                                 (B) CONTROLS
###############################################################################

The controls for this game are as follows:

Move - Drag the stylus to adjust the speed of your movement.

Boost - Double-tap the top of the screen (hold the second tap if you need a
        bit more).

Brake - Double-tap the bottom of the screen (hold the second tap if you need a
        bit more).

Roll - Draw a quick circle to do a roll (hold afterwards to keep rolling).
       This allows you to deflect shots and also pick up any cores or items
       that are nearby.


A,B,X,Y,L,R,dpad - Shoot (hold to lock-on, then release).

Bomb - Drag the "B" on the right off your radar to a group of enemies where you
       want to use it, then release.

U-Turn - Tap the "U-turn" button below the "B" on the right side of your radar.

Loop - Tap the "loop" button on the left side of your radar.


Start  - Pause.

This item looks like an atom and gives you 25 extra seconds.

These yellow rings restore some of your shields once you fly through them.
They fully restore your shields when not in an enemy zone.

These can only be used by the great fox once picked up, but they allow you to
destroy one enemy zone.

You will find the walkthrough for the entire game in the sections below, which
will tell you how to get all 9 endings.


###############################################################################
                            (D-00A) TRAINING LVL 1
###############################################################################

You have no timer in this stage, you just need to go through each of the rings
once.  The rings disappear from your screen and the radar as you pass through
them, so it's easy to find missed rings.

Turn your ship right to go through the first 6 rings, then fly up and down as
needed to pass through the next 7.  Turn left through 6 more rings and take 2
more before going up for another.


###############################################################################
                            (D-00B) TRAINING LVL 2
###############################################################################

This stage has you shooting 30 enemies and collecting their 30 cores.

You can fly around and shoot by pressing pretty much any other button (I find L
or R and the dpad work well).


###############################################################################
                            (D-00C) TRAINING LVL 3
###############################################################################

You have 5 turrets to destroy in this stage.  They don't move, but they shoot
rings at you.  You want to lock on and fire at them from a distance, then use
your roll to deflect their shots.  Deflecting shots in this way saves you
energy and hassle, but also gives you a small time bonus.

Rolling against these shots is a great way to get bonus time in stages that
have them.


###############################################################################
                            (D-00D) TRAINING LVL 4
###############################################################################

There are 15 enemies here and you have 30 seconds to beat them.  Go through any
rings and grab the items that appear.  You also get a fuel cell for every 5
enemies destroyed (once picked up).

This is the final training stage, so after this you're onto the real game.


###############################################################################
                    (D-01) CORNERIA - THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
###############################################################################

Turns - 04


Now that the game is beginning, there are 3 enemy zones and you need to draw
your flight path to one of them.  The yellow arrows indicate how fast the
enemies are in each zone.  So there are 2 slow zones and one normal zone here.

You can use the great fox to launch fighters or missiles (it has 3), but you
fail if it gets destroyed.  Fox is your only fighter right now, so you can draw
a flight path for him.


The top enemy zone (01) has 4 target enemies (blue commander ships) with
shields and weapons both rated at 2.

The middle zone (02) has 3 target enemies (flashing swarm fighters) with
shields at 1 and weapons at 2.

The faster bottom zone (03) has 3 target enemies (flashing swarm fighters) with
shields at 1 and weapons at 2.


You want to draw a flight path towards your chosen enemy zone and either double
tap the screen, or press any button to bring up the large "turn confirm"
screen.  Tap the turn button from this point to end your turn, or hit cancel
and make changes.

I recommend moving towards the top enemy zone for your first turn, then
engaging them in your second turn.

Enemy Zone 01
-------------

Destroy the 4 ships as fast as you can, then use your boost and roll to get the
cores quickly.

Enemy Zone 02
-------------

These three enemies are weaker than those from the previous zone, so you should
get rid of them even faster.

Enemy Zone 03
-------------

This zone has the same weak swarm fighters from zone 02, but they move at
normal speed now.  Use locked or normal shoots from a distance and boost if
needed, then grab the cores to finish the mission.


###############################################################################
                     (D-02) CORNERIA - REUNION WITH SLIPPY
###############################################################################

Time  - 150
Cores - 30
Turns - 04


This mission introduces missiles, supply rings and fuel cells to the map.
Moving over a missile allows the great fox to fire that missile and destroy an
enemy zone with it.  The supply ring refills health and the fuel cell adds 25
seconds to your time, like always.


Draw your first flight path to pick up the pair of missiles ahead of you.


Now you can fire a missile with the great fox by touching it and dragging to an
enemy zone.  Shoot a missile at the enemy zone with the 10 puffer enemies, then
shoot another one at the enemy zone with the 2 flash bombers.

Use Fox to pick up the next missile and fuel cell, then engage the group of 6
swarm fighters with the same flight path if you can.

Enemy Zone 01
-------------

Destroy 6 of these swarm fighters high and low, while using the item rings.



Use Fox to take the remaining missile (and supply ring if you need it) as
Slippy appears.  Use a missile on one of the enemy zones and Slippy on the
other one.

Slippy has no lock-on, so just use his twin lasers to destroy the target ships
and collect the last few cores to finish the mission.


###############################################################################
                          (D-03) FICHINA - FOG OF WAR
###############################################################################

Time  - 150
Cores - 13
Turns - 04


This mission introduces the fog, which you can drag the stylus over to clear
away.  You can only clear a certain amount of fog per turn, so don't worry
about clearing every pixel in a given area.  Think of the 6 fog patches as
being arranged like this:

I recommend clearing away fog-A and firing a missile at the shurikens in that
zone if you have one.  If not, you can send Fox over there to shoot through
their tough shields.

Send Slippy towards fog-B for the fuel cell as he fights the 4 bomber birds in
the nearby zone.  Get the fuel cell if you didn't earlier, then grab the other
one in fog-C and the middle in fog-D.  Destroy the lone assault laser in the
nearby zone if you're close enough.

Kill the 3 shurikens in the zone near the enemy mother ship, then head over to
the mother ship.

Kill two shurikens here for their cores, then watch as a trail of red square
beacons appears.  You need to fly through every beacon, then do a roll before
you hit the ship to destroy it.  Freeing a base from the enemy like this gives
you 2 extra turns, and if your flight path crosses an allied base, then you can
fly farther on that path.

Boss: Star Wolf
---------------

You have to beat 3 members of star wolf, so shoot them with normal shots, and
locked ones.  Use your bombs while avoiding their mines and be sure to use the
rings for items.  Watch your radar for any fuel cells and be sure to use loops
or u-turns when star wolf is chasing you.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found it easier with Slippy.
Once star wolf is defeated, the mission is over.

                     (D-04) FICHINA - OIKONNY STRIKES BACK

Lucy gets added to your party for this mission, so you have one more team
member to work with.

The top left mother ship has 2 web ships as the target, the top right one has 3

I recommend sending Lucy along the top, Slippy across the bottom, and Fox right
between the bottom two no-fly zones.

Boss: Death Crab
----------------

Shoot the weak spots on the inside of the crab's pincers when they open.
Repeat this until the crab starts flying, then dodge the pincers as they get
launched at you like boomerangs.  Keep shooting until they're destroyed and
work on the boss's 6 legs next.  Shoot the antennas if you want to stop the
rings briefly, otherwise focus your shots on the body at this point to finish
the fight.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Lucy worked well.
Once the death crab is defeated, the mission is over.


###############################################################################
                       (D-05) AQUAS - BEANEATH THE WAVES
###############################################################################

Turns - 03


Falco gets added to your party for this mission, so you have a new team member
to work with.  Amanda also joins you on the second turn.

Enemy missiles are a new threat as well, they are launched from the mother ship
and they pass through no-fly zones so you have to intercept them.  Missiles
don't turn around when you get close, like enemy zones.  So you need to fly far
enough in front of them that they don't pass you as you BOTH move during a
turn.

The top enemy zone is 2 giant spindly fish, the far right enemy zone is 12
jellyfish.

The top left mother ship has 1 atomic ray as the target, the bottom right
mother ship has 3 spiky fish? as the target and the top right mother ship has a
death plankton as the target.

The missile slipstream stages (when intercepting an enemy missile) are slightly
different.  They pretty much involve following beacons, like when you take down
a mother ship.  Do this until you get a message about the missile weakening,
then KEEP HITTING THE BEACONS as you shoot and destroy the missile.  It helps
to use a character that can lock-on.


I recommend sending Fox up towards the top enemy zone and mother ship, send
Falco towards the missile and enemy missile and have Slippy move towards the
allied base.  Amanda can head for the lowest mother ship when she shows up.

Once all mother ships, enemy zones and missiles are destroyed, the mission is
over.


###############################################################################
                        (D-06) SECTOR Z - WE MEET AGAIN
###############################################################################

Time  - 150
Cores - 44
Turns - 04


Krystal gets added to your party for this mission, so you have a new team
member to work with.  There's no fog to worry about in this stage either, which
helps.  Asteroids are in the bottom right area of the map, and they cause your
flight path to be changed (wasting fuel).

The top left enemy zone is 4 Ammonite I, bottom left enemy zone is 1 bozoid,
the bottom enemy zone is 1 spin devil and the right enemy zone is 9 angel fish.
The fifth enemy zone in the top right is 2 pylons.  Use your bombs early to
make these zones easier.

The top right mother ship has 10 grunt ships? as the target, the bottom left
mother ship has 10 y as the target and the bottom right mother ship has 1 bee
fighter II as the target.

These enemy missiles are a bit tougher to shoot down in this mission, as you're
flying faster from the beacons.  After the 8th beacon you can shoot and release
your locked shot, but you NEED to be quick or you'll be moving too fast to hit
the rest of the beacons.


I recommend sending Slippy up and right to the top right mother ship, Krystal
left around to the middle enemy zone (while taking the missile), Falco in front
of the enemy missile and asteroids and fox to the right enemy zone.  You can
use your missiles on the enemy zones to make things easier.

Take out the first 4 enemy zones, then grab the missile, fuel cells and supply
ring while shooting down enemy missiles and destroying the mother ships.  Once
everything is destroyed, the mission is over.


###############################################################################
                         (D-07) ASTEROID BELT - ANGLAR
###############################################################################

I recommend sending Falco straight up to the top left mother ship, Krystal
right to the bottom mother ship, Fox towards the left enemy zone and Slippy
towards the middle enemy zone.

Collect the items while destroying the enemy missile, then take out the new
enemy zone with 6 Invader II ships.  Work on the final mother ship to get the
boss to appear.


----------------
Boss: Arrow Head
----------------

Use your bomb and don't forget the rings in this fight.  Shoot the segments of
the body until they detach, then watch for their shots.  Keep this up until the
head is in the middle of 8 other segments (looks like a 3x3 grid).  A green
spot moves around and that's the one you want to shoot.  When it stops moving,
that piece launches towards you, so shoot it to send it back (be sure to roll
during this part).  Keep this up and shoot the head in the middle as everything
gets faster to defeat the boss.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Falco worked well.
Once the arrow head is defeated, the mission is over.


Now you can sit back and watch the first ending to the game (out of 9).  Play
the single-player mode again to start trying for the second ending.

                    (D-08) CORNERIA - THE ADVENTURE BEGINS

This stage is different on your second time through, you should also notice
that you have less time/fuel than usual.

Afterwards it's your first real choice, now you can choose the locked options
if you want.  Any option that you've chosen before will be marked with blue
from now on.  So if you were to choose option 1, you would play the "Reunion
With Slippy" stage again.  We want something new, so choose option 3 "Where is
Falco?".

                       (D-09) KATINA - FALCO TO THE FORE

This stage is different on your second time through, you should also notice
that you have less time/fuel than usual.

I recommend sending Falco up to the first missile, across the allied base to
the second missile, then into the right enemy zone.  Bill shows up from the
left after the second turn, so send him up to the missile and down to the left
mother ship.  Falco can take out the enemy missile, before you clear out the
rest of your foes and finish the mission.

asteroids for items and the bottom mother ship.  Clear out the rest to finish
the mission.


If you choose option 1, then you play the "Beneath The Waves" stage again.  So
choose option 2 "Search for Krystal".

                       (D-11) SECTOR X - PIGMA'S REVENGE

The bottom left enemy zone is 1 node and the top left is 1 bozoid.  The top
right enemy zone is 15 invader III ships, the middle right is 1 bee fighter II
and the bottom right is 4 ammonite I enemies.


I recommend sending Falco up to pick up the closest missile as you fight the
node.  Use your missiles on the enemies and start intercepting the enemy
missiles yourself as Katt appears on the third turn.  Clear away the rest of
the units to start the boss fight.

Boss: Pigma
-----------

This boss is made up of four cubes that rotate each time they are shot.  You
want to shoot the cubes until they are each showing the purple side, Pigma's
face.

At this point the boss has different attacks depending on which colour is
facing you.  The purple side shoots a deadly blue outline of Pigma's face that
you MUST avoid.  The green side has two rounds of 6 heat-seeking missiles for
you to destroy or avoid.  The red side has two sets of laser pillars to avoid.
The yellow side has flames, so dodge them.

Target the red orb in the middle and shoot it while dealing with these attacks
to damage the boss.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Falco worked well.
Once Pigma is defeated, the mission is over.


Now you can sit back and watch the second ending to the game.  Play the
single-player mode again to start trying for the third ending.

                    (D-12) CORNERIA - THE ADVENTURE BEGINS

This stage is the same as it was the last time you played it (just different
from the first time).

missile as you take out the mother ship with Fox.  Try to pick up the last
missile before fighting the final enemy zone and finishing the mission.

Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found it easier with Slippy.
Once star wolf is defeated, the mission is over.

Shoot the weak spots on the inside of the crab's pincers when they open.
Repeat this until the crab starts flying, then dodge the pincers as they get
launched at you like boomerangs.  Keep shooting until they're destroyed and
work on the boss's 6 legs next.  Shoot the antennas if you want to stop the
rings briefly, otherwise focus your shots on the body at this point to finish
the fight.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Lucy worked well.
Once the death crab is defeated, the mission is over.

This boss is made up of three segments and sweeps the ground with pink beams.
Keep your distance and watch out for streams of lasers that shoot from the
ground where those beams hit.  Fire at the weak point at the back of the last
segment until it detaches, then repeat this for the other two segments to
destroy the boss.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Katt worked well.
Once the splitter is defeated, the mission is over.


Now you can sit back and watch the third ending to the game.  Play the
single-player mode again to start trying for the fourth ending.

This boss runs along the sand and causes pairs of pillars to rise up behind
him.  The pillars have a damaging barrier if you fly between them, so fly
to either side.  Rocks also fly back at you during this attack, but you can get
fuel cells by shooting the rocks.  Their is a weak spot on the boss's butt, so
lock on if you can and start shooting it from behind.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Peppy worked well.
Once the grunner is defeated, the mission is over.

Boss: Arrow Head
----------------

Use your bomb and don't forget the rings in this fight.  Shoot the segments of
the body until they detach, then watch for their shots.  The boss enters holes
in the ground, fires blue cubes and swings his body at you (roll for both
attacks).  It's easy to run out of time in this stage, so you want to roll
through a lot of rings to get some extra time.

Keep up your attacks until the head is in the middle of 8 other segments (looks
like a 3x3 grid).  A green spot moves around and that's the one you want to
shoot.  When it stops moving, that piece launches towards you, so shoot it to
send it back (be sure to roll during this part).  Keep this up and shoot the
head in the middle as everything gets faster to defeat the first boss fight.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Slippy worked well.

Boss: Emperor Anglar
--------------------

This boss is a large head with 3 green mines, but there's no time limit.  You
want to shoot each mine until it turns red, while moving in a circle to avoid
the pink stream of shots from the middle.

Take the item and roll for the swirling attack to send it back to the boss,
then start shooting his antenna to deal damage.  Repeat this process until the
boss is at half health, then get ready for some craziness.  Now there are
vertical and horizontal bars to weave through while you shoot the green mines.

Once all three are destroyed you are left with the boss's face once more.  This
time the boss gets blue rings near his mouth before trying to inhale you, so
use your brakes to avoid getting chewed on.  After this attack you can roll to
deflect some debris, but KEEP shooting his antenna to finish off the boss and
the mission.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Slippy worked well.


Now you can sit back and watch the fourth ending to the game.  Play the
single-player mode again to start trying for the fifth ending.

Boss: Solar Satellite
---------------------

This boss releases VERY ANNOYING solar fighters during the battle.  Otherwise
you need to watch for the pink beams from the engines and make sure you don't
crash into the thing.  Look for the glowing spot on the two side objects, on
the back side with those engines.  Target these spots and shoot until they are
both gone.

Now you want to come from behind and shoot the top half of the boss repeatedly.
This tips it into the lava so it takes damage.  Repeat this until the boss is
no more and the mission is over.

The real trick is to lock on and attack the solar fighters as soon as they
appear to get them out of the way and hopefully some items too.  You can also

----------------

Use your bomb and don't forget the rings in this fight.  Shoot the segments of
the body until they detach, then watch for their shots.  The boss enters holes
in the ground, fires blue cubes and swings his body at you (roll for both
attacks).  It's easy to run out of time in this stage, so you want to roll
through a lot of rings to get some extra time.

Keep up your attacks until the head is in the middle of 8 other segments (looks
like a 3x3 grid).  A green spot moves around and that's the one you want to
shoot.  When it stops moving, that piece launches towards you, so shoot it to
send it back (be sure to roll during this part).  Keep this up and shoot the
head in the middle as everything gets faster to defeat the boss.


It's up to you who you want to use, but James is new and pretty good.

Boss: Emperor Anglar
--------------------

This boss is a large head with 3 green mines, but there's no time limit.  You
want to shoot each mine until it turns red, while moving in a circle to avoid
the pink stream of shots from the middle.

Roll for the swirling attack to send it back to the boss (you have to bounce it
back more than once before it hits), then start shooting his antenna to deal
damage.

Repeat this process as the mines use green beams to hold you, avoid the beams
so they don't turn pink.  They rush into you once all three beams touch you, so
roll and dodge when this happens (try to make sure it doesn't though).

When the boss is at half health there are vertical and horizontal bars to weave
through while you shoot the green mines.

Once all three are destroyed you are left with the boss's face once more.  This
time the boss gets blue rings near his mouth before trying to inhale you, so
use your brakes to avoid getting chewed on.  After this attack you can roll to
deflect some debris, but KEEP shooting his antenna to finish off the boss and
the mission.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Dash worked well.


Now you can sit back and watch the fifth ending to the game.  Play the
single-player mode again to start trying for the sixth ending.

This boss releases VERY ANNOYING solar fighters during the battle.  Otherwise
you need to watch for the pink beams from the engines and make sure you don't
crash into the thing.  Look for the glowing spot on the two side objects, on
the back side with those engines.  Target these spots and shoot until they are
both gone.

Now you want to come from behind and shoot the top half of the boss repeatedly.
This tips it into the lava so it takes damage.  Repeat this until the boss is
no more and the mission is over.

The real trick is to lock on and attack the solar fighters as soon as they
appear to get them out of the way and hopefully some items too.  You can also
destroy the rocks for items, so be sure to do so.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Wolf worked well.

This boss is made up of four cubes that rotate each time they are shot.  You
want to shoot the cubes until they are each showing the purple side, Pigma's
face.   This time the cubes continue to spin from the purple side and the boss
moves more, so shoot carefully.

At this point the boss has different attacks depending on which colour is
facing you.  The purple side shoots a deadly blue outline of Pigma's face that
you MUST avoid.  The green side has two rounds of 6 heat-seeking missiles for
you to destroy or avoid.  The red side has two sets of laser pillars to avoid.
The yellow site has flames, so dodge them.

Target the red orb in the middle and shoot it while dealing with these attacks
to damage the boss.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Fox worked well.
Once Pigma is defeated, the mission is over.


Now you can sit back and watch the sixth ending to the game.  Play the
single-player mode again to start trying for the seventh ending.

send it back (be sure to roll during this part).  Keep this up and shoot the
head in the middle as everything gets faster to defeat the boss.

Boss: Emperor Anglar
--------------------

This boss is a large head with 3 green mines, but there's no time limit.  You
want to shoot each mine until it turns red, while moving in a circle to avoid
the pink stream of shots from the middle.

Roll for the swirling attack to send it back to the boss (you have to bounce it
back more than once before it hits), then start shooting his antenna to deal
damage.

Repeat this process as the mines use green beams to hold you, avoid the beams
so they don't turn pink.  They rush into you once all three beams touch you, so
roll and dodge when this happens (try to make sure it doesn't though).

When the boss is at half health there are vertical and horizontal bars to weave
through while you shoot the green mines.

Once all three are destroyed you are left with the boss's face once more.  This
time the boss gets blue rings near his mouth before trying to inhale you, so
use your brakes to avoid getting chewed on.  After this attack you can roll to
deflect some debris, but KEEP shooting his antenna to finish off the boss and
the mission.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found that Wolf worked well.


Now you can sit back and watch the seventh ending to the game.  Play the
single-player mode again to start trying for the eighth ending.

You have to beat 3 members of star wolf here, so shoot them with normal shots
and locked ones.  Use your bombs while avoiding their mines and be sure to use
the rings for items.  Watch your radar for any fuel cells and be sure to use
loops or u-turns when star wolf is chasing you.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found it easier with Slippy.
Once star wolf is defeated, the mission is over.

This blob has 4 smaller drones surrounding it.  They either circle the boss and
fire lasers, or form a row that spins and tries to smash into you.  In either
case you want to roll and lock onto these nodes before shooting them.

Once all 4 are destroyed, the boss starts to divide into copies which fly at
you.  You need to dodge these copies and shoot the boss until he is dead.


Its up to you who to use for this battle, but I found it easier with Fox.

Use your bomb and don't forget the rings in this fight.  Shoot the segments of
the body until they detach, then watch for their shots.  The boss enters holes
in the ground, fires blue cubes and swings his body at you (roll for both
attacks).  It's easy to run out of time in this stage, so you want to roll
through a lot of rings to get some extra time.

Keep up your attacks until the head is in the middle of 8 other segments (looks
like a 3x3 grid).  A green spot moves around and that's the one you want to
shoot.  When it stops moving, that piece launches towards you, so shoot it to

to dodge all these pillars of energy.  It has strong shields so keep shooting
it with all you've got.

These small enemies fly around and sometimes do loops.  They also follow you at
times, so use your loops and u-turns as needed.

This enemy is like a log of orbs all joined together, and each orb has a long
purple beam of energy attached to it.  The orbs spin and you have to avoid the
beams.  Someone with multi-lock works well, as does a bomb or two, but KEEP
YOUR DISTANCE!

These enemies are a trio of triangles that spread and join repeatedly, simply
target them one at a time.

also have a hanging ball below them, which you want to shoot (instead of
them) when it appears.

need to wait for the hatch underneath to open and shoot the ship at that point.

                                   (G) TIPS
###############################################################################

When locking onto an enemy, try to keep your cursor on them until the lock
takes on a diamond shape (instead of a square).  This means you will do more
damage when you release the shot, and can mean HUGE damage for multi-lock
characters if you get a MAX lock.

Killing 100 enemies produces 10 coins in a ring, the coins are only present for
a brief period.  Collecting them gives you extra time and collecting all of
them gets you an extra life.

Try to use someone who has a lock-on for the missile slipstream stages, as it
makes them easier.

Try to fly in the paths of multiple enemy zones in a single turn, or near one
and then over to a mother ship or enemy missile.  This way you can fight more
than one in a single turn.  This can also save you missiles and distract them
from the great fox.

Missiles carry over from mission to mission, until you see one of the endings.
So save them if you don't need to use them.  Bombs don't, so be sure to use
them if you can.

When a path has no more branches to it and you've already completed it, you
will see a star above the final choice for that path (on the planet map) to
indicate that you've finished it before.
