get 1,000,000 points without dying for example).

Fun Factor (10 out of 10)
This is the most addictive game I have played since Tetris. Looking for a game that keeps you up until midnight? Looking for a game that practically blinds you the second you look at it? Looking for a game that can be bought for $4.99? Then Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is the game for you!
