"A wonderful game, destroyed by technical problems"
Lego Star Wars is an awsome game series that is fun for all ages, and when I heard that a sequel was being made, I could not wait for it to come out. I went to the game store and bought it on the day of its realease, and I couldn't have been happier. But then, wierd things started happening- objects disapeared, characters fell through platforms, sometimes even whole areas just vanished before my eyes, but more on that later.
The sound on this game is wonderful, the music fits right in with the gameplay, and the sound effects are awsome, with the laser bursts, explosions and the humming of the lightsabers. My only problem with the sound is that when you are a character such as an imperial guard, their weapon makes the same sound as a lightsaber, and that some of the songs get annoying after a while.
The stroyline follows the classic origianal star wars story line, using legos, of course, very well, and there really is no problems with the storyline,, expect for a few forgotten things.
Here is where the game is destroyed. The gameplay would be fine except for the glitches, there are many extras, the idea of finding cannisters to unlock certain character is wonderful, you can even create you own characters, BUT...there is no joy in playing this game, there are just too many glitches, such as dissapearing floors, missing canisters, sometimes characters never appear for sale when they are supposed to. THis game is imppossible to get 100% in because of these glitches. They make the game frustrating, and there are just too many glitches to get around. Playing through this game is painfuly excruciating, at best.
Glitches destroy this as well. there is no piont in playing a game with this many problems.
Do not buy or rent this game, get for some other console. This game is just too bad, there are too many problems with it to justify spending your hard earned money.
