    ##### 1. Introduction ##### [0001]
    ###############################################################################

    Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is a sequel of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow for
    the Gameboy Advance. I have been a fan of the Castlevania series and this DS
    installment is a great addition to the series. This guide is created for
    people who are new to the series and want to find their way through the
    game using this guide, as well as serious gamers who want to collect
    everything in the game using this guide. Glitches are not covered, as well
    as items and souls that can be obtained by glitching the game. Also note
    this:

    THIS GUIDE CONTAINS SPOILERS.

    This guide tries to avoid spoilers as much as possible: Walkthrough section
    will not contain any information regarding the main storyline or secrets of
    certain rooms here and there. However being a walkthrough, this guide will
    contain a lot of spoilers, especially when it comes to tell you which room
    you should go next.

    ###############################################################################
    ##### 2. How To Read This Guide ##### [0002]
    ###############################################################################

    As mentioned earlier, it is recommended that you open two copies of this
    guide. This guide provides you with ASCII recreation of the map of the
    castle. Each room is assigned with its own letter, and Walkthrough section
    is based on those letters. For example, you will see a part of a map
    looking like this:

    ***************
    :-<K>-:--<L>--:
    :-----:-------:
    ***************

    Then you will find a text like this in the Walkthrough section:

    ......

    <K>
    Kill all the enemies and go to <L>.

    <L>
    This room has a lot of...

    ......

    As the text says, you need to go from the room <K> to <L>. Get the idea?
    You will also occasionally skip to other rooms or come back to that room.
    Just follow the letters and you will have no problem.

    Walkthrough will not contain information about secrets of some rooms in the
    castle: they are explained in Spoilers section. Therefore, you can simply
    use the map for a reference, or read the walkthrough part with the map for
    a quick play through, or resolve to the Spoilers section when you are
    really stuck.

    ###############################################################################
    ##### 4. About Souls ##### [0004]
    ###############################################################################

    When you kill a monster, it will randomly give you its soul. You can think
    of the souls as magic attacks. The properties of souls will somehow follow
    their original characters. They can be categorized into Bullet-Type Tactical
    soul, Guardian-Type Tactical soul and Enchant-Type Tactical soul. In this
    guide, any soul that is Bullet-Type is noted as [B], such as Skeleton[B].
    Accordingly, Guardian-Type souls are suffixed by [G] and Enchant-Type souls
    are suffixed by [E]. Ability-Type soul is considered as an 'ability' in this
    guide.

    You can increase the power of the soul by collecting many of the same soul.
    The maximum number of any soul that you can have is 9. When you bring out
    the soul equipment screen, you will notice that there are numbers beside the
    the name of the soul and the description of the soul. The number beside the
    name of the soul is current number of soul you dominate. The left number
    beside soul description is current level of that soul, and the right number
    is maximum level the soul can reach. Divide 9 by its maximum level and that
    is the amount of souls you need to level up the soul to the next level. If
    the maximum level is 5, you need 2 more souls to level that soul up.

    For example, if you have Lv 1/3 Skeleton[B] 2, you have 2 Skeleton[B] souls
    and the current level of our Skeleton[B] soul is 1. Since 9/3 = 3, you have
    to have 4 Skeleton[B] to level it up. For now you need two more Skeleton[B]
    souls to level the soul up to Lv 2/3 since you already have two of it.

    Soul drop rate differentiate from a monster to a monster. Just about every
    monster has a soul, except Human bosses that you will fight. You will get a
    reward for collecting 100% of the souls in the game(refer to the
    Spoilers section). Collecting souls is a huge part of the game system, but
    don't dwell on it too much. This game is, after all, about exploring the
    castle and kicking some monster asses.

    ###############################################################################
    ##### 5. About Weapon Upgrades #### [0005]
    ###############################################################################

    Over the course of the game, you will collect lots of weapons and there is
    even a shop from which you can buy weapons. However you can fuse some of
    your souls with your weapons to make stronger weapons. It is up to you that
    which series of weapons you want to indulge yourself in, so experiment
    well. Note that guns and ranged weapons such as a boomerang cannot be
    upgraded.

    ###############################################################################
    ##### 6. Walkthrough ##### [0006]
    ###############################################################################

    After the prologue, you will be prompted to a small fight with a set of
    monsters. Upon killing an enemy, you will receive its soul. Use it in the
    next fights to make them easier. After a long dialogue scene, you will
    find yourself in <The_Lost_Village>.

    ===============================================================================

    <A>
    Game starts. This is the beginning of many hours of good gaming experience.
    Excited? You should be :D Proceed to <C>.

    <C>
    Pretty basic beginning of the game. You will encounter with Skeletons and
    Bats. Simply defeat them and proceed to <D>. If you want their souls, go out
    of the room, come back, and the enemies will regenerate so you can kill them
    and hopefully get their souls.

    <D>
    Do not bother with the Peeping_Eye[E] soul for now, unless you want to scout
    out the hidden walls of the castle(or a cult base, to be precise) all by
    yourself or you are collecting 100% of the souls. Those hidden rooms are
    included in this guide. You will see some floors you can't reach for now.
    That means you will have to come back, so simply proceed to <E>.

    <E>
    If this is your first visit to the room, there is a Short_Sword laying on
    the ground. Pick it up and equip it. Drop down and you will find a Potion
    on the ground. Pick it up and head right to find a save room. This room
    fills up HP/MP so use it if necessary. Room <L> is not accessible since you
    don't have a magic seal yet. Head to <F>.

    <F>
    Warg is not tough once you have the Short_Sword equipped, or if you keep
    the distance and throw the Skeleton[B] soul at it. Axe Armor can throw axes
    either horizontally or upward. Both are easy to dodge. Advance to <G>.

    <G>
    A cut scene ensues. After the cut scene, you will receive Magic_Seal_1 from
    Yoko. This is needed to open doors to some of boss rooms, and to seal bosses
    away. You can always practice drawing it from the menu, so if needed then
    practice it(but the first magic seal is really easy to draw). Now you can
    open the door in <E>. You will not be able to swim down yet so don't
    bother. Go back all the way to <E>-2.

    <E>-2
    Save before you reach for the sealed door. After a short dialogue scene you
    will automatically walk into the next room and fight the first boss in the
    game: Flying Armor.

    <L>
    ===============================
    == Boss Fight : Flying Armor ==
    ===============================

    *Attacks*

    1. It holds two blades directed at you and shoots them at you.
    2. It swings the blades around.
    3. It shoots two blades to the sides of the screen. They come back slicing
       the bottom of the screen.

    *Strategy*

    This is a pretty easy boss. To avoid attack 1, just move away. To avoid
    attack 2, just keep the distance or duck and slide kick when the blades
    start to spin. Attack 3 is easily dodged by jumping over the blades. If you
    have the Axe_Armor[B] soul then use it and it will hit multiple times. Just
    keep attacking and you will win in no time. You will receive the
    Flying_Armor[G] soul when you defeat the boss.

    After a short dialogue with Yoko you will be able to proceed to <K>.

    <K>
    Equip the Flying_Armor[G] soul and use it(hold R after jumping) to reach the
    higher platform. Pick up the Claymore. It will give you more powerful attack
    but the attack speed is sacrificed. Head to <J>.

    <J>
    The portal is not accessible now. Get the Spear here. You can drop down to
    the bottom of the room and visit Yoko and Hammer. Helpful items you can get
    from "Honest Hammer's(not an official name, mind you heh)" is the
    Castle_Maps. UMA_News describes some rare monsters and their appearances. If
    you want to solve the mysteries without reading this guide, then buy them
    too. Stock up the Potions if you'd like or get some new weapons, but you
    already have a good selection of weapons and you will collect more Potions
    along the way so there's no point using the shop for now. Visit Yoko's
    place too. If you visit their places often, you will see some dialogue
    scenes between them and Soma.

    If you want a money bag & a Mace and want to find a save room go to <I>.
    Otherwise head to <M>. Of course you want the money bag, doní»t you?

    <I>
    Ouiji_Table[E] soul is fun to have(and sometimes comes in handy) but the
    drop rate is terrible and it's not really required so if you can't get it
    then don't worry about it. The Mace and the $1000 money bag are there for
    you to pick up. Go back to <J> once you found a save room on the left.

    <M>
    Simply advance to <N>.

    <N>
    Spin Devil can go down easily if you have a Spear or a Claymore equipped. If
    you want to collect $2000, Corn_Soup and Cape then head to <R>, otherwise
    go to <O> using the Flying_Armor[G] soul.

    <R>
    This is the best place to collect the Zombie[B] soul. Try to hit the ground
    with either weapons or souls near <S> and you will reveal a hidden room <V>
    below.

    <V>
    Simply collect Corn_Soup and $2000, then get out.

    <S>
    There is an item on the other side of the room but you don't have an access
    to it. You can't get it now so come back later(see Spoilers section). You
    picked up and equipped the Cape already, right? (heh)

    <O>
    Student_Witch[B] soul is good in the early game if you want a long range
    attack. If you are running low on HP and have the Ouiji_Table[E] soul then
    there are lots of chairs to sit on. Nothing else to do. Go to <P>.

    <P>
    Simply advance to <Q>.

    <Q>
    There's a switch on the wall and when you activate it(attack it) the water
    will drain and you can finally go to the bottom of <G>.

    <G>-2
    It's time to move on to the next area: <Wizardry_Lab_(1)>. Watch out for the
    Spin Devil and go through the door to the right.

    ===============================================================================

    <A>
    Ghosts are in your way. Drop down and in the middle of way you will see two
    open passages on your left and right: left to the save room, right to <E> to
    collect some money. Pick up the Mind_Up and save if necessary. Drop down all
    the way and proceed to <H>.

    <E>
    Bomber Armor is fairly strong but its attack is easy to dodge. Pick up the
    Blunt_Sword. When you reach the bottom of the room there is a treasure chest
    waiting for you. Break it open and you will get random amount of money. This
    chest regenerates like enemies so you can come back for more money if you
    want. Go back to <A>.

    <H>
    Skull_Archer[G] soul is very useful because you can increase the damage by
    holding down R button. This consumes more MP though, so use it wisely. Go
    to <G>.

    <G>
    Now you have two paths. They eventually lead to <R> so choose whichever ways
    you want to choose. Go to <Q> to find a Scarf first.

    If you want to activate a portal first, go to <L>.
    If you want the way to the boss, choose <N>.

    <Q>
    A Scarf is on the ground. You can pick it up and equip it but you can't go
    farther yet. Go back to <G>.

    <L>
    Manticore is fairy tough but it's nothing you can't handle. There is a
    creepy painting on the wall and the eyes are watching you... Proceed to <M>.

    <M>
    You will eventually have to pass this room later. On your right is a portal.
    To activate it, simply go into the room. You can visit The_Lost_Village
    again for shopping if you want. You can either proceed to <N> or <O>.

    <O>
    Slaughterer's fire ball can be destroyed by simply attacking it. Back dash to
    dodge as well. Proceed to <R>.

    <P>
    Nothing to do now. Go back to <O>.

    <N>
    This is one of the best rooms to collect the Manticore[G] soul. Simply go
    back and forth between this room and <S> while killing Manticores(and others
    while you are at it). Of course you don't necessarily have to do the labor
    if you don't want to.

    If you want to activate a portal first, go to <M>(You will eventually have
    to pass this room later). If you want the way to the boss, choose <S>.

    <S>
    This is the best room to collect the Golem[E] soul. Notice that the Golem
    has gotten much tougher to beat since the first time you fought it. Advance
    to <R>.

    <R>
    Simply advance to <T>.

    <T>
    Another cut scene is shown. Your objective is now clear from the dialogue
    here. When the cut scene is done, go to <U>.

    <U>
    Nothing here, just save the game and prepare to fight the boss waiting in
    the room <V>.

    <V>
    When you enter the room and approach to the ice, a giant laser beam
    penetrates the ice blocks and opens the passage.
    =========================
    == Boss Fight : Balore ==
    =========================

    *Attacks*

    1. It shoots a giant laser beam across the room from its eye.
    2. It raises its fist then slams it down.
    3. It retracts its fist then raises its fist to the ceiling.
    4. It holds its fist in front of its face briefly and punch two times
       horizontally.

    *Strategy*

    This battle can be very easy once you master the patterns, although the size
    and the powerful attacks of the boss can throw your guard off at first. Its
    fist can't hurt you unless it is in attack motion, so don't worry about
    bumping into it while attacking. When it shoots the giant beam, simply duck.
    To dodge attack 2, move close to the face. To dodge attack 3, move away from
    the face(in other words, move towards the gate on your right). Attack 4 can
    be easily dodged by ducking first, and jumping. Recommended weapons of
    choice is anything that can swing overhead such as an Axe or a Claymore.
    Manticore[G] soul will help a lot. Stay close to the face and keep attacking
    while dodging its attacks, and you will win in no time. You will receive
    Balore ability when you defeat the boss.

    After the fight, head back to the right. The ice blocks are there and you
    can try your newly gained ability on them. Simply touch the screen to break
    the blocks, and come back to <U>-2.

    <U>-2
    Save if you wish, and head to <M>-2.

    <M>-2
    If you want to collect a Combat_Knife then head to <B> through <A>.
    Combat_Knife will allow you attack faster but is a fairly weak weapon.

    If you want to advance to next area, go to <I>.

    <B>
    Lots of ice blocks are blocking your way. Keep breaking them using the
    touch screen and go to <C>.

    <C>
    Break the ice blocks and go to <D>.

    <D>
    You will find Combat_Knife on the ground. Pick it up and head back to <M>-2.

    <I>
    Simply advance to <J>.

    <J>
    Don't break the first set of ice blocks. You can step on them to reach the
    moving floor. However don't do it yet. Instead, break the rest of ice blocks
    in the room and take the moving floor. If you want to access to hidden room
    <F>, just break the ceiling above the 6th~7th Armor Knight from the left.
    Then go out of the room and come back. This time, keep breaking the ice
    blocks until you reach the ice blocks above the 6th Armor Knight from the
    left. Then ride the moving floor, step on the ice blocks, jump and go to
    <F>.

    You will have to duck at the end of your ride on the moving floor. When you
    are done go to <K>.

    <F>
    Collect Foie_Gras and go back to <J>.

    <K>
    Open the door, and you will advance to next area of the game,
    <Garden_of_Madness>.

    ===============================================================================

    <W>
    Watch out for Unes because they are hard to be seen sometimes. Skelerang
    will throw two boomerangs. They can reach pretty far and are not
    destructible so take Skelerangs down quickly. There is a save room on the
    left. Proceed to <V>.

    <X>
    The best room to collect Mandragora[B] soul. You can't swim through the
    water so there's nothing else to do here now. Go back to <W>.

    <V>
    Treant is found here. Its punch and kick are fairly strong so watch out and
    try to attack from the distance. You will find Magic_Seal_2 on the ground.
    Practice if needed, and go to <T>.

    <T>
    A portal is found on your left. Corpse Weed looks just like Une at first but
    it grows up and attacks you. Activate the portal and simply advance to <O>.

    <O>
    There is a Breastplate on the platform, so don't miss it. Skeleton Ape will
    throw a barrel which can be destroyed. Keep your distance from it or destroy
    the barrel. Go to <L>.

    <P>
    Nothing special here. The gate cannot be opened since you don't have
    matching Magic Seal yet. Mollusca can poison you. Go back to <O>.

    <L>
    Catoblepas will petrify you with the cloud breath. Once petrified, you will
    receive more damage so try to shake it off by pressing the controller left
    and right quickly(or any other direction for that matter).

    If you want to open a treasure chest and get a Fleuret then go to <H>.
    If you want the Doppleganger ability then go to <M>.

    <H>
    There is a platform you can't reach yet. Rycuda will not attack you unless
    you get close to it. Weapons that swing overhead will help here. Watch out
    for the Mandragora and drop down to <O>-2.

    <O>-2
    Eliminate the Catoblepas and advance to the end of the platform. Open the
    chest for some money and find the Fleuret on the platform. Go back to <L>.

    <M>
    If you are entering from the top passage, watch out for the barrel that
    Skeleton Ape throws. On the top platform of the room lies a new ability,
    Doppelganger. It lets you equip two sets of weapons and souls. You need to
    press X to change between the sets. This room is the only place you can find
    the Skeleton_Farmer[E] soul. One of the seeds it throws is Mandragora, so be
    careful. Watch out for Yorick's skull. If you take down the skull first, the
    body will panic and will charge towards you. The blue chest in this room is
    not a chest but a monster, Mimic. Avoid it if your HP is low. Go to <N>.

    <N>
    Simply advance to <S>.

    <S>
    If you want to pick up Three_7's(an armor which boosts your luck) head down
    to <U>. Otherwise go out of the room to the right to the next area,
    <The_Dark_Chapel>.

    <R>
    Nothing special here. The gate cannot be opened since you don't have
    matching Magic Seal yet. Mollusca can poison you. Go back to <S>.

    <U>
    There is a statue blocking the way to <a>. This statue is related to your
    money...see Spoilers if you want to know how to open the passage to <a>.
    Enter <a> to get the Three_7's, and go back to <S> when you are done.

    <a>
    Simply pick up Three_7's and head back to <U>.

    <Z>
    You will find Yorick kicking its head in a small pitfall, so be careful when
    you go down. You can't swim through the water so there's nothing you can do
    here yet. Go back to <U>.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (Continued from <The_Dark_Chapel>, <G>-2)

    <H>-2
    Now that you can use Malphas ability to double jump, you can access the
    upper part of the room. There is a Elfin_Robe on the ground. Pick it up and
    Proceed to <I>. You can also break the wall to find hidden room above this
    room, but it cannot be reached yet.

    <I>
    Nothing special here. Advance to <J>.

    <J>
    Treants and a Barbariccia are found here. Proceed with care and find a save
    room to the right. Go up the ledge and head above to <F>.

    <F>
    Kill the Rycuda and prepare to fight another dark lord candidate, Dario.

    <E>
    ========================
    == Boss Fight : Dario ==
    ========================

    *Attacks*

    1. He shoots out a small fireball from his palm.
    2. He smashes down the floor to cause a flame wave.
    3. He raises both his hands to create three pillars of flame.
    4. He teleports to random place in the room.

    *Strategy*

    His attacks are powerful, but you can dodge them all very easily. To dodge
    his first/second attacks, simply jump(or double jump). When he creates the
    flame pillars, time it right and move over to the left or right a little,
    wait for the sign of second pillar, then move over again. Third pillar seems
    to be almost always between the first two, so you can attack him while the
    pillars are burning. The weapon of choice is spear series, since they have
    long ranges and powerful attacks.

    After you beat him, another dialogue scene is presented. You will be able to
    go to <A> now.

    <A>
    Nothing special here. Watch out for Skelerang and open the door, and you
    will be in the next area, <Demon_Guest_House>.

    <B>
    It seems like the gate is blocking the way here. Go back to <A>.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (Continued from <Cursed_Clock_Tower>, <d>)

    <C>
    This room is very similar to <A>. You can go to <B>-2 to open the gate you
    saw before, or head down to <G> to collect a Handgun.

    <B>-2
    This room is the only place you can find WakWak Tree. Isn't it neat that
    Fleamen are born from a tree? When you open the gate you can explore the
    castle again or simply head back to <C>.

    <G>
    Kill(or ignore) Rycudas here and drop down to <K>.

    <K>
    There are several Yoricks kicking their skulls around on the bottom floor,
    and if you are not careful you will get hit by them. Go to <S>-2.

    <S>-2
    Watch out for a Mimic and pick up the Handgun. What is that? You already
    went and bought the Silver_Gun? Well...*crickets chirping*

    Go back all the way to <Cursed_Clock_Tower>, <U> if you want to proceed the
    game. You can, of course, always explore the castle if you want.

    (Continue to <Cursed_Clock_Tower>, <U>)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (Continued from <Subterranean_Hell_(2)>, <E>)

    <Y>
    You can go to <b> to find a Small_Sword or visit other rooms to complete
    the map. When you are done, head back to <Subterranean_Hell_(2)>, <Q>.

    <b>
    Treant will attack you head on. There is not enough space to maneuver, so
    kill it quickly. Pick up the Small_Sword and get back to <Y>.

    (Continue to <Subterranean_Hell_(2)>, <Q>)

    ===============================================================================

    <L>
    The best moment to kill Mini Devils is when they pause to create their sonic
    boom like attacks. Find a save room and advance to <M>.

    <M>
    Ahh...Witch, the best monster to look at, is here...how many hours have I
    wasted slaying Ghouls, staring at you...*shudders* She won't attack you
    unless you jump. Ghoul[E] soul sometimes comes in handy, such as the time
    when you want to change Rotten_Meat into a High_potion. Go to <K>.

    <K>
    If you want more souls or items appearing in front of you, then harvesting
    and maxing out Ghost_Dancer[E] souls is highly recommended. If you get the
    Amalaric_Sniper[B] soul, you can have your very first soul combination.
    Equip the Skull_Archer[G] soul along with it and whenever the
    Skull_Archer[G] soul is activated the Amalaric Sniper is summoned to help
    out.

    This is also the best room to collect The_Creature[E] soul for now, since
    there's a candle holder to replenish your low MP; then again, that monster
    is notorious for not giving up its soul, and its effect is not very helping,
    so don't get frustrated if you don't get the soul right away(and consider
    yourself VERY lucky if you get the soul with a couple of attempts). Actually
    just avoid collecting its soul until you have more powerful souls to attack.

    Using the Flying_Armor[G] soul, you can pick up a Potion. There's a portal
    on the left.

    If you want some items or want to level up a bit then head down to <P>.
    If you want to proceed the game then go to <J>.

    <P>
    Hell_Boar[B] soul is very powerful if you dare get close to enemies. Its
    fireball can be destroyed. Advance to <O>.

    <O>
    If you want to collect $2000 go to <N>.
    If you want to pick up Traverler_Cape go to <Q>.
    Otherwise proceed to <R>.

    <N>
    Using the Barbariccia[G] soul transforms you into giant dashing devil. You
    become invincible while charging but your MP will deplete quickly. Collect
    $2000 money bag and head back to <O>.

    <Q>
    White Dragon can be annoying. Its fireball can be destroyed. Pick up the
    Traverler_Cape and go back to <O>.

    <R>
    Guillotiner separates itself into two parts. Attack either part and you can
    kill it easily.

    If you have Skeleton[B] and want Halberd, go to <T>.
    If you want Red_Scarf then go to <U>.

    When you are done, head all the way back to <K>.

    <S>
    Watch out for the trap ceiling which falls down. A wall with small hole is
    blocking the passage. You can't pass it now, so just head back to <R> for
    now.

    <T>
    Eliminate the monsters here. See the pink wall with Skeleton carved on it?
    What does it mean? How can you pass it? It's the mystery of the century!
    OK, enough sarcasm, but see Spoilers section if you really don't know the
    answer. Pick up a Halberd and get back to <R>.

    <U>
    Watch out for the trap ceiling and a Barbarccia. Simply go to <V>.

    <V>
    Another giant mirror on the wall is here. Just pick up the Red_Scarf here
    and get back to <R> for now.

    <J>
    This is the only place you can find Great Armor. Its soul appears as
    familiar, and attacks after split second of your attack. It also drops a
    Ring_Mail, which is better than the Breastplate. Go to <I>.

    <I>
    This is the first time you will see a Valkyrie. Her soul has similar effect
    as the Barbarccia[G] soul. Proceed to <E>.

    <E>
    You will have to use the moving floor to access higher platform. There is
    an item in sight but you can't get it now. Simply advance to <A>.

    <A>
    On the top left is a save room.

    If you want an Anti_Venom then go to <B>. You will have to come back to this
    room eventually so fighting the boss first is recommended.
    If you want to fight the boss then go to <H>.

    <B>
    Tombstone[E] soul is useful later in the game. Go to <C>.

    <C>
    Mini Devils are found. You can stand on the bells. The Anti_Venom is found
    on the top left floor. There is also High_Mind_Up but you can't get it now.
    A Bell is hidden in this room(see Spoilers). Head back to <A>.

    <H>
    ==========================
    == Boss Fight : Dmitrii ==
    ==========================

    *Attacks*

    1. His initial soul attack is Malachi[B]. He shoots giant spinning ball
       towards you.
    2. He will copy whatever soul you attack him with, and will use it.
    3. He draws a knife at you.

    *Strategy*

    He can be very easy or very challenging depending on what souls you have and
    how you attack him. His Malachi[B] soul attack can be dodged by jumping and
    using the Flying_Armor[G] soul. Once you attack him with one of your souls,
    he will stop using the Malachi[B] soul and start using the soul you just
    attacked him with. The souls he uses are at Lv 1 though, so give him
    something that you can easily dodge. Some of the examples that are easily
    dodged ones are Une[B], Warg[B], Student_Witch[B], Bomber_Armor[B], even
    Yorick[B], and a lot more. You can experiment with different souls. He will
    also copy Guardian souls should you choose to give him them(except some
    souls such as Barbariccia[G], Valkyrie[G] and Skull_Archer[G]), so familiars
    or attacking Guardian souls are not suggested for an easy battle. Of course
    there's no stopping you from setting up some challenges...*grins*

    Notice that if you use Zombie[B] you can't slay his zombies. Also once he
    gains the dominance over one of your souls and if you give him another one
    then he will not use the one you gave him before again, even if you try to
    give him that soul again. For example, once you attack him with Skeleton[B],
    attack him with Une[B], attack him with Skeleton[B] again, then he will
    still use Une[B] instead of using Skeleton[B].

    One dark lord candidate down, one more to go. Proceed to <G>.

    <G>
    There is a ring but you can't get it now. Prepare to fight another boss,
    Malphas.

    <F>
    ==========================
    == Boss Fight : Malphas ==
    ==========================

    *Attacks*

    1. It comes down to ground, summons crows to itself, jump and shoots them
       out towards you.
    2. It shoots out feathers to the side.
    3. It shoots out four black energy balls.
    4. It flies around the room.

    *Strategy*

    At first this boss can be tough, but you will have no problem eventually.
    The trick is to stay below it, but just a little to the left or right.
    Attack with weapons that swings overhead or use the Axe_Armor[B] soul. When
    you see the boss gather power to shoot out energy balls, move as far away as
    possible and jump to the other direction to dodge them. If it comes down to
    ground, attack until it goes back to the middle of the air, then simply walk
    towards it as it shoots out the crows to the empty space. When it moves
    around, just run around to avoid it. Again, there's no tough boss in this
    game once you know their attack patterns. You will receive Malphas ability
    upon defeating it. Now you can double jump to the higher platforms.

    Head back to <G>-2.

    <G>-2
    Now you can use Malphas ability and the Flying_Armor[G] soul to get the
    Hoop_Earring. You can also get several items you have missed so far.

    <C> - High_Mind_Up (and Anti-Venom if you didn't go to <C> before)
    <E> - Power_Belt
    <L> - Long_Sword

    When you finish collecting items, you will have to go back to
    <Garden_of_Madness>, <H>-2. Remember that there was a platform you couldn't
    get to? Now you can reach it with Malphas ability.

    (Continue to <Garden_of_Madness>, <H>-2)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (Continued from <Demon_Guest_House>, <I> or <Subterranean_Hell_(2)>, <Q>)

    <C>-2
    Now you can pass the wall using the Puppet_Master[B] soul. Collect the
    High_Mind_Up if you haven't done so. Simply go to <D>.

    <D>
    This is a very large room and you will see some items you can't get now.
    While dropping down to the bottom you will meet a lot of enemies so be
    careful. Open up the gate by standing on the switch and proceed to the
    next area of the game, <Condemned_Tower>.

    <j>
    There is a hidden room above this room but you can't access it yet.
    Persephone[G] soul can be very useful when you are low on HP or when you
    want to absorb enemy's magic attacks. Take her soul and then torture her
    with her very own soul...OK, enough sexual harassment, go to <i>. *grins*

    <i>
    A cut scene ensues. You will receive Mina's_Talisman from Arikado. Advance
    to <h>.

    <h>
    Devil[G] soul will increase your attack dramatically, but will consume your
    HP constantly. If your HP is low, don't use it. Lilith will send out a heart
    and when you get in contact with it you will get cursed(status effect) and
    your MP will drain very quickly.

    You can expand your map clear rate and collect some items by visiting <T>
    and other small rooms, or you can simply proceed to <m>. You can stand on
    the chandelier. There is a save room to the right.

    <T>
    This room has same structure as <h>, so watch out for monsters and proceed.
    This is one of the best places to get the Valkyrie[G] soul. Killer_Clown[B]
    soul is useful if you can obtain it.

    If you want $2000 money bag go to <U>.
    If you want a new copy of UMA_News go to <b>.
    If you want a Crown go to <e>.

    There is a gate blocking your way to the room above, so when you finish
    collecting items go back to <h>.

    <X>
    You can go all the way only to find that the wall with a small hole is
    blocking your way again. Head back to <T>.

    <U>
    If you get hit by Killer Dolls you will get cursed and your MP will be
    depleted all. Pick up the $2000 money bag and get back to <T>.

    <b>
    Devil appears out of nowhere if you carelessly go towards Persephone. If you
    manage to kill Devil near Persephone she will...*cough*

    Well, pick up your copy of UMA_News_1-2 and get back to <T>.

    <e>
    There is a Crown hidden in this room. See Spoilers. Waiter_Skeleton[B] soul
    is very useful against some bosses so try to get at least one. Go back to
    <T>.

    <n>
    There is a $1000 money bag. Head back to <h>.

    <o>
    You can see a High_Mind_Up but the passage is blocked for now. Go back to
    <h>.

    <m>
    Simply proceed to <l>.

    <l>
    This is a sliding puzzle room. Bright coloured parts are the passages and
    you can pass through it. At first the passages lead you to top-left corner
    <c> which eventually leads to the boss. Top-right room <g> has an item and
    bottom-left passage <k> will lead you to <The_Lost_Village>. By solving the
    sliding puzzle and matching passages, you can visit them all. When you come
    back to <l> you can reset the puzzle and go through other passages as well.
    If you want 100% map completion, you will have to pass through all the
    rooms. You don't have to visit them all at once: come back to <l> and solve
    the puzzle again so you can visit the rooms you haven't visited later. The
    room with no number will have passages to four ways, so use it wisely. Some
    of the rooms contain items as well, so you will want to visit every room to
    make sure you didn't miss any of them. The list of rooms that have items
    goes as follows:

    1 - Cestus
    5 - Cutall
    8 - Turquoise_Stud
    9 - Justaucorps
    12 - Great_Sword

    When you finish collecting all the items and/or visited all rooms, proceed
    to <c>.

    <g>
    Another giant mirror here. Pick up the Ring_Mail and get back to the puzzle
    rooms.

    <k>
    You can go back to <The_Lost_Village> by going through here. You will be
    able to collect High_Potion from <The_Lost_Village>, <D>, if you go back.
    When you are done or don't want to go back for now, head back to <l>.

    <c>
    Lots of killers dolls are spotted. Be prepared not to get cursed. Simply
    advance to <Z>.

    <Z>
    If you want to collect some items head to <Y>.
    If you want to proceed the game then go to <a>.

    <Y>
    There are piano keys laid on the ground, and stepping on a key will play
    according note. What do you do with it? Play this:

    EDC(pause)DEFG(pause)AHCHAG(pause)AHCHA(jump)GAHCGFE

    Congratulations, you just played the first verse of Noel by jumping just
    once. What's your reward, you ask? Nothing. The keys are just there so you
    can have some fun with it. If you find some other songs you can play, DO NOT
    send it to me, since I am determined not to include more than one song in
    this guide(heh). Go to <V>.

    <V>
    This is the best room to collect Bone_Pillar[E] souls. If you kill about 6
    Bone Pillars from the first column, step on the first column, kill about 2
    from the next column, step on it, then you can access <O>. When you fall,
    make a passage to <Y> as quickly as possible and get back to <Y>.

    <O>
    Break the ice blocks to make your way to the top of the room. you will find
    UMA_News_2-4 and a War_Fatigues. Get back all the way to <Z>.

    <a>
    Buer[G] soul provides a good guard when maxed out. Go to <W>.

    <W>
    If you want a High_Potion then drop down to <d>. Note that you can't get the
    High_Potion in <d> if you enter the room from <a>. When you are done, head
    to <Q>.

    <d>
    Quickly pick up the High_Potion on the ground and get back to <W> before
    the Killer Dolls wake up and chase after you.

    <Q>
    There is a portal to the left. Watch out for Devil since it doesn't show
    itself until you get close to it. Get to <M> through either <P> or <R>.

    <P>
    Nothing special here. Simply advance to <M>.

    <R>
    Nothing special here. Simply advance to <M>.

    <M>
    Lots of enemies will leave you almost no space. Try to avoid them if your
    HP is running low. Go to <L>.

    If you want to pick up another copy of UMA_News go to <N>.
    Otherwise go to <J>.

    <L>
    Pick up the Magic_Seal_3 and get back to <M>.

    <N>
    Pick up the UMA News 2-2 and get back to <M>.

    <J>
    To the right is a save room. Save and prepare for another boss battle.

    <I>
    ================================
    == Boss Fight : Puppet Master ==
    ================================

    *Attacks*

    1. It shoots out many small floating dolls from its mouth.
    2. It creates an puppet on one of its hands, tries to place it in an
       iron maiden and switch you into that iron maiden.

    *Strategy*

    You should know where to attack. Suggested weapon is again the ones that
    can attack overhead. The giant head in the centre is the weak point, but you
    should check one of its hands when it makes weird noise. If you see a puppet
    in its hand, destroy it quickly or you will receive huge damage. You will
    have to hit the puppet twice(in normal mode. In hard mode you have to hit it
    four times) regardless of the damage you inflict: hit it fast with second
    set of weapon or start bashing it early. Puppet Master itself doesn't attack
    you and you will not get hurt by bumping into its body part unlike you do
    with other bosses. If you have Rycuda[B] soul then those annoying floating
    dolls can be easily destroyed. Equip souls that can attack upwards too, such
    as Mandragora[B], Axe_Armor[B], Spin_Devil[G] or even Hell_Boar[B]. If you
    are focusing on physical attacks then the Golem[E] soul is recommended,
    while the Lilith[E] soul is a better choice when you want your magic attacks
    to be more powerful. This boss can be tough at first but take your time to
    observe its attack patterns, and you will have your victory eventually. You
    will gain the Puppet_Master[B] soul once you defeat the boss.

    Now that you have the Puppet_Master[B] soul, you are given a bit of freedom
    to choose next area to go. You can also collect the High_Mind_Up in <o> now
    but you will have to either climb back a long way to a portal or walk a long
    way to go to the next area, so go back for it later.

    If you...
    * want to be able to swim in the water
    * want an easier route
    * want to level up a bit
    * feeling a bit adventurous and want to explore the castle

    then your next area should be <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>. To get to
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>, go to <The_Dark_Chapel>, <S> and use the
    Puppet_Master[B] soul to pass the wall. Open the door, and you will be in
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>. (Skip to <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>)

    If you...
    * want to be able to shoot a giant laser beam
    * are confident in your skills
    * don't want to waste time
    * ready to fight harder bosses right now

    then you want to go to <Condemned_Tower>. To get to <Condemned_Tower>,
    go to <The_Dark_Chapel>, <C>-2.

    You can always go back and forth to the other paths, although doing so will
    waste some time.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (Continued from <The_Pinnacle>, <V>)

    <S>
    Persephones will greet you here. Advance to <G>.

    <G>
    This room has a same structure as <T> or <h> but has more powerful monsters.
    Step on the switch on the bottom floor to open a passage to <T>. Go to <E>.

    <K>
    This is the best place to collect the Mimic[E] soul. Go back to <G>.

    <H>
    What is this room? Nearly all female characters in the game can be found
    here(but not every one of them). Since being a vampire WOULD attract the
    opposite sex, this makes sense...no? (heh) Collect some souls here or get
    back to <G>.

    <F>
    Here you will find an Iron Golem. No matter what weapons or souls you use,
    you will only inflict damage of 1 only. The fastest way (not the most
    effective, mind you) to kill this monster is to use the Imp[B] soul, which
    changes the HP and MP of the monster. Equip a weapon that will attack very
    fast or that allows you to attack from a distance if you don't want to get
    hurt. Souls that work as a mine also works great. If you can't get its soul
    after hours of labour, don't worry: you are among many frustrated soul
    collectors. Iron Golem would not give up its soul easily. You also need its
    soul to synthesize weapons as well, so you will need at least two if you
    want to have synthesized weapons and 100% of souls. The horror! Think of
    the children, Konami!

    Get back to <G>.

    <E>
    You have seen those pink walls with monsters engraved on them, right?
    If you are still not sure about what to do, refer to the Spoiler section
    of this guide. Lots of candle holders are found, so fill up your MP and
    advance to <D>.

    <D>
    Be ready for another tough boss battle. Enter <C>.

    <C>
    When you walk in front of the mirror, the boss will appear from inside of
    the mirror.

    ===============================
    == Boss Fight : Paranoia (1) ==
    ===============================

    *Attacks*

    1. It follows you and draws a knife at you.
    2. It goes inside of the mirror, manipulates the four small mirrors placed
       on each corner of the room and shoots a laser beam. The small mirrors
       will flash in an order such that they reflect the beam.

    *Strategy*

    This boss is easy comparing to what's waiting in the next room. Hack away
    with your weapon, back dash to dodge its knife attack and duck to avoid
    the laser beam. You will have to place yourself well when you duck,
    otherwise the beam could hit you. Look for the order the mirrors flash and
    try to position yourself between the beams or use the Bat_Company[G] soul to
    stay in the mid-air to avoid the laser beam. When you finish the boss, the
    door to <B> opens. Enter <B> and you will fight the second form of the boss.

    <B>
    ===============================
    == Boss Fight : Paranoia (2) ==
    ===============================

    *Attacks*

    1. It hovers above you for a while and kicks downward.
    2. It goes inside of the mirror, manipulates the four small mirrors placed
       on each corner of the room and shoots a laser beam two times. The small
       mirrors will flash in an order such that they reflect the beam.

    *Strategy*

    Nothing much has changed except the size of the boss and the fact that it
    will shoot larger laser beam, two times. You will want to use the
    Bat_Company[G] soul to avoid the laser beam this time. Do not jump when it
    is staying above you: wait(or attack upward) and lure it down to attack.
    Weapons that swing above your head or souls that will shoot upward will
    help. Using the Ukoback[B] soul is also fun thing to do. When you defeat it,
    you will get the Paranoia[B] soul which will allow you to enter the mirrors.

    Now you have ability to go into the mirrors, you can go back to the rooms
    with giant mirrors and find items. First, go to <A> to collect the
    Orlox's Suit and don't forget that the first room that you fought with small
    Paranoia also has a giant mirror on the wall.

    <A>
    Find the Orlox's_Suit. Get back to <The_Pinnacle>, <W>. You can also
    backtrack a little to find other items in the mirrors.

    (Continue to <The_Pinnacle>, <W>)

    <K>
    Nothing here, simply proceed to <L>.

    <L>
    Draghignazzo will attack you suddenly from mid air. Wait for its signal to
    attack (it stops hovering around) and dodge then attack it. There is
    Tastey_Meat on the top of the room but you can't reach it yet. Go to <B>-8.

    <B>-8
    Nothng here but candles. Advance to <J>.

    <J>
    If you want another cut scene, go to <M>. Otherwise pick up a Mind_Up and
    head upward. Take a Silver_Stud and go to <B>-7.

    <M>
    There are a certain condition that you can miss the cut scene, but don't
    worry about it and enjoy it now(revealing that condition will spoil the
    story for you). After it's done head back to <J>.

    <B>-7
    Disc Armor can be tough if your level is low or your HP is running low. The
    best strategy here is getting close to it: crouch before it and attack
    there. When it hurls the disc out, jump over it and keep doing the routine.
    You won't get hurt this way. Did I mention that this is the best room to
    collect the Disc_Armor[B] soul? It will disappear once you defeat the boss
    of this area, however. Make your way to <I>.

    <I>
    More Disc Armors are spotted on the way top. Try avoiding the discs and
    keep attacking. You can also just ignore them and proceed. Go to <B>-6.

    <B>-6
    Fleaman is weak but it can be annoying. Weapons or souls that have wide
    attack range or familiars are your best friend here. Head to <H>.

    <H>
    Find your way to the top and go to <B>-5.

    <B>-5
    Two Fleamen are found here. Make your way to <G>.

    <G>
    Giant Axe Armor looks scary, but it is nothing you can't handle. The best
    way to fight it is, again, getting close to it. Crouch right before it and
    attack. When it swings that giant axe of it you will not get hurt. Pick up
    an Estoc from the top of the room and go to <B>-4.

    <B>-4
    Nothng here but candles. Advance to <F>.

    <F>
    Werewolf could be tough at this time. Attack it a couple of times, pull
    back and let it attack you, dodge the attack, and then attack again. The
    Skeleton Ape here can throw your guard off so be careful. Go to <B>-3.

    <B>-3
    Jump over or kill the Buer and make your way to <D>.

    <D>
    You will find Buer charing at you once you stand on the slanted ground so
    be sure to dodge it. If you want yet another copy of UMA_News go to the
    top of the room(avoiding another Buer here) and pick it up. Go to <B>-2.

    <E>
    There is nothing you can do here now. Get back to <D>.

    <B>-2
    Yet another Giant Axe Armor is found here. Slay it(or avoid it) as
    described earlier and go to <C>.

    <C>
    Kill those hopping little Fleamen and proceed to the top of the room. Be
    sure to find a save room to the right, and prepare for one of the hardest
    boss battles of the game. Take a deep breath, and when you are ready, go
    into <B>-1.

    <B>-1
    Soon after you enter the room, the boss will wake up and start attacking.

    ==========================
    == Boss Fight : Gergoth ==
    ==========================

    *Attacks*

    1. It takes a couple of steps either forward or backward.
    2. It raises its head, inhales deeply and crushes its head down to the
       ground.
    3. It crouches, then shoots out clouds of gas. They could be either
       Petrification (gray) or poison (purple).
    4. It backs up a couple of steps to the end of the room, crouches for a
       brief moment, and makes a giant leap towards you.
    5. It gathers up the energy around its mouth and shoots out a giant laser
       beam.

    *Strategy*

    Welcome to one of the hardest boss fights. Again, equip weapons that can
    swing overhead. Manticore[G], Skull_Archer[G] or any other familiars will
    help, but you won't get to use Bullet souls much here, unless you are using
    Amalaric_Sniper[B] with Skull_Archer[G] or mine-like souls such as
    Waiter_Skeleton[B] or Une[B]. Your main strategy involves a lot of ducking
    and slicing. You will want to stay below the boss's head mostly, since that
    is the best place to dodge most of its attacks. Do not get in contact with
    its body, since you will be severely punished for doing so.

    To dodge attack 1, simply duck below its head and keep attacking. There are
    two ways to dodge attack 2. First, if you have enough room, then when it
    starts to inhale, get as far away as possible and (if necessary)
    jump/double jump. Alternatively, you can try to get as close as possible to
    its feet and when you see it stops breathing (there is a brief moment
    between it stops inhaling and slams its head down to the ground) duck
    quickly and you won't get hit by its head. Attack 3 is easily dodged since
    you have an obvious sign and you can even repel the gas by attacking it.
    It is hard to dodge attack 4: when you see it back up and crouch, get very
    close to its head. Then when it jumps, slide under it. Attack 5 is also
    easily dodged: get right next to its feet and duck. Don't forget to attack
    constantly while doing so.

    In the middle of the battle, its face will peel off and it will start to
    scream, madly walk around, then jump only to break the floor and fall.
    While falling you can take some free shots at the boss. However when you
    land you will get hit by its body so stay away after making some blows
    (remember the number of floors you passed?). Or do the double jump kick
    since it will cause a good amount of damage upon landing and you will be
    safe. You can torture it with double jump kick over and over too...*ahem*
    When you land, the boss will get crushed into the ground so you can have
    more free shots, but it will recover soon. You will see the chain on its
    feet will break open, and basically its attack speed is increased. The
    patterns are same however, so watch out and you will emerge victorious
    eventually. You will be rewarded with the Gergoth[G] soul which is a giant
    laser beam the boss used.

    When you finished the boss, climb all the way back to <C>-2.

    <C>-2
    Have the Flying_Armor[G] soul ready and enter <B>.

    <B>
    Step on the little ledge, double jump and use the Flying_Armor[G] soul to
    get to the other side of the room. The exit leads to <A>.

    <A>
    Pick up the Tower_Key here, activate the portal on the left. At this time
    you have yet another choice to make.

    If you haven't gotten Rahab ability and...
    * want to be able to swim in the water
    * want an easier way
    * want to level up a bit
    * feeling a bit adventurous and want to explore the castle

    then your next area should be <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>. To get to
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>, go to <The_Dark_Chapel>, <S> and use
    Puppet_Master[B] to pass the wall. Open the door, and you will be in
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>. (Skip to <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>)

    If you...
    * want to stop the time
    * are confident in your skills
    * don't want to waste time wandering the castle
    * ready to fight a (somewhat) harder boss right now
    * have either Tombstone[E] soul or Rycuda[B] soul (not necessary but
      recommended)

    then you want to go to <Cursed_Clock_Tower>. To get to <Cursed_Clock_Tower>,
    head back to <E>-2.

    <E>-2
    Now that you have the Tower_Key, you can open the blue door here. Advance
    to the game's next area, <Cursed_Clock_Tower>.

    <V>
    Another cut scene ensues. When it's done, go to <U>. Note that if you come
    back to this room there are Harpies waiting for you.

    <U>
    Medusa Heads are very annoying here. Blue one will just hit you but yellow
    one will petrify you. When you are stoned(get it? heh) you will receive
    more damage than usual so try to shake it off quickly. They are found in a
    lot of rooms in <Cursed_Clock_Tower>. If you have Tombstone[E], Rycuda[B]
    or leveled up Buer[G] soul now's the time to shed some light on them.

    There's another statue with "573" engraved on it. You know what to do.

    If you want to collect some more items and expand your map then go to <a>.
    If you want to proceed the game then go to <T>.

    <W>
    Find a Shaman_Ring inside this room and get back to <V>.

    <a>
    Time it right and hop from a pendulum to a pendulum. You can also use
    either Barbariciia[G] or Valkyrie[G] souls if you have enough MP to support
    them, but you will take damage when you come back to a normal state. The
    exit will lead you to <c>.

    <c>
    If you want to get an Army_Jacket head to <Z>.
    If you want to go back to <Garden_of_Madness> and get a Handgun then go to
    <b>.

    <Z>
    Imp will sometimes control you and you could end up doing nothing but
    attacking for a while. Destroy them before it happens. Just slay the
    monsters here and make your way to <Y>.

    <Y>
    The room looks very busy with all the gears and springs along with lots of
    flying Medusa Heads. You can stand on the gears. Find your way to <X>.

    <X>
    Simply pick up the Army_Jacket and head back to <c>.

    <b>
    Malachi can be tough with its giant rolling ball attack and whatnot.
    Remember Dmitrii was using its attack? Thought it was cool? If you can
    snatch its soul you can use same attack too. Go to <e>.

    <e>
    Tanjelly will poison you once you get in contact with it. Dead_Pirate is
    slow so kill it fast and proceed to <d>.

    <d>
    The room looks very busy with all the gears and springs along with lots of
    flying Medusa Heads. You can stand on the gears. Find your way to the door
    on the bottom left of the room which leads you to <Garden_of_Madness>.

    (Continue to <Garden_of_Madness>, <C>)

    <T>
    Giant pistons are pumping up and down and you will see blood stains on some
    of them, and will also notice some of them have no bloods. There are spikes
    on the ceiling as well. Also notice that stained ones go all the way up
    but clean ones don't. What you have to do is this: run to the clean ones,
    wait and duck until it's safe to cross the rest of the way and run like
    wind. If you are not quick enough and you are sure that you will take some
    damage, at least have the Mimic[E] soul equipped and you can earn some money
    off of your damage here...(heh) Go to <R>.

    <R>
    When you drop down all the way to the bottom of the room, try to get close
    to left wall of the room to avoid spikes on the floor. Find a save room on
    your left and get back up to the top of the room to proceed to <S>.

    <S>
    Spinning spikes are very annoying as well as they are lethal. The first and
    the second ones are spinning fast, so move quickly but try not to touch
    them. The 3rd, 4th and 5th ones are easy to pass. When you go all the way
    to the right of this room, you will have to get on the floor and come back
    all the way back to proceed to <M>. This time, it will be harder to avoid
    3rd one from left. Use the Puppet_Master[B] soul to bypass it.

    Alternatively you can simply equip the Skeleton_Ape[E] soul, double jump,
    use the Puppet_Master[B] soul and pass first two spinning spikes to go to
    <M>. This way will required more precise timing, however, if you don't want
    to get hurt.

    <M>
    Don't worry, those pendulums will not hurt you, even though they will push
    you to the sides of the room or, if you are standing on a lower pendulum,
    push you off from where you stand. You will want to take care of Imps first.

    If you want a Scale_Mail go to <Q>. Otherwise start climbing the pendulums
    and go to <N>.

    <Q>
    Note that there's yet another giant mirror here. Pick up the Scale_Mail
    and get back to <M>.

    <N>
    Find Magic_Seal_4 on the ground, kill the Bugbear and advance to <K>.

    <K>
    Drop down all the way to find a copy of UMA_News_3-3. Watch out for
    Medusa Heads and climb your way to <J>.

    <J>
    Take care of the Slime and (if you want to) The Tanjelly. You have to get
    to <D> through either <I> or <F>. There is Konami_Man hidden in this room
    (see Spoilers).

    If You'd rather deal with Medusa Heads than spinning spikes, head to <F>.
    If you prefer spinning spikes to those flying annoyances, spin towards <I>.
    (very cheap pun intended)

    <I>
    This is your usual clock tower room with gears and Medusa Heads. Climb your
    way to top of the room. The exit there will lead you to <D>.

    <F>
    The spinning spikes here are not as bad as the ones you faced before. You
    will have no problem finding your way to the top of the room. Use the
    Puppet_Master[B] soul when needed. Hop to <D>.

    <D>
    Take care of Imps here. Get a ride on the giant pendulum and when it swings
    to the right end, jump over to the ledges, and go to <C>.

    <C>
    Find a save room on your right, and prepare for yet another boss battle.
    See Spoilers to find the Flying_Humanoid[G] soul in this room.

    <B>
    When you enter the room, time will briefly freeze and the boss will appear.

    =========================
    == Boss Fight : Zephyr ==
    =========================

    *Attacks*

    1. He charges at you and when he gets close enough to you, he swings his
       set of knives.
    2. He throws a knife at you.
    3. He gathers up energy, stops time, jumps over you setting knives in an
       arc and resumes time. If you attack him while he is pausing, he will
       charge at you like pattern 1.
    4. He jumps to ceiling and kicks off the ceiling while throwing a knife
       at you. If he comes across another wall while he performs this attack, he
       will kick off the wall again, throwing a knife at you again.

    *Strategy*

    This is a fairly tough boss at first. When he is charging at you simply
    double jump over him. His knife can be knocked off if you attack it with
    your weapon. When he is gathering up the energy to stop the time and you
    attack him, it will be hard to dodge his attack since you won't have enough
    time. Notice that if you get far from him while he gathers up the energy he
    will stop pausing and either charge at you or will start walking towards you
    again. After he freezes time and jumps over you to set the knives in the
    mid-air, find a space between the knives to avoid them or knock them off
    with your weapon or soul. You will want to hit him fast with weapons such
    as the one from short swords series or katana series, but anything that
    swings over your head is recommended if you find his knives from mid-air
    hard to dodge. You will receive the Zephyr[B] soul upon defeating the boss.

    Proceed to <A>.

    <A>
    Find and activate a portal on your left. Now you path forks again.

    If you haven't gotten Rahab ability then now's time to visit
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>. To get to <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>, go to
    <The_Dark_Chapel>, <S> and use Puppet_Master[B] to pass the wall. Open the
    door, and you will be in <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>.
    (Skip to <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>)

    If you have the Bat_Company[G] soul then you can go to <The_Pinnacle>. Go
    to <D>-2.

    <D>-2
    Now you can break the wall down by standing on a switch here. Go to <E>.

    <E>
    Watch out for the Medusa Heads and drop down to the bottom left of the room.
    Exit to <H>.

    <H>
    Watch out for the Medusa Heads and drop down to the bottom. Exit to <G>.

    <G>
    There is a passage filled with spikes and you will be able to pass through
    it using the Bat_Company[G] soul. Proceed to <L>.

    <L>
    Watch out for the spikes. You can simply stay in the bat form and head down.
    Go to <Q>.

    <Q>
    There is a Devil in the middle of the room. Take care of it or ignore it,
    and advance to <P>.

    <P>
    Lots of Harpies are found here. This is Probably the best place to get the
    Harpy[G] soul. Beyond the door lies the next area of the game,
    <The_Pinnacle>.

    ===============================================================================

    <A>
    Get rid of Dead Pirates and find a save room on the bottom right. Save and
    go to <B>.

    <B>
    Watch out for Cave Troll. Eliminate enemies here and be prepared for
    another boss fight.

    <C>
    ========================
    == Boss Fight : Rahab ==
    ========================

    *Attacks*

    1. It stands out straight and shoots out ice which will form platforms
       upon hitting the surface of the water in the room.
    2. It jumps over your head in an arc, setting icicles in mid-air. Those
       icicles will drop down to the water.
    3. It shoots itself out of the water vertically and dives back into water.
    4. It swims around, trying to hit you in the water.

    *Strategy*

    This is going to be a very easy fight. All of its attacks are easy to
    dodge, and you have plenty of room to maneuver so I will not go over the
    details. To avoid icicles, simply get in the space between two falling
    icicles. It is very easy to hit the boss while it is out of water. Follow
    the bubbles when the boss is submerged and you can expect where the boss
    will initiate its next attack. The platform that the boss will create is of
    no use for you: they will break soon, and you are better off attacking the
    boss while it doesn't attack you under water anyways. Killer_Clown[B],
    Malachi[B] or leveled up Cave_Troll[B] will make good range attacks, while
    Disc_Armor[B], Guillotiner[B] and such will help you in more melee-attack
    oriented combat. Familiars will help too since they can attack the boss
    while it is submerged and out of your weapon attack range. You will want to
    attack the boss fast while it is out of water. Finish the fight quickly to
    obtain Rahab ability, which allows you to move underwater.

    Go back and save if you want. Now you can 'swim' by pressing jump button in
    the water. Go to <D>.

    <D>
    A bunch of new marine creatures are found here. Merman is weak but it can
    be bothersome if left unattended. Fish Head is just like the Bone Pillar in
    the water. Decarabia is just like Buer in the water. So much for 'new'
    enemies, eh? Drop down to <H>.

    <H>
    This is a very large room with lots of items to collect. Orchestrate your
    swimming so you won't get hit by Needles or Fish Heads. Refer to the map in
    this guide and collect a Chain_Mail, a High_Mind_Up, a Rusty_Food_Tin and a
    $2000 money bag. Killer_Fish[B] soul is one of the best souls to use in the
    water. When you are done, find your way to <K>.

    <K>
    Prepare to take a hit by Needles while dropping down to the bottom of the
    room, unless you have the Killer_Fish[B] soul, leveled up Buer[G] soul or
    anything that can protect you. Once dropped down to the bottom floor, try
    to take out Needles first and make your way to <L>.

    <L>
    Procel will give you yet another ability, Procel(duh). It will let you move
    in the water as fast as you would do on the ground. This room is not the
    best place to get its soul but if you are either not good at control or
    simply frustrated by the resistance you have when you are in the water then
    get its soul here. Proceed to <J>.

    <J>
    Frozen Shade is found here. She will attack you with three giant icicles
    but they will fall if you attack them. Frozen_Shade[B] soul is a decent
    Bullet-Type soul. Go to <I>.

    <M>
    There is a gate blocking your way. Go back to <J>.

    <G>
    There is nothing but Ring-the-Bell like seesaw and three bells. You can get
    some potions in this room(see Spoilers). Go back to <J>.

    <I>
    This is the only place in the castle where you will find Alura_Une. Her
    soul could be very useful depending on a situation, and you can have another
    soul combo with this soul and the Une[B] soul. She is weak against fire
    attacks, so it is suggested that you come back when you get powerful fire
    souls later, but if you are lucky enough you will get her soul right away.
    Make your way to <R>.

    <R>
    Pick up the money bag located on the bottom left corner of the room. If you
    want to go back to <Garden_of_Madness> and collect some items and complete
    the map, go to <P>. Otherwise, exit to <Q>.

    <P>
    Ukoback sets fire in the mid-air. You can attack it to make it disappear.
    Go to <F>.

    <F>
    Bone ark will shoot out an energy ball that will explode. If you kill the
    big skull that's carried by the skeletons first then the skeletons will run
    toward you. Find a save room on your right and go up to <E>.

    <E>
    Just eliminate enemies here and open the door. You will find yourself in
    <Garden_of_Madness> again.

    (Continue to <Garden_of_Madness>, <Y>)

    <Q>
    On your left is a portal. If you don't have the Zephyr[B] soul now, then
    proceeding from this point is not recommended. Your path will be eventually
    blocked and you will have to go back to find the Zephyr[B] soul later and
    come back. The portal here will make your return trip easier.

    If you...
    * don't care about what this guide suggests
    * are enjoying the game at your own pace
    * want to collect Eversing(a good piece of armor from Castlevania: Aria of
    Sorrow) and some mushrooms
    * want to visit Wizardry_Lab_(2) early
    * already have the Zephyr[B] soul

    then go to <V>.

    If you...
    * do care about what this guide suggests (thank you! :D)
    * want to be able to shoot a giant laser beam
    * want to proceed the game without wandering around the castle too much
    * don't have the Zephyr[B] soul

    then you want to go to <Condemned_Tower>. To get to <Condemned_Tower>,
    go to <The_Dark_Chapel>, <C>-2.

    <V>
    This is the best place to get Procel ability, although now it is not as
    useful as it could have been if you had it earlier. Find a Mushroom and
    go to <U>.

    <U>
    Nothing special here. Simply advance to <T>.

    <T>
    Drop down all the way to the bottom to find a save room on your right. If
    you go out of top left exit, you will able to find Eversing through
    hidden room eventually. If you take the bottom left exit, you can collect
    a bunch of Mushrooms.

    <O>
    Watch out for Medusa Heads here. If you are from top left exit of <T>,
    proceed to the platform where you see a Devil, double jump to the left and
    do the kick to down-left direction or swing your weapon. You will brake the
    wall beyond the waterfall and will find Eversing in <S>. If you are from
    lower exit of <T>, make your way upward and you will find Mushrooms and an
    Amanita. Amanita is not edible unless you have the Ghoul[E] soul. You know
    why you shouldn't just pick up wild mushrooms and eat them, right? I will
    give you a hint: you will grow mustache, grow double your size and will be
    able to smash blocks in your way...(heh)

    Now you have another decision to make. If you want to visit
    <Wizardry_Lab_(2)>, which is completely irrelevant to the storyline but is
    important because of the items and souls you can collect, you can go to <W>
    through <X>. However you will need a certain soul (or combination of souls)
    to cross the path there.

    Otherwise you will want to go to <Y>, which leads you to <Silenced_Ruins>.

    <S>
    Pick up the Eversing on the ground and get back to <O>.

    <Y>
    Kill the enemies here and proceed to the door. You will enter the next area
    of the game, <Silenced_Ruins>.

    <X>
    Nothing special here, just kill the enemies and proceed to <W>.

    <W>
    See Spoilers to find out ways to cross this room. <Wizardry_Lab_(2)> awaits
    you beyond the door.

    ===============================================================================

    <D>
    As soon as you enter the room the cannon in the room fires. Then the time
    stops and you can't proceed any farther. To restore the time flow here, you
    will need the Zephyr[B] soul. Use it and you will be able to advance to <E>.

    <E>
    Did you notice the music? It's the Vampire Hunter! Even the enemy setup is
    somewhat similar to that of the NES version of the first Castlevania, with
    Ghouls and whatnot. Who agrees with me that Konami should have put
    Black Panther here to complete the Castlevania 1 feel? (heh) Feel the
    nostalgia and go to <F>.

    <F>
    This room is filled with skeleton themed enemies. If you want to collect a
    Rare_Ring, head to <J>. Otherwise you will want to go to <L> through either
    <K> or <N>.

    <J>
    There is a small energy ball moving around inside ice blocks. See Spoilers
    to find out a way to pass. Watch out for the Devil and collect the
    Rare_Ring. Go back to <F>.

    <K>
    The gas cloud that Gorgon breathes out will petrify you, so watch out. Go
    to <L>.

    <N>
    Dead Crusader will most likely block your attacks. The Amalaric_Sniper[B]
    soul will catch it off guard. You can also set the Ukoback[B] soul and lure
    it into taking damage. Using the Zephyr[B] soul could be one way of taking
    it down as well. Advance to <L>.

    <L>
    If you want to collect an item or want to open the gate to
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>, exit to <B>.
    If you want to activate a portal then go to <O>.
    If you want to find a save room or want to fight with the boss exit to <M>.

    <B>
    There is a chair found on the bottom floor. Larva is a little bit annoying,
    but you can take it out easily.

    If you want a Mana_Prism go to <A>.
    If you want to collect the Waiter_Skeleton[B] soul or open the gate to
    <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>, then go to <C>.
    Otherwise head back to <L>.

    <A>
    Yet another giant mirror is found here. Watch out for the Ghouls, pick up
    the Mana_Prism and get back to <B>.

    <C>
    This is the best room to collect the Waiter_Skeleton[B] soul. As you level
    the soul up, the dish you can throw will get larger. You can also go beyond
    the door and open the gate in <Subterranean_Hell_(1)>, <J>. When you are
    done, go back to <B>.

    <O>
    Note that if you kill the dog that Dead Mate sends out, you will not get
    his soul(in other words, you have to kill the master first). Find a portal
    to your right, activate it and get back to <L>.

    <M>
    A cut scene is shown. If you come back to this room later, a Dead Mate and
    Ghouls will be waiting. This is the best room to collect Dead_Mate[B] soul
    since Ghouls are the only other monsters that are found in this room.

    <G>
    Find a save room on your right, head up and exit to <H>.

    <H>
    This room looks a little bit busy with all the enemies. Watch out for the
    bats since you can't spot them easily sometimes. Proceed to the right and
    break the seal at the end of the corridor. You will face yet another boss,
    Bat Company.

    <I>
    As you enter the room, a group of bats will form a giant bat figure.
    Basically this is an another form of regular giant bat bosses we've fought
    in Castlevania series.

    ==============================
    == Boss Fight : Bat Company ==
    ==============================

    *Attacks*

    1. The bats form a giant bat figure.
    2. The bats form a hand. The hand will slowly reach to you and will
       try to grab you.
    3. The bats take a Moai figure(this is a parody of one of the enemies
       found in Konami's own Gradius series) and shoot circle lasers forward.

    *Strategy*

    This is a relatively easy boss considering that this boss appears later in
    the game. You have powerful enough weapons and souls to defeat it(them?)
    quickly. The first form is easy to deal with: the giant bat will move
    towards you two times, each time with certain time interval, so simply
    double jump over it. The second form could be lethal: avoid contact with
    the hand figure since you will get hit multiple times. A Moai head figure
    will attack with...you guessed it, the circle laser that the enemy is known
    for. You can swing your weapon or use souls to repel them. Generally this
    boss should not cause you too much trouble. Malachi[B], Mandragora[B],
    well-timed Frozen_Shade[B] or Ukoback[B] souls can help, but you will mostly
    want to attack the boss head on with help of your Guardian souls. You will
    receive the Bat_Comapny[G] soul when you easily walk out of this fight with
    your victory.

    Now that you have the Bat_Company[G] soul, you can do a lot of stuff.
    You can...

    *explore the rest of the castle, finding some items you have missed or
     simply completing the map.

    *pay a visit to <Wizardry_Lab_(2)> if you haven't been to there. This area
     is not related to the storyline but you can collect some items and souls.
     You also have to have required soul(s) to cross the path to there. If this
     is what you want to do, head to <Subterranean_Hell_(2)>, <O>.

    (Continue to <Subterranean_Hell_(2)>, <O>)

    *proceed to the next area, <The_Pinnacle>. If you intend to do so, you
     should head to <Cursed_Clock_Tower>, <A>.

    (Continue to <Cursed_Clock_Tower>, <A>)

    ===============================================================================

    <U>
    This is the top of the castle. The end is near, so be alert. As you enter
    the room you will see Yoko standing before you. Don't get tricked, since
    this is just a Succubus in disguise. Her soul can be used not just against
    the enemies but also onto candle holders(glitch?). Advance to <T>.

    <T>
    If your HP is low and you need to find a save room quickly, go through <S>
    to <W>. You can take another route through <X> and <Z> to get to <W>.

    <X>
    This is one of the best places to get the Werewolf[G] soul. Drop down to
    <Z> if you want to just pass or if you already have its soul.

    <Z>
    Flame Demon makes its appearance here. Its soul is powerful and can be used
    in a combination with the Bat_Company[G] soul. Watch out for the Werewolf
    and find the way to <W>.

    <W>
    Find a save room by going through the top right exit. This is where your
    path forks yet again.

    If you want to activate a portal or collect an item, go to <Y>.
    If you want to see a normal ending, go to <S>.
    If you want to be able to go into the giant mirrors and/or want alternative
    endings but haven't been to <Demon_Guest_House>, <B>, then go to <V>.
    If you want to see alternative endings and have already been to
    <Demon_Guest_House>, <B>, go to <S>.

    You can see all the endings even if you finish the game and save it, so
    it is suggested that you see a normal ending first.

    <Y>
    Do not drop down all the way to the bottom of the room since you will get
    hit by a Dead Warrior. Break a floor to find a hidden room <a> below.
    Activate a portal on the top left and get back to <W>.

    <a>
    Pick up the Truffle on the ground and get back to <Y>.

    <V>
    You will not get fooled by lots of Yokos here now, will you? Kill them,
    pass through them with the Valkyrie[G] soul and such, or jump over them.
    Open the door and you will find yourself in <Demon_Guest_House> again.

    (Continue to Demon_Guest_House>, <S>)

    <S>
    Dead Warriors will just go back and forth so it is easy to take care of
    them. Mushussu is just a powered up version of Manticore but it could
    poison you so be careful. Make our way to <O>.

    <O>
    Lots of Guillotiners are found here. Go up the shaft and exit to <E>.

    <E>
    There is a breakable wall on the left. Go inside the hidden room to find
    the Durandal. When dropping down to the right of the first pillar, watch
    out for a Werewolf on the bottom floor. Find your way to <M>.

    <H>
    Find the Durandal on the ground and get back to <E>.

    <M>
    This is one of the best places to get the Guillotiner[B] soul since you can
    replenish the enemy easily. You will also find an Alastor here. This is the
    only place you can find it if you aim to see a normal ending only. You will
    also notice that reflenishing a Mushussu is easy here by dropping down to
    <P> and double jump back to this room. Take the Mana_Prism.

    If you want to face a Final Guard, which is a tough enemy, go to <P>.
    Otherwise just go to <J>.

    <P>
    Nothing here, just advance to <Q>.

    <Q>
    Final Guard will not go down easily. You can simply fly over them if you
    want. Taking it down from behind is a good tactic too. Try lots of different
    souls and find a best way that will work for you. Go to <R>.

    <J>
    This room has very similar structure and the enemy set to <E>. Pick up
    the Lance at the end and get to <R>.

    <R>
    Lots of Werewolves are found here. Take care of them or ignore them, then
    head to <N>.

    <N>
    There are nothing but statues are here. Break them to find either hearts or
    some coins and go to <N>.

    <K>
    If you want to fight a Final Guard over three Treasure Chests, go to <G>.
    Otherwise watch out for the Flame Demon and go to <J>. This is one of the
    best places to collect its soul as well as the Werewolf[G] soul, since a
    save room is near.

    <G>
    Final Guard will not go down easily. You can simply fly over them if you
    want. Taking it down from behind is a good tactic too. Try lots of different
    souls and find a best way that will work for you. If your MP is running low
    while trying to collect its soul, fill up some MP using the candle holders.
    After collecting the money here, go back to <K>.

    <J>-2
    Watch out for those Dead Warriors and simply advance to <L>.

    <L>
    Nothing special here. Find a save room on the left and head upward to <I>.

    <I>
    This room is the best place to collect the Bugbear[E] soul. The
    Amalaric_Sniper[B] soul or souls that move forward will help a lot. Go to
    <E>-2 when you are done.

    <E>-2
    Nothing but the stair. Are you ready for the final battle(for the normal
    ending)? Proceed to <D>.

    <F>
    Final Guard will not go down easily. You can simply fly over them if you
    want. Taking it down from behind is a good tactic too. Try lots of different
    souls and find a best way that will work for you. A save room is near, so
    use it while you are collecting its soul and your HP or MP is running low.
    After collecting the money here, go back to <E>-2.

    <D>
    There is a hidden room above this room. Break the ceiling to find a hidden
    Room, <C>. When you are ready to fight the boss, go into <B>.

    <C>
    Find a Fragarach and a Satan's_Ring here and get back to <D>.

    <B>
    Depending on the ending you want to see, you will have to fight different
    bosses. For the normal ending, you have to fight...

    ========================
    == Boss Fight : Dario ==
    ========================

    *Attacks*

    1. He shoots out three small fireballs from his palm.
    2. He smashes down the floor to cause a flame wave.
    3. He raises both his hands to create three pillars of flame.
    4. He teleports to random place in the room.
    5. He lets out two flame dragons that will form a sideways 8.

    *Strategy*

    He is the last boss of a normal ending route. Sadly, he only has one new
    attack and even it is easy to dodge. His fireball attack is also upgraded
    but keep the distance and you will be able to dodge them easily. When he
    shoots out the flame dragons, simply find a space between them and stand
    there to avoid them. Recall the first fight with him and you will emerge
    victorious fairly easily.

    Congratulations! You just beat the game. Enjoy the ending and staff credits.
    However, know that the game is not finished yet... Challenge yourself to
    other endings, which will add more to the storyline.

    ===============================================================================

    To see the bad/good endings, you need to perform a certain action with
    a certain soul equipped (see Spoilers). You will fight...

    ========================
    == Boss Fight : Aguni ==
    ========================

    *Attacks*

    1. It runs towards you, slams its hand downwards and quickly repeats it two
    more times.
    2. It shoots out small flame waves (usually three times).
    3. It swings low towards you (usually two or three times).
    4. It flies straight up out of the screen and smashes itself to the ground to
       cause a giant flame wave.

    *Strategy*

    Now this feels more like a boss fight than the fight with its counterpart.
    Wyrm Robe will significantly reduce the damage you receive from this boss
    if your level hasn't reached 50. Also the Frozen_Shade[B] soul is the most
    powerful soul attack against this boss if you can hit it. But You will
    generally want to use souls that shoot upward. To dodge attack 1, just run
    around. You can even change your running direction and it will just follow
    you. To avoid flame waves, simply double jump. When the boss just hover
    around to hit you, duck. Let the boss attack, dodge the attack and jump &
    attack with a long ranged weapon such as the ones in a spear series. Win
    and you will receive the Aguni[B] soul which is very helpful.

    Come out of the mirror world. A cut scene ensues. When it is done, go to <A>.

    <A>
    Find Magic_Seal_5 on the ground. Now your next destination is the centre of
    this castle. Head to <Garden_of_Madness>, <Q>. You can tackle this room
    from either <P> or <R>. Refer to Spoilers section to find out how you can
    see bad/good endings. If you want to see a good ending, you will have to
    find <Mine_of_Judgement> under <Condamned_Tower> after you visit
    <Garden_of_Madness>, <Q>.

    <D>
    Nothing is here. Proceed to <C>.

    <C>
    A Slogra and Tanjellies are waiting at the bottom of the room. One thing
    you should remember in this area is that you should not drop down all the
    way to the bottom of the rooms carelessly. There is almost always something
    waiting for you at the bottom of rooms, so be careful. Go to <A> through
    <B> to find a save room. Otherwise go to <F>.

    <B>
    Slogra is easy to deal with. Go to <A> to find a save room.

    <A>
    This is an another room filled with Tanjellies. They have fairly high HP
    and they will poison you if they hit you, so be careful. Find a save room
    through the top left corner exit and get back to <C>.

    <F>
    Yet another room with a lonely Slogra. You will see rooms setup like this
    a lot in this area.

    <E>
    Rippers are waiting at the bottom. They are just as annoying as the Fleamen
    and they throw knives at you, so watch out. Go to <G>.

    <G>
    There is a Ripper on the bottom floor. Go to <H>.

    <H>
    If you drop down all the way to the bottom without a caution, a Giant Slug
    will poison you and Tanjellies will attack you at the same time. Go to <J>.

    <J>
    You can find a Bugbear and a Slogra. Go to <J>.

    <I>
    An another room with Tanjellies and a Slogra. Go to <K>.

    <K>
    Gaibon will change its status upon taking some hits from you. When it gets
    mad(or when it goes red), its flame attack will be stronger. If you get
    Gaibon[G] and already have Slogra[B], you have an another soul combination
    to toy with. Go to <L>.

    <L>
    You will find lots of Gaibons floating around in this room, so either kill
    them quickly or avoid them to go to <N>.

    <N>
    Is it just me or is the background tile set getting repetitive? Go to <M>.

    <M>
    You will find a portal if you go to <O> through the right exit. Otherwise
    go to <P>.

    <O>
    Nothing here, just find a portal and get back to <M>.

    <P>
    Another Giant Slug is waiting on the bottom. Go to <Q>.

    <Q>
    A save room is found through bottom right exit. Save, and head to <T>.

    <T>
    Nothing special here. Be ready for a boss battle, practice drawing
    Magic Seal if needed, and advance to <S>.

    <S>
    ============================
    == Boss Fight : Death (1) ==
    ============================

    *Attacks*

    1. It charges towards you and swings its scythe, once vertically and once
       horizontally.
    2. It throws its scythe which breaks itself into many small sickles.
    3. It starts to flash its hands, makes three copies of itself mid-air.
       Those copies will shoot down laser beams and disappear.

    *Strategy*

    What Castlevania game is a Castlevania game without one of its signature
    bosses, Death? (OK, I haven't verified that actually heh) You have to learn
    its patterns. The patterns are not that hard but the damage you receive
    from each of the attacks could be devastating so observe well. If the boss
    tries to come near you for attack 1, let it come. When it pauses briefly to
    slash you with its scythe, back dash or just run away to avoid it, then duck
    to dodge its second attack. Use weapons or souls that have a wide attack
    range to destroy small sickles from attack 2. Position yourself between the
    copies as soon as you see the boss start to flash to dodge attack 3.
    Generally this form of the boss should not give you much trouble. After
    taking some beating from you, the boss will transform into its second form.

    ============================
    == Boss Fight : Death (2) ==
    ============================

    *Attacks*

    1. It disappears, shows up next to you and swings its scythe once or twice.
    2. It spins its scythe and throws it around the room. Small sickles appear
       in the middle of the air and fly towards you.
    3. It shoots out four energy balls to the side of the room. About the time
       it shoots out the third one out, a huge skull comes out from the side of
       the room that the first ball went out and tries to bite you. It is
       followed by another skull from the opposite side of the room, and that
       skull will be followed by another one from the opposite side and such.
       There will be four of those skulls.

    *Strategy*

    This form makes Death a more formidable foe. It still tries to slash you
    with its scythe, but with a different pattern. You will have to duck first,
    then jump to avoid its second slash. When you see the boss start to spin
    its scythe, get either very close to the boss or very far from it. If you
    choose to get near it, double jump to avoid the scythe while watching out
    for the sickles that suddenly appear in the mid-air and fly towards you.
    If you get far enough, the circulating scythe will not reach you and you
    simply have to pay attention to the flying sickles, but you will miss a
    chance to attack the boss since it is vulnerable during the whole attack
    sequence. At this time in the game, you can use some of the Guardian souls
    that makes you invincible such as the Bone_Ark[G] soul(what did you expect,
    Valkyrie[G]? heh). When you see the boss holding out its hands to the sides
    and shooting energy balls to the sides of the room, remember which way the
    first ball went. Count the balls and when you count three, be ready to run
    to the opposite way that the first ball went out. A giant skull will come
    out from the side and will attack you. When you avoid a contact with the
    first one, quickly change your direction to the opposite side as the second
    skull is coming out very soon from the other direction. Repeat this again
    and again until you avoid all four skulls. This attack is very lethal, so if
    you are not confident in your control or can't time it right, you can
    alternatively either float in the air to dodge using the Bat_Company[G] soul
    or the Medusa_Head[G] soul, or use souls that make you invincible. Using the
    Final_Guard[G] soul, however, would look more like a waste of MP here.
    The Axe_Armor[B] soul will be your best friend, and familiars can help too.
    When you finally defeat the boss here, you will be rewarded with the
    Death[G] soul.

    Go back and save if you want, or proceed to <R>.

    <R>
    There is a door leading to the last area of the game, <The_Abyss>. This
    door works like a portal. Enter.

    ===============================================================================

    <A>
    You will find yourself standing in a remote room that is not related to the
    castle. However exploring this area also counts towards the whole map
    completion so if you want 100% map you have to visit every room in this
    area, which is not that hard since this area is more like one way passage.
    Drop down to <B>.

    <B>
    An Arc Demon will greet you here. There is a save room on the left so use
    it if necessary. Some of the floor tiles look different than the other
    tiles. When you go near the reddish tile, a flame pillar will erupt to the
    ceiling. The pillar will cause great damage so stay away from it. Go to <D>.

    <D>
    If you have the Harpy[G] soul, use them to kill Fleamen. Watch out for the
    flame pillars and proceed. Take care of the Flame Demons and go to <C>.

    <C>
    Nothing here, simply go to <G>.

    <G>
    Nothing here, simply go to <F>.

    <F>
    Alastors will attack you here. The mud on the floor will hinder you. Kill
    or avoid the enemies here and go to <K>.

    <K>
    See the quick-sand like floor? If you brave it and drop down, you will find
    Hippogryph ability. Now you can jump very high, pressing Up + L together.
    Go to <E> trying the new ability out.

    <E>
    Heart Eater is bothersome if you don't take care of it quickly. Mud Demon
    will fork out yet another ability, Mud_Demon, which allows you to move
    freely when you are in the mud. This doesn't really help much though, since
    The_Abyss is the only area you will find floors with mud and even so there
    aren't many rooms with mud anyways. You will want to collect its soul for
    100% soul rate though. Go to <J>.

    <J>
    This is the best place to collect Mud_Demon ability since there is no pesky
    Heart Eater. Use the bottom floor to go back and forth then the enemies are
    replenished. Go to <M>.

    <M>
    Nothing here, simply go to <P>.

    <P>
    Nothing here, simply go to <R>.

    <R>
    Take care of the Frozen Shades and go to <T>.

    <T>
    Stolas can summon other monsters. If it draws three horizontal lines and
    one vertical line going through them, it will summon an Erinys. If it draws
    a triangle it will summon a Flame Demon. Stolas can be hard to face at this
    moment depending on your skill and supplies. Either kill the enemies or
    ignore them and proceed to <V>.

    <V>
    Another Final Guard is guarding this passage. Go to <X>.

    <X>
    Familiar enemies greets you here yet again. Go to <Y>.

    <Y>
    Nothing here, simply go to <b>.

    <b>
    Nothing here, simply go to <c>.

    <c>
    A Malacoda attacks you when you enter the room. Use the new ability or the
    Bat_Company[G] soul to proceed to <d>.

    <d>
    A similar setup as the previous room is found here. There is a save room
    on the right, so save and prepare for a boss fight. Open the sealed door
    to enter <e> when you are ready.

    <e>
    ==========================
    == Boss Fight : Abbadon ==
    ==========================

    *Attacks*

    1. It hops a couple of times towards you or makes a big leap.
    2. It commands a swarm of locusts to attack you by directing its baton in
       certain ways. There are four patterns that the locusts will appear.
    2-1. The boss draws a horizontal line. The locusts will come in a straight
       line from the side of the room.
    2-2. The boss draws a U shape. The locusts will fall from the ceiling of the
       room and will return to the ceiling in a U-like fashion.
    2-3. The boss draws a sideways U. The locusts will swarm from the side of
       the room and will return to the same side while making a big sideways U.
    2-4. The boss waves its baton in a waterfall like motion. The locusts will
       swarm you from top side of the room in same fashion the boss draw its
       baton.

    *Strategy*

    I have three words for you: Level 5 Buer[G].

    Seriously, this boss fight is a cakewalk if you maxed out your Buer[G] soul
    and use it. But not everybody is obsessed with souls like me(heh) or will
    have time to collect all the souls, so here is a real guide. Bullet souls
    that will work like a mine such as Waiter_Skeleton[B] or Une[B] help. The
    former will work very well. Attack 2-1 can be easily dodged. Shoot anything
    that goes forward such as Zombie[B], Larve[B], Malachi[B], Flame_Demon[B],
    Frozen_Shade[B], Aguni[B], Gergoth[G] and many more. Attack 2-2 is dodged
    by double jumping in the middle of the screen. You can also lean on the wall
    then duck. Using the Bat_Copmpany[G] soul can help too. Attack 2-3 can be
    also dodged by same way as 2-2, but you can also use souls here as well.
    Attack 2-4 could be the hardest attack to dodge. As soon as you see the
    boss draw the waterfall, jump to the direction that the locusts are coming
    out and you may have a chance to dodge them. However, if you have the
    Malachi[B] soul, you can shoot it and stay under the sphere to dodge the
    attack very easily. Bone_Ark[G] or Spin_Devil[G] souls can help too. You
    will receive the Abbadon[B] soul after you defeat the boss.

    Proceed to <f>.

    <f>
    Nothing here, simply go to <Z>.

    <Z>
    Nothing here, simply go to <a>.

    <a>
    You will face Black Panther for the first time in the game here. Its soul
    lets you run very fast and will help you explore the castle. While you are
    running, however, you become somewhat vulnerable. Black Panther is found
    only here and in <U>. Go to <W>.

    <W>
    Another Stolas and its companies are blocking the way. Go to <U>.

    <U>
    Another Iron Golem and a Black Panther is in your way. Go to <S>.

    <S>
    Attack the Giant Slug either from the bottom or from the side. This is the
    best place to collect the Giant_Slug[E] soul but its soul is not as useful
    as it could have been have you had the soul earlier. What a predicament,
    isn't it? Go to <Q>.

    <Q>
    Nothing here, simply go to <O>.

    <O>
    Nothing here, simply go to <N>.

    <N>
    The Bat_Company[G] soul is your best friend if you are not skilled enough to
    avoid the spikes by jumping. Take care of the monsters here and go to <L>.

    <L>
    There is a portal on the right. Again, avoid the spikes, kill or avoid
    enemies and go up to <I>.

    <I>
    Save room is on your right, so save and prepare for the last boss battle.
    This is the moment that you worked hard for. Whenever you are ready,
    advance to <H>.

    <H>
    Go into the door. After a long dialogue scene, you will face the final boss
    of the game.

    =============================
    == Boss Fight : Menace (1) ==
    =============================

    *Attacks*

    1. Spikes raise from the ground on the side of the room.
    2. Spikes stick out from above in the middle of the room.
    3. The boss's mouth open and breathes out poison gas.

    *Strategy*

    THIS is the final boss? Come on, Konami, give us a break. You can easily
    dodge all of its attacks. Basically you are caved in, so don't run into the
    'wall' or the body of the boss. When you see the spikes coming out, simply
    run out of its range. When you see the mouth open, stay away. If you equip
    a spear series with the Medusa_Head[G] soul and stap the face in the
    middle, you will find this phase of battle even boring. Don't waste your MP
    on it. Upon taking certain amount of damage, the boss will transform into
    its second form.

    =============================
    == Boss Fight : Menace (2) ==
    =============================

    *Attacks*

    1. It slowly walks towards you, or walks back.
    2. It sends out flying-mouth-like-things.
    3. It swings its fist either horizontally or rather vertically.
    4. It tries to pulverize you by taking a giant step when you are on the
       ground.

    *Strategy*

    Now, THIS feels more like the boss battle, doesn't it? The weak points of
    this boss is the face which is protected by the skull helmet from time to
    time, and the knee which also has a face of its own. Those floating things
    make the battle worse. You should protect yourself from being hit by them
    while attacking the boss. If you fall from the ledges you can either use
    Hippgryph ability to get back up or use the ledges on the far left side of
    the room. The boss pauses briefly before it swings its fist so you will
    know when to dodge it. When the boss corners you to the side of the room,
    try getting behind of the boss using the Bat_Company[G] soul. Use the souls
    with a long range if you don't want to get hit. There is not much to tell
    you about this battle other than these. Good luck!

    ===============================================================================

    Congratulations, you beat the game! You can still play the game on Julius
    mode or play Boss Rush mode. You can also start a new game on the Hard mode,
    where the enemies get stronger and you have the weapons and souls from your
    previously cleared data (some exceptions exist). Enjoy!

    You have two way of crossing the path here. One is to use the Bone_Ark[G]
    soul. You will consume about 200 MP if you do that. Another is to use the
    Bat_Company[G] soul or to turn off Rahab ability. Doing so will only take
    you to the wall in the middle of the room. You need to use the
    Puppet_Master[B] soul with the combination of the Skeleton_Ape[E] soul to
    pass the wall, then cross the rest of the way using same method you used to
    get to the wall. It is recommended that you have the Bat_Company[G] soul
    when you visit there. It is also recommended that you set the last three
    digits of your money to 600~650 before you enter the area.

    Use the Paranoia[B] soul to find a Super_Potion here.

    <J>
    If you touch the DS screen on the energy ball, it will pop, breaking the
    surrounding ice blocks. There is also an iron gate on the top of the screen
    that blocks your way up. Corner the ball by breaking ice blocks accordingly,
    pop it right next to the gate. The gate will break open and you will be free
    to go to the upper part of the room.

    <The_Pinnacle>

    <Q>
    Notice the machinery in the middle of the room? If you use the Rycuda[B]
    soul the machine will charge up to summon No.81 Mothman. Its soul will let
    you have more experience points when you kill a monster.

    <B>
    To see the bad/good endings, use the Paranoia[B] soul and go into the
    mirror. Inside the mirror, you will fight Aguni instead of Dario.

    After you defeat Aguni, you have to go to <Garden_of_Madness>, <Q>. To see
    a BAD ending, DO NOT equip Mina's_Talisman that Arikado gave you and enter
    <Garden_of_Madness>, <Q>. Congratulations! You just beat the game for the
    bad ending.

    To see a GOOD ending, EQUIP Mina's_Talisman and enter <Garden_of_Madness>,
    <Q>. After the cut scene there, you will have to go to <Condemned_Tower>,
    <M>. The path to <Mine_of_Judgement> will then open and you will be able
    to explore the next area of the game.

    If you have 100% of souls in the game, you can find a Chaos_Ring in this
    room. The Chaos_Ring will regenerate MP very quickly so you can use soul
    attacks without worrying about depleting MP.
