Street Fighter III: Double Impact
Review by XtremeGundamX
"Street Fighters back and better than ever!!! Almost"
This game is the bomb. The game is very neat and the graphics are aweosme. Everything in this game resebles that of the first Street Fighter games. This is the perfect game for an aweosme series of games. The music, sounds, graphics, control in this game are what they should be perfect. Theres just one place in this game that is lacking and what could that be it would be the replayability. This game has hardly any. Sure it may be fun with friends for quite some time but it you play it alone this game will get boring very fast. The game is very detailed all of the levels, players, and opponents are graphically at there best. The players kind of look 3D and it’s awesome. This game is fast paced and very exciting to play. If you want one of the best 2D fighters on the Dreamcast I suggest this game it’s got everything it needs to be a good fighter.
GAMEPLAY **9**
Everything in the gameplay department flows very easy except doing the combos. The combos can be very hard to pull off for certain characters in the game. All of the other controls are very simple you got your punch button kick button and all the others. The gameplay of this game flows very easily and is fast and responsive. If it weren’t for the harder combos this game would have some great gameplay, some of the best.
SOUND / MUSIC **10**
This has got to be one of the things the Street Fighter series is known for. Awesome music during the matchs and very detailed sounds when fighting. Everything is there the impact of a punch or the sound of a person yelling. The voices in this game are very detailed and are amazing to hear. Nothing in this game was left out from the get up and go music to the blows making contact with your enemy. Capcom has always done a good job picking out the music for their games and this title follows it completely.
GRAPHICS / LEVEL DESIGN **10**
The graphics in this game are very smooth flowing and look awesome on the Dreamcast. All of the characters from Street Fighter are all very detailed and have there own details that make them stand out. The game never ever hesitates and that is very important in this game because every second counts. The levels are very detailed and are nice looking and are very detailed. There are people in the background moving and other stuff. The backgrounds are filled with lots of detailing and they all are aweosme levels to play on.
REPLAYABILITY **6**
The weak point of this game is the replayability. The game is great for friends and family fun. But playing this game alone shouldn’t take long to get bord. The game could have possibly added maybe a Multiple battle fight with like 8 people on a level and they all are batteling it out for supreme ruling or something. This game could use almost anything to make the game last longer or make it funner.
CHALLENGE **9**
This game has some very tough people to beat and it can get very difficult to win matches. The game characters can get moving so fast you can hardly see anything and well it gets difficult to get some punches and kicks in. In this game it takes a lot of strategy to win some people may be better in air than on ground or some may be better on ground than on air so they use that advantage. If your gonna win in this game you got to learn your characters tough point and your enemys weak point to use it against him.
BUY OR RENT
This is one of the best 2D fighters on the Dreamcast I’ve ever played. This game may be low in some places but others make up for it. This is one of Capcoms best fighters but to make it king of 2D’s it needs some more modes to play in.
