Review by Drachma

"A very interesting game with a high replay value."

When I played this game for the first time I looked at it and I thought “Geez this game is one of the crappiest things I ever saw”, I played it for five minutes. One day after I thought “Why is everyone telling this game is wonderful?” “Maybe it isn’t that bad…”. I decided to play the game again… And guess what? I love it! The texts are all in Japanese but actually there are translation guides =), the battles are wonderful and the “dating simulation” is actually very interesting ^_^ Now, lets get into the review.

Gameplay:

Well believe or not, there is a lot to say here. At first this game looks like very simple: you control the guy with an arrow (simple hu?) and that’s it. But there are tons of minigames, LIPS (yeah that things where u can choose your answer) and five different endings (cool uh?)! Now lets move into the battles: This game battles are awesome! The battle system is very simple: You have four robots (u will won new allies when u get further in the game), each robot has a certain amount of “action points” (some robots have more action points than others), you can use that action points to walk with your robot, make a normal attack (can be up to five combos), make a special attack (you must charge it first), heal yourself or just defend yourself. The minigames are interesting and there are a big variety of them. There’s nothing more to say about the gameplay I think…

Storyline:

Well, this game storyline it’s not like that RPGs that have a lot of drama and complicated stories. This game’s story is pretty simple: You are Oogami Ichiro who came from Japan to join the Paris Floral Assault Squad. Once in Paris u will become the leader of some lovely girls that actually are the Members of Paris Floral Assault Squad, your main task is to devolve the peace to Paris while u hang out with the girls (date sim) (Its simple isn’t it? And it’s FUN!).

Sound/Music:

This game music it’s… good, just good. The intro music is great, but the game music isn’t that good (it all depend on the tastes, I’m giving my opinion). But don’t worry you will get used to it =). The sound effects are great too, specially in the battles. The katana slash, the machinegun shots, the special move sound effects, it’s all great. Also the characters voices are good (what did you expected?).

Graphics:

Many people think the graphics are the most important part in the game. For those people I say: WAKE UP! The games aren’t all about graphics. If a game have a very good gameplay and crappy graphics its still fun to play it. Enough talking. The manga/anime style is very well incorporated in the game. If you are not a big fan of this style of graphics, your problem (u cant change them right?)! The graphics in the battle’s could be better. But the special moves effects are great =). The manga style movie scene’s are very good, if you’re a fan of manga films you will enjoy them.

Replay ability:

Humm… Let’s see… Five different ending, tons of minigames, a lot of options too choose… You will get through this game more than one time. Trust me!

Buy or rent:

Buy of course. BTW you can’t rent it, because this game only came out in Japan.

Gameplay: 8/10
Storyline: 8/10
Sound: 9/10
Graphics: 9/10
Replayability: 10/10
Overall score: 8/10
