How do I beat a certain pig?

On Day Seven in the Second week, how do you kill the pig in the Shibukyu Main Store. It's sleeping at the start of the battle and It runs away in one hit. Do I have to have a higher attack stat or is there a certain way to kill it?

Just close the DS during the battle.

Close your DS in battle. Then open the DS and the pig should be gone.

Close you ds, and make sure you donthave any pins that inflict status conidtions
