    1. Intro**************************************C1*****************************
Welcome to my 12th guide - yes, this is #12! - I have written so far. This one
is, amazingly, on the DSi Camera. It is truly a wonder why it hasn't been
written yet. I mean, this is a major aspect of the DSi! Well, anyway, this is
that FAQ we've been needing. Enjoy.

    2. Quick Note**************************************C2************************
I know this might not be necessary, but I am speaking from the DSi XL's point
of view. Therefore, some facts and directions may be different depending on
version - and maybe even country (in that case, US). If something is
incorrect or inaccurate, please notify me of this.

    3. Start Up**************************************C3**************************
When you turn on the DSi/DSi XL, you see some icons. One of these should have
a little camera on it. Tap it to access the camera.

You are given a tutorial, which will take about five minutes. Afterwards, you
should be free to do whatever you wish. If needed, see section #5 to delete the
pics you took during the tutorial. The icons on screen are now about to be
    covered.

    4. Menu**************************************C4******************************
At the DSi Camera menu, you should see this on the Touch Screen:

    ...and a calendar at top.

Each of these icons, when tapped, will take to do something. Each icon is
    covered by section(s).

    Camera : sections 7-9.
    Album : sections 5, 10-12
    Calendar : sections 6 and 13
    Other : sections 14-16
System & SD Card: Tap to view photos from there.
Exit : Return to DSi menu.

    5. Album**************************************C5*****************************
(To get there, tap "Album" on the DSi Camera menu)

In this menu, you can sort, edit, delete, and view pics you have taken. To
sort, see section 11. To edit, see section 10. To view, YOU ALREADY ARE! To
delete, look at the pic you wish to delete and press "Delete," which is at the
    bottom of the Touch Screen.

You can also view the pics as a slideshow. Tap "Slide Show" at the top-right
and the slideshow will start. You can change how to view and hear the slide
show in "Settings" at the bottom-middle.

    6. Calendar**************************************C6**************************
(To get there, tap "Calendar" on the DSi Camera menu)

Nothing much is here. You can make memos for certain days (like "Math Test on
May 21st). You can also see one pic taken that day, if any were. Press a date
on the Touch Screen to view its pic (if any) and memo (if any). Memos are
    covered in section 13.

    7. Camera**************************************C7****************************
(To get here, tap "Camera" on the DSi Camera menu)

HOLY CRAP! IT'S ME! Yep, when you tap Camera, THAT menu starts with the pic
the inner camera (beside the mic) could take. There are many things to cover
here, so in the next two sections, they will be covered.

    8. Using the Camera**************************************C8******************
Whenever you're ready, tap "Start." You can now take a picture by tapping
"Capture" or by pressing L, R, or A. Use "Switch" to switch between the inner
camera (beside mic) and outer camera (black dot on top of DSi/DSi XL).

There are some guidelines to follow:
-Take pics in a well-lit place, especially if using the color-changer lenses.
-Clean the camera carefully like you would a CD/DVD: with a lint-free cloth
     that is slightly damp.
-If taking self-pics, hold the DSi/DSi XL about 6-12 inches away from your
     face for full recognition.

    9. The Lenses**************************************C9************************
Okay, so you think you take pictures, now? Boring, huh? Not too interesting.
Let's mess with them a bit (evil grin).

When you see all those icons on the top of the Touch Screen, those are lenses.
Each has a different effect. They are now being covered.

1st from left: Normal lens. It takes a normal picture. You cannot do anything
to this pic until put in the Album.
2nd from left: Distortion lens. Before taking a picture, drag you stylus
across various parts of the picture to distort and warp it.
3rd from left: Graffiti lens. Draw some stuff on the picture. Bunny ears. Devil
                   horns. Pokeballs. Whatever.
4th from left: Color lens. The whole pic starts in black-and-white, but you
can restore color to some parts of the picture by tapping those
areas. NOTE: If colors in the picture are ALMOST/ARE the same,
all of those colors will be restored.
5th from left: Colorpad lens. Change a color to a different color. Maybe do
like I did - make a ton of DS Lite pics. Make a blue apple.
NOTE: If the colors in the picture are ALMOST/ARE the same, all
                   of those colors will change.
6th from left: Make a mirroring or kaleidoscope effect on the picture. Rotate
                   it with the stylus.
7th from left: Mischief lens. With recognizable photo of a face, you can add
various effects to it, like sunglasses or tears. This can work
even if the faces move and with multiple faces.
8th from left: Emoter lens. With a recognizable pic of a face, you can make it
look happy, mad, or sad. NOTE: the graphics on it don't look
                   well.
9th from left: Merge lens. Take a photo of one face, then another. The pics
will be merged to create one odd photo.
10th from left: Resemblence lens. Have two faces in front of the camera at
once, then you can take a picture and see just how alike they
                    are.
11th from left: Frame lens. Put some of loaded or custom frame around a pic of
                    something.

You can save and keep all of these photos in the Album to exchange or Facebook
at a later date, or to print out, or to waste space or something.

    10. Editing Pics**************************************C10********************
    (Go to the Album)

When you look at a pic, you can edit it like you did with the other lens. You
make a kaeidoscope effect over a kaleidoscope effect over... You see my point.
    You have nine lenses available.

1st from left: Distortion lens. Before taking a picture, drag you stylus
across various parts of the picture to distort and warp it.
2nd from left: Graffiti lens. Draw some stuff on the picture. Bunny ears. Devil
                   horns. Pokeballs. Whatever.
3rd from left: Color lens. The whole pic starts in black-and-white, but you
can restore color to some parts of the picture by tapping those
areas. NOTE: If colors in the picture are ALMOST/ARE the same,
all of those colors will be restored.
4th from left: Colorpad lens. Change a color to a different color. Maybe do
like I did - make a ton of DS Lite pics. Make a blue apple.
NOTE: If the colors in the picture are ALMOST/ARE the same, all
                   of those colors will change.
5th from left: Make a mirroring or kaleidoscope effect on the picture. Rotate
                   it with the stylus.
6th from left: Mischief lens. With recognizable photo of a face, you can add
various effects to it, like sunglasses or tears. This can work
even if the faces move and with multiple faces.
7th from left: Emoter lens. With a recognizable pic of a face, you can make it
look happy, mad, or sad. NOTE: the graphics on it don't look
                   well.
8th from left: Merge lens. Take a photo of one face, then another. The pics
will be merged to create one odd photo.
9th from left: Resemblence lens. Have two faces in front of the camera at
once, then you can take a picture and see just how alike they
                   are.

The finished pic will be saved as a separate photo.

    11. Sorting Pics**************************************C11********************
    (Go to the Album menu)

Whenever you look at a pic, you label it with a sticker. There are three: a
star, club, and heart. These have effects on where and when photos are
    displayed.

Look at a pic and press a star/heart/club to label it as such.

    12. Useage of Pics**************************************C12******************
    -Facebook
    -Photo Clock
-Brain Age: Arts & Letters's Photo Recall game
    -DSi menu
    -DSi Camera calendar
    -Share with friends
    -Waste space
    -Keep pics of special occasions

Any more? Well? E-mail me at keyblade999.faqs@gmail.com.

    13. Memos**************************************C13***************************
(At the DSi Camera menu, tap "Calendar")

On the Touch Screen, you'll see a calendar and on top, a pic taken/made that
day. To make a memo, tap "Memo" at the bottom-right.

You can write a memo for yourself. Examples include, for school-age kids, "Math
Test" and "Math Tournament today." Even adults can use this, with memos such as
"Apply for job" and "Go to Bob's place." However, I do not think the DSi/DSi XL
will actually notify you of such memos - you likely have to check yourself.

    14. Exchanging Pics**************************************C14*****************
(At the DSi Camera menu, tap "Other")

At this menu, tap "Exchange." You can get/send pics/frames to others who want
to that have a DSi/DSi XL. Of course, you both allow the other to distribute
these however he may wish, so be warned - he might put the most embarrassing
    pic of you on Facebook.

    15. Copying Pics**************************************C15********************
(At the DSi Camera menu, tap "Other")

I am not too sure on this. But I get the basic point - copying photos onto the
DSi/DSi XL from an SD Card, or vica versa.

    16. Reviewing the Tutroial**************************************C16**********
(At the DSi Camera menu, tap "Other")

In the "Other" menu, tap "How to use DSi Camera." This will take you back
through the tutorial you went through when you first accessed the DSi Camera
    option.

    17. Facebooking Pics**************************************C17****************
HOW? Just simply - HOW? To e-mail me the proper steps, send the e-mail to
    keyblade999.faqs@gmail.com.
