Head south towards the stairs and take on the Ace Trainer here.

Trainer Battle: Ace Trainer Teru
PokemonLevelType
Starmie47Water/Psychic
Drapion47Poison/Dark
Reward:$2820

Continue west up the stairs. Head north through the Tall Grass when you reach the top. Continue past the steps leading west until you reach the end. In the north-east corner there is a tile that oddly doesn't contain Tall Grass. It instead contains a hidden Carbos though. Grab it, using the Dowsing MCHN to find it if you need. Head back south and head down those steps leading west.

Now head south down to the steps to your west taking you north up onto the elevated area. Move over and challenge the Backpacker here.

Trainer Battle: Backpacker Asagi
PokemonLevelType
Vanillite45Ice
Bouffalant45Normal
Reward:$1080

Head down the steps to your west. Now move north and head east into the Dark Grass north of the elevated area you were just on. Keep heading east until you find the Amoonguss posing as an item in the grass. Feel free to take it on if you want.

Wild Pokemon Battle
PokemonLevelType
Amoonguss47Grass/Poison

Head back west and move to the north-east corner of the Dark Grass patch. There you'll find a PP Up. Head back out of the Dark Grass and move back to the stairs. This time move up the stairs leading west. You'll come upon another of the Legendary Musketeers. When you do, Colress will appear from the east! He'll have stolen the key item that you lost from the Shadow Triads back in Opelucid City and after you answer a question (it doesn't matter what answer you give), you'll be given it. It turns out to be a Colress MCHN. Cool! This is the item that you need to explore Seaside Cave, so feel free to head onto that section of the walkthrough now if you so wish. It is, however, recommended that you explore the rest of Route 22 first, so you can collect the rest of the goodies! Let's continue on with it!

Colress will then leave and you'll be free to take on Terrakion, the Rock/Fighting Legendary Musketeer!

Wild Pokemon Battle
PokemonLevelType
Terrakion45Rock/Fighting

Note: If you simply defeat this Pokemon now, instead of catching it, it will reappear in the same spot as before, as a Level 65 Pokemon after you defeat the Elite Four.

As before, you don't have to battle it, but it's recommended. You may especially want to consider catching it as it'd be a worthy addition to your collection. Once you're done, move up the ramp onto the thin walkway. Now purposely drop down into the Dark Grass below and grab the Rare Candy on the west side of the area. Move south-east, toward the ledge you can jump over to get back to where you were. Just before the ledge is a Hiker who wants to battle with somebody.

Trainer Battle: Hiker Juzo
PokemonLevelType
Nosepass45Rock
Steelix45Steel/Ground
Reward:$1440

Jump over the ledge and move up the ramp onto the thin walkway to your east. Circle around and move west off the ramp to the north of where you moved onto the walkway. You'll be on an elevated section. Use your Dowsing MCHN to find the hidden Green Shard then move back onto the walkway and follow it east. When it turns south, continue to follow it and move down onto the area below. Take on the Pokemon Breeder!

Trainer Battle: Pokemon Breeder Aguri
PokemonLevelType
Camerupt45Fire/Ground
Grumpig45Psychic
Reward:$1440

Note: Like most Pokemon Breeder's, Aguri will challenge you to a battle if you move in front of him any time after you leave and re-enter this area.

Now use Strength to push the nearby boulder into the hole. If you need to head back to Humilau City to heal, I'd recommend doing it now when you have the shortcut back. Once you're ready, use Surf on the water to the Breeder's south. Head down the pond until you reach the western shore. Move onto the shore and move left behind the trees. There's an obscured Calcium tucked away here. Grab it then Surf back to the other shore. Now use the thin walkways to head all the way back to the Terrakion. Now head south from the Terrakion through the Tall Grass.

When you reach the two sets of stairs, continue south past them and grab the Poison Barb. Now head down the western set of stairs, then head north and head down a second set of stairs leading west. Move north up the side of the Tall Grass here. Just before you reach the Backpacker, look for the item in the Tall Grass to your west. It's actually an Amoonguss, but feel free to battle it if you want.

Wild Pokemon Battle
PokemonLevelType
Amoonguss47Grass/Poison

There'll be an actual item to your south-west. Move over and grab it, a Red Shard. Move back north-west. You'll find a male Backpacker looking for a battle.

Trainer Battle: Backpacker Tagima
PokemonLevelType
Swinub45Ice/Ground
Darmanitan45Fire
Reward:$1080

Circumvent the Tall Grass by moving counter-clockwise around it. You'll see an entrance to a cave known as the Giant Chasm. You can head in there now, if you want, but let's keep heading south first. You'll eventually reach an Ace Trainer. Move up to her and battle her.

Trainer Battle: Ace Trainer Ruka
PokemonLevelType
Arcanine47Fire
Excadrill47Ground/Steel
Reward:$2820

Move up the steps leading east to her south. Now move along the walkway taking you north. Take the path leading directly north and follow it until you reach the end. Move down onto the ground and grab the Max Potion. Now move onto the walkway and drop down to the ground below. You've done everything! As you can't yet explore Giant Chasm, you should head to Route 21 and past it to the Seaside Cave! Don't forget to heal your Pokemon first. Once you're done, head south from the Pokemon Center and use Surf to move onto the water there. Head south into Route 21.

Ryusuke will have blocked you from moving further south, but there's nothing important there anyway. Instead, use Surf and move over the water leading east. There's a little island with a Heart Scale on it. Grab the Scale then continue Surfing north. You'll eventually reach solid ground. Move onto it. You can now move up the steps leading outside, but you'll need to battle a Crustle blocking your way first. It's assumed that you'll explore B1F first though. Now move back down the steps and jump over the ledge leading back south. Heads up the steps to the east, leading out of the cave. If you haven't already, you'll need to battle the Crustle to clear it. Select 'Yes' when given two options after interacting with it. The battle will ensue.

Once the Pokemon's defeated, move north and grab the Calcium hidden in the rock, then exit the cave!

Plasma Frigate Deck

Head out east and you'll see the Plasma Frigate! Hugh will run out of the cave and will greet you. A board leading from the beach to the Frigate will then be set down and Marlon will walk down it. It seems he snuck onto the ship! He will leave and allow you to take on the Frigate yourself. Hugh will rush up onto the ship. Head up onto it yourself. The battling will begin immediately!

After being defeated, the Grunts on the deck will flee. Now head to the very south end of the boat, on the eastern side. Move up the steps and at the end of the boat you'll find TM67 - Retaliate. Head to the very north end of the ship, up the steps. You'll find a Revive. Head back down the steps and move over to Hugh. He will move through a doorway. Follow him in. You'll come upon a male and female pair of Grunts (Awww, Team Plasma romance!). Move up to them and let the double battle ensue. Looks like you're once again paired up with Hugh for this fight! Hugh's party will be as follows:

Once defeated, the two Grunts will sprint from the room. Talk with Hugh then head out onto the deck. You're going to be hurting by now, so you may want to head back to the Doctor at the Route 21 entrance to Seaside Cave and heal yourself, then come back. It might take a little while to get back here, but it's probably necessary. Otherwise, feel free to splurge on Revives and healing items. Once you're ready, head down the stairs to the south of the room you were just in, down to the lower level.

The next section changes depending on your Version. If you're playing Black Version 2, read on! If you're playing White Version 2, skip to the Plasma Frigate B1F - White Version 2 section.

Plasma Frigate B1F - Black Version 2

Once you're down in the first floor below deck, you'll come upon Hugh talking with some Grunts. He'll then run off and the Grunts will continue patrolling. It's time to whoop some Team Plasma ass! First, take on the Grunt patrolling the west side of the main corridor.

Now let's head into the south-west of the six rooms. Inside you'll see odd, bright green circles. These are teleportation pads. Standing on them will transport you to another room in this area. In the eastern, north-west, south-east and south-west rooms, one teleportation pad will take you to a button that can be pressed. Once all four buttons are pressed, you'll be able to enter the Storage Room, which is found to the north of where you partook in the double battle. This guide won't make use of them for teleportation between rooms as they are simply confusing. Instead, a systematic approach will instead be taken to clearing out this entire floor of Grunts looking for a battle. Move west and take on the first Grunt here.

You're in a room with Zinzolin and one of his Grunts. Move up and he'll notice you. After talking for a while, Hugh will finally arrive. The two of you will team up against Zinzolin and the Grunt. Head south until you reach the pair of Grunts. Hugh will appear behind and a Grunt will appear to your south. The pair of grunts will leave and you'll talk with the third Grunt. Hugh will leave, with the Grunt leaving soon after. Continue on south until you reach the boulder. Use Strength on it and push it into the hole. Move north to the water and use Surf on it. Follow it north to the very end and grab the TM13 - Ice Beam there. Now Surf back south until you reach the path leading west. Move onto it and follow it to the stairs. Move to the south edge of the area and head west past the doorway leading outside. Now turn on your Dowsing MCHN and use it to find the nearby Star Piece hidden in a rock. Move back to the south-most path and continue west.

When the path veers north, follow it. Strength will still be activated, so push the next boulder into the hole and collect the Max Repel behind it. Take the path north to the very north end of this area, past the two Grunts blocking an exit. At the north-west corner, turn on your Dowsing MCHN and use it to find the hidden Ultra Ball. Continue east along the northern path and push the next boulder into its hole. Grab the Star Piece behind it. Keep heading east.

You'll reach another boulder. Push it into the hole and find the hidden Ice Gem behind it with your Dowsing MCHN. That's absolutely everything there is to do here. Move back around to the centre of the southern edge of the area. Let's head through the door on the south edge of the area, the one that's not down the stairs.

You'll be outside of the Giant Chasm. There's a few items to collect here. Move up the steps to your north-east first. Grab the Yellow Shard halfway up, then continue to the top. There's a wooden lookout here, with a hidden Moon Stone on it. Use your Dowsing MCHN to find it. Move back to the entrance to the cave and take the stairs leading east instead. When you reach the top, follow the path back around west and continue west through the Dark Grass. There's a hidden Max Potion at the end, in the grass. Head back out of the grass.

You'll see a path leading south. This will take you to Route 13. You can head there if you really want, but we have more important things to do! There are a couple of items that you can only get from this entrance though. Follow the path south until you reach some stairs leading down to the water. Head down and run through the shallows to grab the Hyper Potion. There's also a Heart Scale hidden in a rock here. Head back into the cave. Head down the steps and enter the other doorway leading out of the cave there.

Head north and you'll see Hugh watching a couple of Old Team Plasma Members facing off against New Team Plasma. Hugh, the reckless bastard, will scream at them all to get their attention. He'll shout at them and the Old Team Plasma Members will be rather confused. A couple of New Team Plasma Grunts will move up to you and Hugh and take you on. You're each fighting a single battle though.

The New Team Plasma Grunts will back off and the leader of Old Team Plasma will speak with you and hand you a Max Revive. More New Team Plasma Grunts will appear from the north-east. Old Team Plasma will hold them off and Hugh will run off to the north-east. Now you can head after him yourself!

First though, head west into the Dark Grass. Move through it the south-west corner and collect the Razor Claw there. Move out of the Dark Grass and move around the right side of the Old and New Team Plasma Members. Instead of following after Hugh immediately, head north-west through the Tall Grass. At the north-west corner you'll find a Moon Stone. Move back to the Team Plasma Members and now head east through the trees, after Hugh. Move up the icy steps onto the ice.

I'll give you directions on how to navigate the ice. After you're on it, move east, east again, north, west, south, west, south, south, south again, then east. You're now on the Plasma Frigate again!

Hugh will be handling all of the Team Plasma Grunts near the entrance himself, so head south and move through the doorway there. You'll find yourself ambushed by two Grunts who'll take you on from either side. Double Battle!

Now move west, then south and head back to the south platform. Move onto the western walkway and press the button at the first intersection. Now move east, north, east and stand on the next button. Continue north off onto the north platform. Head back to the teleportation pad and move over to the PC to the north-west of it. Use it and select 'Yes' to input the password. Enter the code Zekrom (or Reshiram if you're playing White 2). Once you've written it out, press the 'Enter' button and the barriers will be removed.

You'll wind up in Ghetsis' room, with Ghetsis in it! This is the first time you've met him all game. After a stupidly long monologue, he'll call in one of the Shadow Triads and leave. Hugh will appear and you'll begin a single battle with the Shadow Triad member.

The pair of them will talk, things will happen and you'll switch to a cutscene of Kyurem and Reshiram facing off against each other. Reshiram will be bound by Kyurem before fusing with it!
