    The purpose of this in-depth FAQ is to discuss Linnear's skills and some
    tips on attacking with Linnear. I've added the tips because Linnear
    can be weak defense-wise and attack-wise and is usually placed in the back,
    making her attacks weaker (even if she has a strong weapon!).

    INTRODUCTION TO LINNEAR
    
          -Linnear is that one character that you will say sucks off the bat. More
           than likely you'll stick her in the back from the get-go and let her heal
           and restore FP. However, if played correctly, Linnear is capable of 
           speeding up your battles. Read on!
    
    LINNEAR'S SKILLS
    
    +NOTE: Actual healing/damage/effect time depend on her level. The higher she 
           goes, the more each spell can do. I've tried to list rough estimates
           of what I've seen her techniques to from the lowest level to the
           highest I've gotten her (level 87)
    
    =======////////////// Strength Recovery Type
    
       A Little
       First Aid:   Restores about 200-300 HP in combat to one line of friends
    
       First Aid:   Restores about 600-1000 HP in combat to one line of friends
    
       Serious
       First Aid:   Restores about 800 - 4000 HP in combat to all friends
    
       Welcome 
       Home! :      Revives a fallen friend in battle with 25% of their total HP
                    in combat.
    
       Major 
       First Aid:   Restore 100% HP to one friend in combat
    
       Welcome
       Home Dear!:  Revives and restores 100% HP to the fallen friend in combat.
    
       Intensive
       Care:        Restores 100% HP to all friends in combat.
    
    =======////////////// Spell Type
    
       Protection
       Spell:       Increases Defense; can vary from 15% to 50% (or more!) depending
                    on Linnear's level to one line of friends.
    
       Strength
       Spell:       Same as above but for Attack strength.
    
       Quickness
       Spell:       Same as above but for Agility.
    
       Dexterity
       Spell:       Increases the effect of whatever item Linnear uses. Usually will
                    double any item's effect. Linnear Only (duh!)
    
       Cure Spell:  Restores status to one line of friends.
    
       Anger Spell: Sends a friend into beserk mode.
    
       Super Spell: HIGHLY increases attack, defense, and agility to one line of friends.
    
       Love Spell:  Restores status to all friends.
    
    =======////////////// Status Recovery Type
    
       Wake-up 
       Touch:       Cures sleep or blindness for one friend.
    
       Poison
       Release
       Touch:       Cures poison or paralysis. one friend
    
       Everyone
       Refreshed:   Cures blindess, poison, or paralysis. all friends.
    
       Hello
       Touch:       Cures sleep, confusion, brainwashing, or beserk state to one friend.
    
       Block
       Release
       Touch:       Cures curses or blocking to one friend.
    
       Everyone
       Wide Awake:  Cures confusion, brainwashing, berserk, cursed, or blocked to all
                    friends.
    
       Restorative
       Touch:       Cures all status abnormalities. one friend. This one is only useful
                    when your friend has about 3 or 4 different status changes that would
                    add up to more FP if you had to use each spell seperately OR if you
                    are extremely needing the person to be at full status.
    
    =======////////////// Present Type
    
       Give Heath:  Gives away half of whatever HP you have left to another character. 
                    On the actualy 'usage and helpfulness' meter, I'd give this one a 
                    ZERO!!! Linnear's weak in the HP department and is the only one who
                    can heal others for 98% of the game - letting her cut her HP in half
                    is downright DUMB (strategically speaking, of course ;) ) especially
                    during a boss battle.
    
       Pain Box:    AH! The first one of Linnear's actual attacks! The pain box has some
                    decent animation with it and actually works very nicely against 
                    most single enemies (some are a bit strong against it so watch out!)
                    Use this one when the frying pan won't cut it.
    
       Give Power:  Gives away half of whatever FP you have left to another character.
                    It can actually be useful if you have some method to restore Linnear's
                    FP during a boss fight. It's mostly useless in normal combat unless it's
                    to power Mag's "Give me FP!" technique with the Steal Part (see Mag's 
                    in-depth FAQ)
    
       Exploding
       Box:         Same as pain box but blows up a rank of enemies - nice animation also =o)
    
       Give Me
       Power:       Snags half of some other character's FP. Useful in the right areas and
                    situations, especially if you have a character who's pure muscle and
                    does not need to rely on their specials.
    
       Surprise
       Box:         Suprises and enemy and freezes'em in place (paralysis). Another '0' on the
                    usefulness scale. (It's also a 0 on the Shermometer!)
    
       Mega Boom
       Box:         Woohooo! a nice, big boom of a box for Linnear to use! Perfect against
                    pesky groups of enemies (it hits'em all) and for helping to knock down a
                    boss. However, the FP it needs to work (80!) will more often drive you to
                    tuck it away in place of her healing techniques.
    
    =======////////////// Music Type
    
       Enticing 
       Tone:        Moves an enemy one line forward.
    
       Blocking
       Tone:        Used to block all enemie's skill.
    
       Fearful
       Tone:        Makes your enemy run away...but in a game like Evolution, that's NOT what
                    you want!         
    
       Phony
       Tone:        Reduces enemy hits - all enemies ;)
    
       Flat Tone:   Reduces all stats (parameter) for all enemies. excellent for those pesky
                    bosses ;)
    
       Dull Tone:   Increases the enemy's wait time. Perfect for those bosses that just seem
                    to hit you three times before you even get a chance to breathe.
    
       Combative
       Tone:        Wait time? What wait time? This little song will move EVERYONE in your
                    party over whatever enemy (or boss!) is in front of them.

    ATTACKING WITH LINNEAR
     
          -Attacking with Linnear takes a LOT of thought. Her attacks are best geared
           for either dropping an enemy's hit points so a stronger one can kill them 
           or for finishing off what little HP an enemy has. These are great uses but
           Linnear's best strategy is to use her to whittle down the HP of enemies
           inbetween her and the friend.
    
           For example, let's use this wait time sequence: 
               (X= Enemy, M= Mag, L = Linner, C= Chain)

            Also, for the purpose of this FAQ to illustrate this, let's assume that one
            hit from Mag can kill any enemy. Let's have him hit the enemy behind him.
            Now the wait time looks like this:

           Assuming that the first enemy hits Chain, the line looks like this:

                X <---this enemy hit Chain
    
           Now, assume that Chain is not strong enough to kill either of the two
           remaining enemies. So what you CAN do to speed Mag up to kill the last
           enemy is to have Linnear first hit the first enemy.

           Your line now looks like this:

            Now chain should be able to kill the creature that's behind her,
            making the line look like this:

            Mag is now able to kill the enemy behind him without having anyone
            damaged by it again. In this example sequence, only Chain took a hit.
            If your characters are fast enough using this type of strategy, you can
            finish off enemies without taking more than 2 hits! 
    
            Think about how this strategy works and soon you'll have strategies
            for a large majority of combinations. Keep at it and you'll be EXTREMELY
            hard to kill! (I've gone through 36 battles that I took minimal damage
            without having to heal!)
