How to convert mp3 files into mp4?

for the DSi

Godsmack575 asked for clarification:

MP4 is a video format. Are your talking bout AAC?

Moofey answered:

It's likely easier to convert to .m4a, especially if you have iTunes.

1. Add the MP3s you want to convert to your iTunes collection, right click it and select "Create AAC version.
2. Copy/paste or cut/paste the converted files anywhere on your SD card
3. ???
4. Profit!

Onaske answered:

Itunes default format will play on the DSi. Just import your songs to itunes, then drag and drop them to your SD card. Though they will be .m4a rather than .mp4.

I use Alt WAV MP3 WMA OGG Converter. You can download this at Even though it olny comes with a 15 day trial its very easy to use. Select indiviual(i cand spell) files or an entire folder, choose your file format(m4a) in the lower right hand corner, make sure your audio files are not protected (WMD usually asks you to do this after you put new songs on it and closes it) and you have DSi compatible songs. The DSi will keep playing your music when its closed olny when theres headphones plugged in.

I use dbpoweramp music converter. It needs the free nero aac/mp4 plugin but it worked very well.
