This is FAQ/Walkthrough based on Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales
for Nintendo DS, US version that is released on 3rd of April 2007. All
the informations of this document are depending on my playthrough, so
please excuse some possible flaws that will be fixed as soon as I can.

Althought I avoided to explain the story, but it might still contains some
minor spoilers of the game. And I'm trying a different style on making this
walkthrough unlikely those common paragraphed walkthroughs, hope you like it.

Any boss or enemy duel infomations are not written in the walkthrough.
However, these informations are listed under "4. DUELLIST CARDS" section.

<< Minigames/Microgames >>

The mini-game has two type, which are storyline and optinal mini-game.
They can be found from the magical picture book displayed as a book icon
or certain objects displayed as ! on the map.

All the mini-games from the picture book are require to be cleared at certain
level in order to continue the story, and the difficulties are easy. Of cause,
if you beaten the higher difficulties, you will get extra rewards such as
dueling cards and chocobo card (the chocobo needed to be rescued), and some
of them unlock new areas in order to find more microgames and cards.

As for the optional mini-games, also know as microgame, will award you with
extra dueling card when you cleared the appointed level/rank.

Players can play all these games under Quick Play menu when it was done or
activated in the Story Mode. But playing in the Quick Play mode cannot unlock
the new stuffs.

<< Pop-Up Duel >>

Easy words, it's the battle by using cards.

~Cards
Cards are listed under the "Card" section on the top right icon menu.
You can obtain total 122 cards and 5 secret cards in the game for dueling.
They can be found in the mini-games as reward after you had reached to the
appointed ranking, and some of them are located everywhere in the map.

~Deck
The deck has to be set by using the cards that you own before start dueling.
Cards are set in the selected deck will be using in the duel, each of the
cards has different usage and strong or weak, so setup a good deck in order
to get your victory easier.

~Taking turns
About player or opponent initiates posting their card is depending on how
faster the card is selected (choose the card on the touch screen and slide
it up). The one has selected the card earlier than the other will perform
the first strike.

~Viewing (top screen)
Middle top indicates the time remaining for this turn
Top right is your opponent's status
Bottom left is your chocobo's status
Bottom right is the colour of the cards that your opponent has

~Viewing (touch screen)
This screen shows the cards available to use for current turn.
After selecting a card, this screen shows the selected cards; left side is
the card you had selected and right side is the card your opponent selected,
of cause the details of the card's abilities do show here as well.

Anyway, I think I can't explain everything well for some players, you can
check and read every details before starting the first duels in the game.

<< Using Card >>

~Informations
The description in the card explain its ability, each of the cards has
4 different zones at each side (top, bottom, left, right). The symbol 
inside the zone at each side of a card indicate the attack or defend.
  -> EXAMPLE: 061 Mist Dragon - Mist Breath
This card has shield symbol in the red zone and sword symbol in the blue
zone, it means this card could block attacks from red zone, and attack
opponent on blue zone, it may also halve the damage taken from blue zone.
Both yellow and green zones are empty mean nothing can do with the attack
from these two zones.

~Crystal Ability
Using a card in duel will charge the CP depending on the colour of that card.
Every cards with Crystal Ability require corresponding CP in order to perform
it, if player doesn't have enough of CP that's required, the Crystal Ability
cannot be performed. When the Crystal Ability of the card can be used, that
card will shine.

                         Chocobo of Legend, Book of Doom!

1~> Begins in the peaceful chocobo garden. Control your chocobo to speak
    with the white mage, Shirma.

2~> The black magician comes abit later and he bought a magical picture book.
    Open the book by solving the puzzle to trigger a scene.

3~> Check the chocobo card nearby to rescue Chubby.

4~> Go right and examine the picture book to enter the first mini-game.

   Note:
   If you get better record such as clear within 30 seconds, 25 seconds,
   you would get extra cards as reward. And most of the mini-games do not
   require such good record to be passed, however you can get more rewards
   with the better record.

5~> Check the chocobo card nearby to rescue Gazzy.

6~> After some scenes, play the picture book mini-game once again, choose
    battle mode and beat the jailbird.

*~> Go bottom left, enter the room behind the bell to obtain 103 Bahamut card.
    Go below the magical picture book to find 061 Mist Dragon card.

7~> Move to right to the Central Square can find another chocobo.
    Follow until the Mt. Magma at top-right area for an event.

8~> Back to previous area to find Croma.

                         Chocobo of Legend, Book of Doom!

1~> Examine the book outside to enter the mini-game again. Play the
    battle mode and beat all opponents (beat Lv 2). Likewise, you need
    to reach to the top of the mountain.

2~> Enter the house to trigger a scene.

3~> Go to the Mt. Magma at top-right area to unlock the gate.

*~> Pick up the 013 Lamia card near the gate.

4~> Obtain Magnifying Glass from Chubby during the scene.

5~> Move right can find the microgame, Bomber Wall. You can have a try
    on it. Check the magical picture book near the Bomber Wall for your goal.

  |  how strong the elastic is, you can't get higher once you touched the   |
  |  any bomb monster. So sometimes you might need to draw a larger leave   |
  |  to launch the chocobo accurately to the right direction easier.        |

6~> Climb the stalkbean on the left to upper area. The right leads to another
    microgame, Cliffhanger. But now you need to go into the cave that was
    exploded by the bomb just now.

7~> After the scene with Behemoth, leave the cave and Dueler X will appear.
    You may speak with Dueler X to learn about the dueling rules and the
    system before starting the actual duel. By the time you received a
    Starter Deck, 114, 116 and 117 Golbin cards.

8~> Enter the cave again and beat Behemoth to receive 091 Iron Giant.

9~> Head up to find Dueler X again, he will teach you more advance stuffs
    about dueling.

10~> Take the path to up for scene. (Right leads to a Cid's game)

11~> Examine the chocobo card on the left to rescue Gelp.

12~> Examine the picture book on the right to play the mini-game.

7~> Speak with Shrima, then head back to West, speak to Mog in the
    Central Square to obtain Professional Card Case.

8~> Prepare at least 15 cards and set them into one of the decks.

9~> Go East again and defeat Golem. Receive 092 Iron Giant from Golem.

10~> Check the magical picture book behind where Golem was.

  |  invisible moment to get more lasans, but don't purposely go and get    |
  |  hit by the fire or ice.                                                |
