""Oh no! There goes Tokyo! Go, go, Godzilla!""

Introduction: *What to Expect*
''Godzilla Generations'' is a Dreamcast game. It was released only in Japan (What a shame). During the course of the game, you select a monster, and then control that monster, making it destroy buildings in a time limit. This game is 11 stages long. After beating the game with one character, you unlock another character. The controls are fairly simple, and don't take too long to figure out. The levels are very detailed, but tend to get repetitive.

Graphics: 10

Only one word can describe the character models for ''Godzilla Generations'': amazing. These models are very detailed, and respond to their environment as they should. Unlike ''Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters: Melee'' for the Gamecube, the characters tails respond just like you would think they would. If you make Godzilla turn around, his tail will drag along the ground. If there is a hill, or a sloped piece of land in front of his tail, Godzilla's tail will rise up the slope, and then fall once it reaches the other side. The way the characters look really makes you feel as if you are Godzilla, or whatever monster you are playing as.

Gameplay: 10

''Godzilla Generations'' is a very fun and easy game to play. The controls aren't hard to master, yet allow you to do everything you would want to. Each monster has a laser beam and a tail attack. Each monster also has a ''super attack'' which is a very powerful attack that when used correctly can make your city demolishing task a lot easier. Also, the monsters react to their environment as they should. If you get hit by a missile, your monster stops, and roars. If you turn around, your tail won't turn all at once, it will turn with the base moving first, and then the tip last, like it should. Monsters walk slower in water. All in all, the game makes you feel as if you are the monster you are playing as.

Difficulty: 3

This game is not difficult. Don't buy this game if you want a hard game. If you do, you will be disappointed. However, this doesn't mean you can just stand still and expect to win. As you progress, the levels get harder, with more buildings outside the boundaries, or more trees. To win, you have to destroy around 70% of all the buildings. This can get a little annoying at times, but not difficult.

Longevity: 9

The longevity of this game depends on what you consider ''beating'' it. If you just want to win the normal game with all the characters, then that won't take to long. If you want to get the best Time Attack scores, that will take a little longer. If you want to have fun, this game will allow you to do that a lot. There's something very appealing about destroying cities as a giant, indestructible monster. If you have a ''Godzilla VMU'' you also get a ''Mini-Monster Arena.'' This can also become fun and interesting.

Sound: 10

The sound really works with everything else. Just hearing the Godzilla Theme as you get out of the water at the first level really makes a Godzilla Fan stop and think, ''Whoa.''
The music comes straight from the Godzilla movies, as do the monster roars. The Japanese Army sounds just like it should, so you can tell if you're being hit by a missile or a maser cannon. This is also helpful, because you can hear a tank's treads, and know when to get out of it's way.

Fun Factor: 10

To a Godzilla Fan, this game will send you to heaven. For a person who has never seen a Godzilla movie in their life (Where have you been?!?!?) this game might not be as fun (Go out and see a Godzilla movie already!!!). As mentioned earlier, there is something appealing about destroying a city as Godzilla. The game isn't goal based, so you won't have to hear ''Go destroy Tokyo Tower!'' or ''Go destroy that house!'' In reality, you can destroy anything you want to in this game. All in all, this game is a fun, attention keeping stress reliever that is always great for a rainy day.

Overall: 10

If you are interested in purchasing this game, I would recommend getting this game from Ebay. After researching different places to get this game, Ebay was the cheapest place to get it, and you can almost always find a cheap one there. Any person who is staying away from this game is making a big mistake. This game is very good, and it's a shame less people have the ability to play it. Unfortunately, it was only released in Japan, so if you buy one Anywhere but in your local Video Game store, you're importing. If you need a good game to add variety to your Dreamcast collection, or you just want to take out some of you're stress on a hapless city, ''Godzilla Generations'' is the way to go!

***If you don't have this game, but you want to play it, you're going to need a few things. You need a Dreamcast, a controller, a VMU, and a boot disk. I would recommend Gameshark Light.***
