Small Court
If you visit the Small Court in Nimbasa City, you can head out onto the court and take on a few trainers each day. The types of trainers depend on which day of the week it is when you visit. You will be able to battle different, more powerful trainers the higher your badge count is. The only time that you can't battle the trainers is during event hours, which is when the actual sports matches are being played. Any other time is fair game though, even 3am! Feel free to come here from day to day to train!
The Small Court's counterpart is the Big Stadium which functions in a similar way.
A full list of every trainer found at the Small Court is listed below. Skip to the section that matches your badge count, then skip to the trainer that you're battling as you encounter them.

Pokemon World Tournament
The Pokemon World Tournament, one of the most popular features of BW2! I'm sure that's why many of you have skipped straight to this section, no? ;) Anyway, in the Pokemon World Tournament, you're given the chance to participate in exactly that, tournaments! There are a wide variety, with four being available after defeating the Driftveil Tournament for the first time, a requirement to advance the plot. After that, a further three can be unlocked. Until you defeat the Pokemon League no more can be unlocked.
Once you have defeated the Pokemon League however, the Unova Leaders Tournament is opened up, where you can battle the Gym Leaders of the Unova region both past and present! Once you win that, four more Tournaments, featuring the Gym Leaders from the other regions will be opened. Once all four of those Tournaments have been won, the World Leaders Tournament will open, which is basically a Tournament with a combined trainer pool from the region-specific Leader Tournaments, meaning you can battle all of the Gym Leaders from any Pokemon game! Awesome! Lastly, once the World Leaders Tournament has been won a total of ten times, the final Champion League is unlocked, where you can battle the Champions, both past and present of all regions! Cool!
The Tournaments employ the common knockout style where if you lose once, you're knocked out. Each Tournament has at least some rules, generally a set level for all Pokemon participaing (so all those above or below that level will be set to it) as well as sometimes having other rules. Even so, you get a lot of freedom! It's all pretty easy to grasp, so I doubt you'll have much trouble.
For all but the Download Tournament, you can play a Single Battle, Double Battle, Triple Battle or Rotation Battle Tournament, seriously increasing replayability and fun! After selecting the Tournament you wish to participate in, you will be shown a menu allowing you to choose the battle type you wish to play the Tournament in. The menu options are listed in the order listed above, so it shouldn't be hard to work out! The number of Pokemon each trainer uses changes depending on what battle style is chosen. See the small chart below as to how to how many Pokemon all trainers in a Tournament of that battle style can use, including you. Note that you can't use less than this amount, you must use the amount set.
| Battle Type | Number of Pokemon Each Trainer Must Use |
| Single Battle | 3 |
| Double Battle | 4 |
| Triple Battle | 6 |
| Rotation Battle | 4 |
To actually participate in a Tournament, talk to the woman in green inside the Pokemon World Tournament building, north of the entrance to take part in any of the Tournaments that can be unlocked before defeating the Pokemon League. The woman in green will be standing to the left of the woman in red who you should speak with if you want to participate in any of the Tournaments that can be played after defeating the Pokemon League.
Although many Tournaments may feature trainers that aren't listed in the trainer lists below (which list all possible trainers that you could be up against), they will always be beaten by someone that is in the trainer list, so you never actually battle them. Yea, the Tournaments are a little rigged, but I'm not complaining! Now read on for information for each Tournament!
Driftveil Tournament
[First Time Entering The Tournament]
When you first receive access to the Pokemon World Tournament, the Driftveil Tournament is the only one open to you. You must progress through the game before you can unlock more. To enter the Driftveil Tournament, move north to the two women standing between the two staircases. Talk to the woman in green.
You'll be presented with three options. The first is to let you enter into the tournament. The second is for further information about the World Tournament and how it works and the third is to exit the dialogue. If you choose the first option you'd normally be given a number of choices about battle types (Single Battle, Double Battle, Triple Battle and Rotation Battle), but since you've only just unlocked the World Tournament, you can only select Single Battle or 'Exit'.
If you want to use different Pokemon, the PC next to the woman in red will allow you to grab any Pokemon from your PC Boxes. Just as a heads-up, the PC next to the woman in green will present you with starts about your previous performances in tournaments, your current BP (Battle Points, which can be exchanged for items) and will allow you to save your game. Once Single Battle's chosen, select the three Pokemon you wish to use, confirm and the tournament will begin!
A few notes beforehand. The first time you challenge the Driftveil Tournament will differ to the subsequent times. This is the only time a Single Battle tournament will have trainers which have three Pokemon, including you. Normally they would only have two each. Secondly, Pokemon participating in the Driftveil Tournament will automatically have their level set to 25 beforehand. This is true for all of the other trainers in this tournament, except for you. Yours won't change, whether they're above or below level 25, so keep this in mind. Finally, experience or money are never earned from any of these matches, Pokemon aren't allowed to switch when they defeat an enemy Pokemon, you may not use items except for held items and your Pokemon are all healed in between matches. If you lose during any battle, you don't lose any money but must restart the tournament from the beginning, but you will still earn a prize of some description.
Once you confirm and the tournament begins, you will first be shown the bracket. Check out who your first match is against... your rival! Also check out some of the other trainers entered in the tournament (Is that Cheren?... and Colress?). Before you realise, you'll be called up to fight your first battle!
Tournament Single Battle/Rival Battle!

| Pokemon | Level | Type |

Once your rival's defeated, the semi-finals will ensue. You will see Cheren, another trainer and Colress win their respective matches. You'll be up against Cheren next!
Tournament Single Battle: Pokemon Trainer Cheren
| Pokemon | Level | Type |
| Stoutland | 25 | Normal |
| Cinccino | 25 | Normal |
| Watchog | 25 | Normal |
Once Cheren's knocked out of the tournament, the other semi-final will be played out and Colress will win. It's time to fight him in the final!
Tournament Single Battle Final: Pokemon Trainer Colress
| Pokemon | Level | Type |
| Magneton | 25 | Electric/Steel |
| Elgyem | 25 | Psychic |
| Klink | 25 | Steel |
Once Colress is defeated, the arena will go nuts celebrating your victory. You will then exit the area and head back into the lobby. You'll be congratulated by the woman in green and receive 1BP, which you can exchange for items! Check out the Right BP Exchange Service Corner and Left BP Exchange Service Corner to see what's on offer. You will then enter a conversation with Hugh, Cheren and Clay. Roxie will also suddenly appear and suddenly disappear after she's said a few brief words. Clay will then leave and you'll be free to do what you want. Unfortunately you can't enter the Driftveil Tournament again just yet. There's nothing left to do but leave!
When you leave, Hugh and Cheren will follow you out and talk. Suddenly, a New Team Plasma Grunt will bolt in from the west and sprint south into the docks. It will catch everyone's attention. Colress will then exit the PWT lobby and reveal himself as a member of New Team Plasma. Hugh will bolt after the Grunt, followed calmly by Cheren. Colress will then say a few words to you and you'll be able to chase after the Grunt too. Head south into the docks. You'll see a boat which you'll be able to board. Do so. It's the Plasma Frigate - PWT. Skip to that section to continue on with the main plot.
[Subsequent Times Entering The Tournament]
After defeating the Driftveil Tournament for the first time, you'll be given access to the Driftveil Tournament once more, which now works in a different way. You'll also be given access to three new tournaments, the Rental Tournament, Mix Tournament and Download Tournament! Each Tournament works differently. See a tournament's corresponding section if you wish to see how they work.
The new Driftveil Tournament now sets all Pokemon that enter to Level 25. This doesn't matter whether they're above or below this level. This means that you can't rely on straight-out power, but instead actually have to win with intelligence. Yay for intelligence! Other that, you can choose to participate in a Single Battle, Double Battle, Triple Battle or Rotation Battle style for the Tournament.
The possible trainers you can battle can be found below. Note that if you're playing a Single Battle Type, three of the first four Pokemon listed in their party will be used (the three are chosen at random). If you're playing a Double or Rotation Battle Type, their first four will be used and if you're playing a Triple Battle Type, all of their Pokemon will be used!

Rental Tournament
After defeating the Driftveil Tournament for the first time, you'll be given access to the Rental Tournament. In this Tournament, you're given a choice between an Attack, Defense or Balanced party. After you've chosen one, you will be given a random mix of rental Pokemon that will match the style you chose. The Pokemon of opponent trainers will also be a random rental Pokemon. There is a limited pool of rental Pokemon that you and other trainer's parties are chosen from, so it's not completely random.
All Pokemon in the Rental Tournament are set to Level 50. Other that, the only other interesting thing to note is that you can choose to participate in a Single Battle, Double Battle, Triple Battle or Rotation Battle style. Obviously because you're given a random party each time, no Tournaments are at all alike, so it's rather replayable.
Because there are 208 Pokemon in the rental pool (well technically 104 each with a variation), it'd be too lengthy to list each one. It's all random anyway, so such a list wouldn't be all that helpful.
Mix Tournament
After defeating the Driftveil Tournament for the first time, you'll be given access to the Mix Tournament. In this Tournament, you're able to take in any Pokemon you wish to. The 'twist' in this Tournament is that just before the battle begins, you will see what Pokemon are in each others parties, as well as their order. The biggest twist is that you will be able to choose one Pokemon from your opponent's party to use in your own, just for that battle, and your opponent will be able to do the same for a Pokemon of his choice from your own. The battle will then commence as normal and each trainer's Pokemon will be given back to him at the end of the battle.
The Mix Tournament sets all Pokemon that enter to Level 50. This doesn't matter whether they're above or below this level. Other that, the only other thing to note is that you can choose to participate in a Single Battle, Double Battle, Triple Battle or Rotation Battle style for the Tournament.
The possible trainers you can battle can be found below. These are the same trainers from the Driftveil Tournament, with the same Pokemon that have the same moves. The only difference here is that they are now at Level 50 instead of Level 25. Note that if you're playing a Single Battle Type, three of the first four Pokemon listed in their party will be used (the three are chosen at random). If you're playing a Double or Rotation Battle Type, their first four will be used and if you're playing a Triple Battle Type, all of their Pokemon will be used!

Download Tournament
The Download Tournament is a special type of Tournament, and technically isn't a Tournament at all. Instead, it's a sub-menu where you can select from range of Downloaded Tournaments. Each one has special rules and a special theme, which vary depending the Tournament. These can be Downloaded via Wi-Fi. To do so, use the green-screened PC next to the woman in green when your DS or 3DS is connected to the net with Wi-Fi. You will have a number of Tournaments that you will then be able to download. Feel free to do so and try them out. Some are rather cool!
Rental Masters Tournament
Once the Rental Tournament and Mix Tournament have been won, this, among other Tournaments, is unlocked. This Tournament is basically the hard version of the Rental Tournament. It works exactly like its easier counterpart, but has a much larger pool of rental Pokemon. Instead of the 208 Pokemon that the regular Rental Tournament has, this has easily over 1000, including variations of each Pokemon. It's great for replayability and means that you really shouldn't have a repeat Tournament ever! Enjoy.
If you wish to know the basics of a Rental-style Tournament, see the Rental Tournament.
Banned Pokemon
| Arceus | Celebi | Darkrai | Deoxys | Dialga |
| Genesect | Giratina | Groudon | Ho-Oh | Jirachi |
| Keldeo | Kyogre | Kyurem | Lugia | Manaphy |
| Meloetta | Mew | Mewtwo | Palkia | Phione |
| Rayquaza | Reshiram | Shaymin | Victini | Zekrom |
Note: This includes all Formes for those Pokemon that have more than one.
Trainers now have new, improved parties, most commonly with fully-evolved forms of Pokemon found in the previous Tournament. As well as this, all Pokemon have a hold item. There are less trainers that before too, with all trainers that weren't Gym Leaders or Bianca being cut out entirely, and the rest of the Gym Leaders that were previously missing added in. This makes for a less varied, but much more difficult Tournament.
See below for a complete list of their updated parties. Note that if you're playing a Single Battle Type, three of the first four Pokemon listed in their party will be used (the three are chosen at random). If you're playing a Double or Rotation Battle Type, their first four will be used and if you're playing a Triple Battle Type, all of their Pokemon will be used!
If you wish to know the basics of a Mix-style Tournament, see the Mix Tournament.

Type Expert Tournament
Once the Rental Tournament and Mix Tournament have been won, this, among other Tournaments, is unlocked. The Type Expert Tournament is actually a collection of sub-Tournaments based off of each Pokemon type. After selecting the Tournament, you must select the Pokemon type that is allowed to be used in the Tournament. The type that you choose is the only Pokemon type that can be used by both you or your opponent. Dual-type Pokemon are allowed if one of their types is the chosen type.
The Type Expert Tournaments set all Pokemon that enter to Level 50. This doesn't matter whether they're above or below this level. Other that, the only other thing to note is that you can choose to participate in a Single Battle, Double Battle, Triple Battle or Rotation Battle style for the Tournament.
There are also a number of banned Pokemon, mostly legendaries, shown in the table below:
Banned Pokemon
| Arceus | Celebi | Darkrai | Deoxys | Dialga |
| Genesect | Giratina | Groudon | Ho-Oh | Jirachi |
| Keldeo | Kyogre | Kyurem | Lugia | Manaphy |
| Meloetta | Mew | Mewtwo | Palkia | Phione |
| Rayquaza | Reshiram | Shaymin | Victini | Zekrom |
Note: This includes all Formes for those Pokemon that have more than one.
Each Pokemon type has its own trainers that can be battled, with between three and five being able to be battled per type. Obviously this means that once you've defeated a type once you've basically fully beaten it. Because there are seventeen different types, you should still be kept occupied for a while though.
The complete trainer lists for each type can be found below. Types are listed alphabetically so that you can easily scroll through and find the one that you want. Note that if you're playing a Single Battle Type, three of the first four Pokemon listed in their party will be used (the three are chosen at random). If you're playing a Double or Rotation Battle Type, their first four will be used and if you're playing a Triple Battle Type, all of their Pokemon will be used!
