"Lacking in Gameplay, but contrary to popular opinion, has some redeeming qualities."

Well, ever since this game came out I have seen nothing but reviews that more or less say, "Cute, but it sucks." Granted this game is not the best in the world, but I am positive a lot of people are passing this game over because "Cute" is the only way to describe it, and people are looking for "Cool", "Evil", or "Violent". Also, I will admit the fact that the game can get REALLY repititive. But, as stated in the above "One-Line Synopsis", it has redeeming attributes. #1. Its hilarious! The intro, and most of the cut scenes are really screwed up and fun to watch! #2. The only thing it's battle engine really suffers from is the speed the characters walk, which is so slow it can make larger stages take forever to beat, but other than that its pure Action RPG fun! #3. Huge array of weapons. Im willing to beat most of those that bash this game offhand have not even used half the weapon types in the game! #4. Use your troops well, and it adds a huge degree of strategy to the game! The lil guys are more than just fodder!

Well, now that Ive covered its good points I will quickly run down its bad side... #1. As mentioned above, EXTREMELY repititive, battles are the same thing over and over and over and over again! #2. Items that apparently do nothing... I cant read all that much Japanese, but even if I spoke it fluently I couldnt figure out what some of the things do(though the book does have an item list I believe, but as its all in Kanji Im screwed...)! #3. Not really something bad about the game in my opinion, but a lot of people feel its too "cute" and in the words of a friend "Gay."(which directly afterwards he went and watched an N'Sync concert on TV so his word on that doesnt count... or maybe it does... but I digress...).

Anyways, to get to the point. The game is great in my opinion. Not the best game ever, and not as good as Evolution, but fun and worth buying if you have the cash and are looking for something to take up a portion of your leisure time!
