"Hey Wario! This game of yours isn't as funny as it used to!"

The Warioware series has been one of my favorite series to play with over the past 5 years. And it's still not getting old a lot! I really enjoyed playing the first three games in the series. It's huge quantity of hilarious micro-games and the high quality and care of the games they put in to each and every one of them really made those games great.

I really expected this game, Warioware: Touched!!, to be as good as the previous three. And in the end, I was mostly right.

The first thing you'll encounter in this game is the title screen. And I found this part to be very great. They just throw you green paint, old doughnuts, and other crazy stuff and you can use the touch screen to throw this stuff around. I love the effects they make when they're thrown and the touch screen controls there were perfect.

And then, you can see your characters that are included in the game in a small hub. They can walk all over the place, and even leave if you're not careful! You tap a person to play their micro-games. I thought that was a cool idea. Not only it was more organized than the previous game's hub, it was much more tolerable and easier to navigate in.

The micro-games all each have a specific theme. There are games where you have to tap, scribble, even twirl in circles! I thought that was a nice idea, but I found it to be dull after a while.

And what about the micro-games themselves? Are they really as good as the previous three games' collections? Well, it's more like a wild shot. I found some of the micro-games to be funny, but it kinda wears down after a short while. And the ones that are really funny were a dozen or two and far between. I found that to be the weakest part of the entire game, not the strongest part. I overall didn't really liked the new batch of micro-games Nintendo had to offer us right now.

But just like the previous game, you can unlock minigames and other stuff by playing the micro-games contained in this game. At least that was fun. And you can visit the minigames in a separate compartment, organize them, and even play them! And after a while, I found the minigames to be much more enjoyable than the micro-games.

The graphics are still as cheerful and cute as the previous three games'. I liked how the characters were represented and the micro-games themselves were colorful and beautiful to look at.

I also liked their choice of music. While they didn't really go the funny route like the previous games did, they were much better to listen to than the other games.

I also liked how the controls worked for this game. You use the touch screen and your microphone to win the micro-games and advance forward another notch. They really worked perfectly, even for the microphone games. While I was blowing real hard after playing it for three hours, it still reads the action just as perfectly as it did a while ago. I found that to be great.

This game can last you about 7-8 hours. While the minigames were great to play through all over again, I still can't seem to find a good reason to actually play the micro-games more than six times each. But if you're only in it for the minigames, I think you can play this game again.

Presentation: Bring the Warioware franchise and its micro-games onto the Nintendo DS.
Graphics: They're still as colorful and cute as the previous Warioware titles.
Music: They didn't go for the comedy route again. But at least the tunes are nice to listen to for a while.
Controls: The use of the touch screen and the microphone are perfect for a game like this.
Gameplay: The micro-games weren't as good as they used to be. The really funny micro-games are few and far between. But the minigames that you earn actually saved the game from total blunder.
Replayability: 7-8 hours is all you need to complete this game. The only reason I would recommend playing this game again is to play the minigames that you earn so far.

Final Verdict: Buy/Rent. I didn't think this game was a good as the previous titles were. But the music was nice, the controls were perfect, and the minigames were very enjoyable and well rewarding to play with. But the lack of good micro-games found in this title made me recommend this game to be a rent. But if this is your first time playing this game, or if you have a young child in the house, then they might enjoy this game. And for that reason alone, buy it now.
